[YVD] Sphinx Rock and Roll :)

Well, I read about a lot about different kind of theme's there are. And the one that had me interesting was an "Sphinx"-Theme. So I decided to create a deck around it.

 

Monsters (LVL1-LVL4)

3x Des Lacooda

Reason: It can make sure it flips back in face-down. And everytime it flips, you can draw a Card.

3x A Cat of Ill Omen

Reason: Simple reason. To get the "Pyramid of Light" faster in my hand.

3x Stealth Bird

Reason: It's a monster with a return-flip ability. And it deals 1000 damage everytime it flips. Dangerous monster if you ask me :).

3x Giant Rat

Reason: Multiple reasons, first is another Earth Monster. Second is its ability, summon the "Criosphinx" and then Tribute that one for Exxod.

2x Wall of Illusion

Reason: Your basic: "WTF! NOT AGAIN!"-Monster. It can also have a boos when used with Criosphinx

1x Pyramid Turtle

Reason: It has Pyramid in its name, but also in case everything goes wrong I still have a backup plan with the Vampire Lord.

1x Dancing Fairy

Reason: The cards that I will be playing can cost me a lot of Life Points, the Dancing Fairy are for that reason.

1x Guardian Statue

Reason: Same deal as with "Wall of Illusion" plus its a return-flip monster and an Earth.

1x Golem Sentry

Reason: See "Guardian Statue"

1x Neo-Spacian Grand Mole

Reason: In case it goes wrong, And 1 enemy overpowers me with ATK, this monster can make short work of that (and in a comedical way as well)

1x Magician of Faith

Reason: To return the most annoying Spell Card when I found

 

Monsters (LVL5-LVL6)

3x Guardian Sphinx

Reason: The ultimate return to your hand, a Sphinx so also it can be Tributed for Exxod and an Earth.

3x Criosphinx

Reason: Makes the monster which have the return-to-hand abilities much more effective. Is tributeble for Exxod.

3x Vampire Lord

Reason: In case it goes wrong, Pyramid Turtle + Vampire Lord can make my opponent it hard its effort while still keeping true to the whole Pyramid-theme.

1x Hieracosphinx

Reason: COULD become interesting, but so far this one dissapointed me a little. Still a sphinx though with a reasonable ATK.

 

Monsters (LVL7 or higher)

3x Exxod, Master of the Guard

Reason: The ultimate Guardian, have this one combined with an always flipping Earth deck and be prepared to BURN in Earth-style :). (card is viewable below)

1x Theinen the Great Sphinx

Reason: For additional extra support (card is viewable below)

3x Sphinx Teleia

Reason: For additional extra support + HELLA easy to summon once requirements are set. (card is viewable below)

3x Andro Sphinx

Reason: For additional extra support + HELLA easy to summon once requirements are set. (card is viewable below)

 

Spell Cards:

2x Emergency Provisions

Reason: Returning some Life Points + Destroying "Pyramid of Light" if I wanna summon Theinen.

1x Pyramid Energy

Reason: Extra ATK + DEF

1x Premature Burial

Reason: DUH :).

1x Foolish Burial

Reason: To put a random monster from my deck to my Graveyard, then Special Summon it with Premature Burial after.

1x Mystical Space Typhoon

Reason: Destroying enemy annoying spell/trap or destroy Pyramid of Light for Theinen.

1x Canyon

Reason: Support for the EARTH-type :).

 

Trap Cards:

3x Pyramid of Light

Reason: The entire card which revolves around the deck. (card is viewable below)

2x Solemn Wishes

Reason: Extra LifePoints added.

1x Wall of Revealing Light

Reason: Protecting the monsters, perfect to use with Dancing Fairy.

1x Torrential Tribute

Reason: To destroy every monster on the field, in case it goes horribly wrong :).
