No, they don't sparkle in the sunlight, but they are vampires. Yes, it was inspired by Twilight. So what. Big whoop. This uses the Dracula type vampires, the kind that's killed with a wooden stake through the heart, sunlight or silver bullets.

[spoiler=Preface]I was never superstitious. Sure, vampires make a good novel. But this isn’t a novel. This is a reality. If it wasn’t, I wouldn’t be here right now. I knew I wasn’t insane. If I was, I wouldn’t be here. At least not with a pistol pointed at my head.

My arms were locked behind my back, by legs tied to the wooden chair I was sat on. My clothes were heavily stained with sweat, my hair wild as another salty drop of sweat rolled down my cheek. The men surrounding all had a cross on a chain on their necks, their weapons varying from pistols loaded with silver ammunition to wooden stakes that were to be hammered through my chest if necessary. I was a prisoner for taking my revenge on those who killed my family. Because I was a hunter of fiends. If my comrades were to end up in here, I would give my life to release them.

“I’m not one. If I was, why would I kill those of my own kind?” I croaked. “Throw me outside. You’ll see.” I continued. I did not know how long I had been in here for. A prison with a goblet with deep red blood inside. I was not one. How could I be? It was impossible. Absolutely impossible. If I had to die here, I would have failed myself. I had vowed to avenge my family. My daughter, my wife, my brother... If I was to die, may it be at the hands of a bloodthirsty fiend. “I’m. Not. A. Vampire.” I croaked. “Throw me outside.” I said again. “You’ll see. I won’t burn..” I said firmly.

“There’s no use in that. It’s nighttime outside.” One of my guards replied to me. Drat. I’ll have to wait longer. My suddenly my eyelids slammed shut and my body slumped forward, taking the chair with it. All I remember is my head hitting the hard, cold concrete.
