Death Metal
Shark is miles easier. Unless you happen to be surrounded by them.....while covered in chum.

fategazer
That would depend on what weapons I have. Agreed. Ants would be easiest to kill, but out of killing a hippo, or a shark, it would depend on weapons and matierials.

Amethyst Phoenix
Hippoes are alot faster, and though I'm not certain they can swim faster than a shark, they still have impressive speed both in water and on land. They are not slow and sluggish. People that think that are most likely the same people that refer to Africa as if it's one country >_>

fenrir
[/Thread] Also, before you guys go off on me. Bulls Sharks are the only Shark capable of contact with Hippos. Unless there is another Shark that can swim in freshwater, AND poses a threat to the Hippo.
-Berserker-
About 90% of the shark species are shorter than 1 meter, so when you say "a normal sized shark" I suppose you mean one I can grab with my hands and break it's neck(I know fishes have no neck), so I say sharks. Felix
Where talking aboutA normal sized shark in the waterand a normal sized Hippo in the land How big is a normal sized shark though? Are we talking Bala Shark (which isn't really a shark) or a whale shark? I reck a Hippo is easier to kill.

Also, the only shark that can in contact with a Hippo would be a Bull Shark, others are pretty much irrelevant.
Felix
It's not Shark vs Hippo that we're talking about though.
fenrir
It's not Shark vs Hippo that we're talking about though. It still applies to the case. A Bull Shark could barely get through the hide of a Hippo, and that thing crushed it easily. Hippo Hide > Shark Skin/Scales/Swimsuit armor thing
Felix
No it doesn't, it's totally irrelevant. How the shark would fair against a Hippo has nothing to do with this topic unless of course you tried to kill a Hippo with one. Which animal, Shark or Hippo, is easier for you to kill? That's the topic's question.

Muluck
A hippo. Think about it, hippos can't go more then a couple feet beneath the water. Sharks can descend to depths of 2,000 metres (6,600 ft).

You will still be out of your territory. Sharks can swim over 25 miles an hour, stop on a dime and turn to go the other way in 1.2556 seconds. Even with a bazooka, your chances of killing are approximately 30%.
