Dimmu Borgir

Eh. Dimmu Borgir hasn't released an exceptional album since 1997. Enthrone Darkness Triumphant was their last great album. Everything from that point on is either mediocre or terrible. ;\

They do, however, put on a great show. I seen them live back in like 2007 when they toured with Behemoth and Kataklysm.

Their best song is either Spellbound, Stormblast, or Antikrist.

They alright.

Not a fan of black Metal though =/

Dimmu Borgir hasn't been black metal since like 1995. ;\

Lmao.

Shows you how much I've listened to them. =/

It's all good. I guess, in a way, you could kind of consider them black metal up until roughly 1999. Spiritual Black Dimensions was their last album with any REAL black metal influence. With the release of Puritanical Euphoric Misanthropia, they started to stray from their black metal roots. PEM had A LOT of industrial influences in it. At their current stage, I'd call them symphonic extreme metal. That's just me getting technical, however. ;\

Eh. Not really. Everyone rants and raves about Burzum's atmosphere and how Varg is a master of atmospheric/depressive black metal, but I don't see the hype about it. I've listened to basically every Burzum album and none of them really impress me too much.

If I'm in the mood for something really raw and atmospheric, I'll throw Burzum on, but I won't really listen to them on a daily basis.

OLD MAN'S CHILD > DIMMU BORGIR

Galder's band (galder is the guitarist btw) is x10 time better than Dimmu Borgir in every single way.

You better be talking about post-1997 Dimmu Borgir. D:

It would be a close call, probably with Dimmu Borgir leading just due to the fact that they were pretty awesome back in the day. BUT OMC had the decency to sound somewhat the same throught all of their albums. So it really depends on your opinion. ;)

I would have to take Dimmu over OMC. I'm quite partial to Dimmu.

PSSSHHHH please.

If you prefer Dimmu Borgir (as they are now) to OMC (as they are now) then it's obvious that you haven't listened to Revelation 666 yet.

BUT if you reffering to each band's track record as a whole and using that to guide your opinion then i'll agree with you.

What kind of guy would I be if I chose the present Dimmu over the present OMC? I wouldn't even choose the present Dimmu over the present Miley Cyrus. >.>;

Dimmu Borgir (pre-1997) > All of OMC.
