Play metroid fusion. The enemies are these wierd things called the X that infect things, kill them, and then turn into them. Generally speaking they are called what they turned into +X. Ex. Samus gets infected and they call it SA-X(samus aran-X). One of the bosses "cerris" is infected and they call him Cerris-X.

and that's basically the size and shape of things, not to mention there being points and times where you have to hide from the SA-X, and even one point where you have to run from it and hope not to get killed by it. xD

Sort of funny, thats exactly where I am in the game xD. Its just that SA-X has the Ice beam and at the begining you get your DNA spliced with a metroid making you weaker to the cold.

but yeah, until you get the varia suit, SA-X equipped w. Isu Bimu = completely screwed confrontational wise.

that so? my whole problem with the metroid series in general is that i can never find the damned items, or at least not all of them. i think the highest percentage rate for my gathering items in any game was something like 75% or something like that.

metroid 1st person 3D >>> metroid 3rd person 2D. it makes it a whole lot more interesting and allows for longer story lines. that and the increased difficulty level it creates + the increased evasion level it allows makes for a very fun game.

that would be because you have never played the series before. xD download the gba emulator and play metroid fusion and/or metroid zero mission. then get the gamecube or wii (if you don't already have one) and but metroid prime and/or metroid prime 2 echoes and play it, okay? you'll see what i mean if you do that.
