Well I can totally see this:

Lelouch: Behold, Brittania! We are the Black Knights!

*behind him appear the power rangers in various poses*

Lelouch: *facepalms* I could have gotten Kallen and the rest of the resistance, I could have gotten a guerrile force, but no....I had to choose the teenagers with attitude problems...

lol I could see that as well. However, I do not believe Viewtiful Joe to be a power rangers ripoff. The storylines of the two aren't even remotely related, aside from the tennager getting powers from a watch thing, but that's the only similarity, and even then the powers afforded are quite different.

Do the power rangers (except for turbo) have the power of Mach Speed? No. Do they have the power of Slow or Zoom? No. Are they awesome enough to be able to use their powers and make up new attacks ON THE SPOT? No. Do they have an awesome one person ship that forms the cpu of an awesome giant fighting robot which so far has only been used ONCE? No.

The only way that I am seeing it as being even remotely a ripoff is the V-Watch and Mach Speed concepts, as Joe only used Robo-Six once, where as the power rangers used their multi-piece Zords in just about every single episode.

So yeah, similarities in only two aspects, and even then only one of them was similar in a specific arc. Sorry, but no. Just no.

No. Mighy Morphin has the Radbug, Lightspeed travels insanely fast through SPACE, Power Rangers in Space travel at Mach speeds on SWORDS! Do they have the power of Slow or Zoom? No. You have obviously never seen them flying around in Slow mo after dodging an attack, and as for a speed up what do you call the Red Ranger's power boosts? Are they awesome enough to be able to use their powers and make up new attacks ON THE SPOT? No. Except for the fact that they make up a ton of them on the sopt involving team work and new weapons and skills in every series. Do they have an awesome one person ship that forms the cpu of an awesome giant fighting robot which so far has only been used ONCE? No. Dragonzord says hi.

There isn't a set definition for Otaku.

BUT

It USED to be an insult.

Now, mostly for Americans, it means someone obsessed with someone.

But to generalize, someone who is a fan of something.

I myself am an anime/manga Otaku.
