They summon the monsters from out of play AND it provides protection while your waiting for the chance to summon a monster since they can be normal summoned. Also they have so many removal drawbacks because they make it almost impossible to not have a monster to summon since each time you use an effect you have to remove cards (which should be monsters) from play which then allows you to summon them easily with spells or the support cards.
