Best Exodia type: Appropriate Exodia

Recommended Posts

This is what I run. It's a moderately priced deck that gives you varied BUT 7/10 success. This deck was about 200-250 total, but that was because I used a different site. One could probably get it for $100-$150 on some certain sites.

This is all about Exodia and how to draw him along with a load of other cards. Level 4's with high attack might be good with an offensive Exodia deck. I did not use or try to make a Defensive Exodia deck. Cards (namely Red Dragon Archfiend) nowadays will make mincemeat of my Defense Position monsters. Witch of the Black Forest (which is banned by the way) is next to garbage. I planned to put a bunch of useless normal Monsters, but I then I found out they were useless and hindered my chances of drawing the useful EFFECT Monsters.

It is based off of the card Appropriate. Trying to limit the monsters though. This deck is mostly depends on my traps and spell cards.

Wow. I've seen you post this so many times. I kind of agree with the above, and the deck doesn't seem like it would work very fast... by the time you get enough cards out to try to get the pieces, the damage could have built up on you... No gravity bind, level limit area B, backup soldier, hand/card destructions,? These are like staples in Exodia. Also, if anything, at least take out Magic Cylinder for Gravity Bind...

That's my opinion, though I would never run Exodia like this, I run a self-mill Exodia deck. Anyway, try putting the above mentioned cards, and hopefully someone else will be able to help you more, I didn't really know how to...

Run something more like this:

5x Exodia

3x Dogma

3x Plasma

2x Dreadmaster

3x Broww

1x Blue-Eyes Toon Dragon

1x Stratos

3x Trade In

3x Destiny Draw

2x Allure

3x Hand Destruction

3x Dark World Dealings

3x Toon Table of Contents

2x Dark Eruption

2x Foolish

Now this^ looks solid. Though, extra toon dragon? I found in the past that if you drew the only toon, ttoContents becomes an annoying dead draw, and no hand destrucs? Just thought...

@Mirrors: Try to make your build like this, huh

There are three hand destructions there. How are you not seeing them?

I made this in like thirty seconds. I'm never going to use it and it has a bunch of flaws. Just kind of a framework.

Foolish+Eruption is a really weak idea and I want to replace that with something else as well.

Woah' date=' I did not see that 0.0 My mistake, eh =P well "Foolish+eruption" could be replaced by, hm... Milling cards, like lolsworns and backup soldier? You could also throw in a few recharges in there and it would make for a fast mill/pickup, no?

This deck was about 200-250 total
Gandora made me notice this... that's a waste, dude, seriously...

To be fair, most of that cost was probably the Bribes, which are useful in nearly any deck you make.

Anyway, Appropriate Exodia isn't that bad. It's main problem is speed, yes, which a general build like Genzo's fair outstrips it in, but Appropriate exodia gives you the opportunity to run some anti-meta.

Also, this version of the deck is MUCH better than the original one he posted, trust me. I think his deck building skills are really quickly increasing.

Changes below.

Side Deck (if you use them, I don't):

Somehow I doubt you have the concept of a Side-Deck down pat. Basically, it shouldn't be filled with cards that ALMOST made it into the main deck, but with counter-cards in case you face certain deck types

I'll explain my reasonings in a moment.

Stop suggesting your decks in other peoples threads' date=' it's not cool.

Anyway, @Blazing Hydra-> I see now that Dark bribes could very well cost about 100 bucks by themselves 0.0 That's why they're being reprinted in the structure deck ;)

[/quote']

Tell me about it. I got my copies as a birthday gift from a friend who works at a hobby shop, so I never even knew about the cost until much later.

In any case, Crystal-Ice's got me thinking. I've seen Greed builds before, but Appropriate's always been a more interesting card to me. There has to be some way to make this Deck faster...
