"No, its just where Tomoyo was that bothered me." Gatomon replied. "The huamnw orld is a beautiful place but the people in it arne't so mcuh. Well, some anyway."

Tomoyo blushed. "Sorry..when someone sees past my defenses, well...then it gets easier for me to tlak to them and be firneds with them...What? Do you wnat me to go back to being col and distant?" She hope dhe would say no. She oculd stand to after making her first friend.

Elecmon shrugged. "The digital world's less content to play by logic and reason than your human world is. There's no telling that this river will ever run by any civilization, or if it doesn't simply go in a loop. Rivers here can do that. The fact that these civilizations move occasionally don't help. So in short, the plan's no better or worse than any other I've heard."

Lyet paused for a second, then shrugged. "Myself and Angemon could fly ahead and see if there's any signs of a city or anything. At worst, we could get a grasp of where we are in the middle of the wilderness."

"How not so much?" Patamon asked Gatomon, flying around above her head "Because we can probably take them"

"Of course not" Mark assured her "It's just a very pleasant surprise." he chuckled "So, anything on your mind?" he asked Tomoyo. He then turned to Lyet and Elecmon "That sounds like a pretty good plan, bring DemiDevimon too, she could do with a lot less alone time" He thought for a moment "If the nearest settlement isn't nearby though, we probably need some canteens to carry some drinking water in" he added "I have an idea for water storage but we need something to drink out of"

IC: "I think I might be able to help." Vix spoke up.

She then turned to her Digivice, which she had recently dubbed "Mikey" after the fact that it was a Bio Link Digivice MK-II.

"Mikey, do you have a map feature?"

"Affirmative."

"Well, would you activate it for me?

"Activating holograaphic map."

A holographic map of the Digital World appeared in front of everyone, with a blinking red dot proclaiming "You Are Here".

OOC: Feel free to add on.

Lyet blinked, and examined the map. He looked around the areas and gaps, scrutinizing them. After a few moments, he shook his head. "I've never been this far west. I haven't the foggiest where we are." he glanced around at the map once more. "There doesn't seem to be any readily obvious civilization nearby. Then again, that doesn't mean much here... a lot of places are nomadic, and move around. Others just like to stay hidden..." he frowned a little. "I'm still going to take a top view. You'd probably better come too Patamon, DemiDevimon." he said before jumping into the air.

Ren blinked, and poked the map. He cocked his head to the side when his finger went through, and caused a pleasent buzzing sensation down it. He removed his finger after a moment. "Neat"

elecmon rolled his eyes. "You'd be impressed by a colorful rock."

OOC: Patamon's back at the camp

DemiDevimon chuckled at the 'colorful rock' comment "Alright" she said, flying off Vix's shoulder "Since Angemon's got a 4 wing advantage over us, I say you and I go one way, he goes the other way" she reasoned "He may be an annoying ass hamster as a rookie, but Angemon's all business"

Mark, too, smiled at the colorful rock comment and nodded in agreement with DemiDevimon's logic

OOC: Wait. It gets better!

IC: After gawking at the map for a bit, Vix realized that there was no scale.

"Mikey, how big is this map?"

"Our current location, Number Pad 7, is, obviously, the 7th of the Number Pad Islands. It is also the 3rd-biggest of the Number Pad archipelago."

A small scale appeared off to the side, revealing that the island was about the size of the state of Texas.

Vix was stunned at this information.

"Mikey, zoom out to full view." she asked with a bit of hesitation in her voice.

The map then zoomed out to reveal that they were inside of a giant metal sphere surrounding a sun and five moons. The outside of the sphere had the surface of earth engraved on its surface, but the inside was huge, and resembled nothing like Earth's normal features, but was divided into five main groupings and a massive ocean, which had a small dot saying "You Are Here" near what was labeled as "Domain of Azulongmon", a place with lots of mountains. There was also the Domains of Zhuqiaomon, which looked like it had lots of deserts and foggy patches, Ebonwumon, containing vast jungles the size of lunar rotations, Baihumon, featuring massive cities and wastelands, and Fanglongmon, having various civilizations and (relatively) smaller territories.

"Mikey, is this scale reading correct?"

"Affirmative."

"Then the Digital World...is 200 MILLION miles in diameter!"

"Affirmative. The Digital World is what would be classified as a 'Dyson Sphere'."

OOC: Wiki Freeman Dyson. He had some crazy ideas built on some insane scales.

OOC: [/u] not [u/] also, Dyson as in the vacuum guy?

Even DemiDevimon's jaw dropped a fraction of an inch when she saw that. She had lived in the Digital World for quite a long time, enough to have had her data reformatted enough times to predict what her digivolutions would be each time. She shivered at the memory of being trapped as a Tsukaimon

(OOC; odd, because a Dyson Sphere is defined as any structure capable of surrounding a star. Making the digital world a Dyson Sphere is actually rather inventive...If I understand your description correctly, that means the digital world as we know it has a Reverse Planetary Contour; Aka, If you went directly into the air from one spot, you'd eventually land on the other side of the 'world'. In addition, it'd theoretically be possible to dig your way into space.)

Ren blinked, then paused slowly. "Wait... 200 million miles... in diameter?" He paused, then bit a knuckle. "...I don't know much about Macroscience, but... wouldn't a planet that size crush us all with it's gravity?"

Elecmon shook his head. "It's not quite a planet. Take a closer look; the Digital World actually surrounds its moons and star, not the other way around. Imagine a giant ball, with the sun and the moons inside the center, spinning. Then imagine the world on the inside surface of that ball; that's what the Digital world is."

Ren paused. "Wait a second... would that mean..."

Elecmon nodded. "Yes. The digital world has more inhabited surface area, than the surface area of its sun. I know it's a bit of a shock."

Piddomon came down after a few minutes, and shook his head. "It's a no-go. There's nothing but trees and the river for as far as I can see, and the Ocean farther south. There's a few mountains towards the East, though."

ooc: sorry for being away

IC: Tomoyo remained silent, slipping into her other character without mant noticeing if any at all. She wans't all that surprised at how huge this world was. She kind-of expected it.

Gatomon quickly switched subjects. "Do you htink it'll rain?" She pointed otwards the dark clouds headed their way.

OOC: Fied my previous post.

IC: Vix did a few calculations and came to the conclusion that the Digital World had the surface area of about a quarter of a billion Earths.

"Wow. That's big."

"Affirmative. The Digital World could be considered "big" by any scale."

"The Digital World has also stabilized to these dimensions within the past few local solar cycles (OOC: years), meaning that the current size will allow for expansion for countless generations to come without any need of resizing."

"Impressive."

Vix then turned to her comrades.

"So...where do we go from here?"

"Well, I think Piddomon and I are going to check out the eastern mountains to search for any sign of civilization" Devidramon told Vix "If your digivolutions can fly, you're welcome to help"

Mark casually took Tomoyo's hand again and smiled, the extraordinary mass of the Digital World didn't seem to bother him in the slightest, in fact, he seemed to brighten up considerably when he saw the scale reading

"Possibly" Patamon said looking up at the clouds "Why, don't you like the rain?" he asked Gatomon, cocking his upper torso to one side curiously

Ren wiped the back of his palm across his forehead. "'Big' is a slight understatement. Something of that size, would take several generations just get to the next quarter."

Elecmon shrugged. "The entire world's fairly populated. Our sun's actually the giant Central Processor of it all; we call it CPU. Anyway, at times it sends to send out tendrils of Random Access Memory, kind of like solar flares, that gather up any data they hit and randomly disperse it somewhere else in the digital world. Considering the scales involved, It's pretty likely you're nowhere you've ever seen before. Then again, Digimon live considerably longer than Humans, especially considering the digital world has a differant sense of time than Earth; despite only existing for less than a hundred Earth Years, the digital world is over 2.5 Billion years old by our clock. In fact, the digital world's time is so slow in comparison to the Human world, that by the time you get back, even if you stayed here for a hundred years, maybe a couple miliseconds will have gone by in Earth. Even when we die, we just get Reformatted, which is temporary memory loss at worst, so pretty much everyone here is a lot more long-lived than humans are."

Ren blinked. "So, something so massive isn't as big a problem with you, then?"

"Not particularly. Because of our decreased sense of time, we've had a LOT longer to populate our world. Plus, since we don't die but we can reproduce, the population is always expanding at a steady rate."

Piddomon frowned a little as he looked at the map. "By my calculations, I'm nearly five centuries away, flying time by my own wings, from my home. That's inconvenient." He muttered, then stretched out his wings. "Oh well. To the mountains, then."

(OOC; is it just me, or did we just do the most awesome piece of Digimon Worldbuilding I've ever seen? I'm tempted to write a fanfic around this concept now...)

Piddomon raised an eyebrow, though of course it was invisible beneath his helmet. "Wait, by those calculations, it means that Perfects are more than 72 times faster than an Adult's top speed. My Perfect can't fly either, or at least not well, so it doesn't matter, but still..." He shrugged a little.

"That would be the best thing to do, yeah." He said, flying over the bows of some of the trees and glancing down through the foliage. The trees were mainly coniferous, with the thick scent of pine wafting away from them, which seemed odd due to the almost tropical nature of the island. Tropical Coniferous trees? Interesting...

"There's a group of Woodmon, Mushroomon, and a Cherrymon about three miles east...west? That direction" She finally said, pointing diagonally to their left "With the sun below us, it's hard to tell" she admitted "But I'm on barely speakable terms with a Palmom, Togemon, Lalamon, and Sunflowmon in that general direction" The fruits of her late-night flights revealed

OOC: Mind if I bring in a new character with a Frontier-esque spirit and a Digimon?

"We may as well get some water don't you think?" Mark asked Tomoyo, giving her another smile and walking back to the river that feeds the lake, taking a decidedly roundabout route to get there

Patamon Patahugged Gatomon "Awww" he said sadly "I wish I knew that earlier, I'm great at cheering people up" he told Gatomon, looking up just as the rain started

OOC: I don't, though I don't own the RP. Somehow, we seem to have hijacked the RP.

Lyet nodded. "Well then, we should probably head that way." he said with some authority. He beat his wings, increasing his speed a little. "You've been around here for a while, then? I was picked up by a RAM flare about an hour before I found Raina, so I've got no clue about the surroundings."
