Like I said, I'll allow leniency with quotas if it's legitimately due to scheduling.

J, tell me, did you actually read any of the rules prior to joining this tournament? It seems strange to me that you're asking so many questions NOW, when you had over a month's time to do so previously.

And if you had been paying any attention whatsoever, you'd know that the issue with NFE has been touched on several times. I'm not going to repeat myself - if you need to know the guidelines, go back and read through the pages in this thread.

I have a question, even though I am not part of a tourney.

Is it against the rules to lose on purpose to stop your own winning streak?

At first glance, this seems like a stupid idea.

But, if you are winning 3 or 4 games in a row, losing one game might make people get the false impression that you suck, and therefore decide to battle you. This means you will rack up 2 or 3 wins in comparison to 1 loss.

In some tournies, this is against the rules as misleading information, but in others, it's simply considered an odd strategy.

Thanks in advanced! :3

Sorry about that, I saw the banned pokemon list but as I was making my team I forgot to check back to see the banned pokes list. As soon as Ham told me that Tangela is banned, I forghfeited.

Whatever way you choose to deal with me I respect.

EDIY: OMG I just made an EPIPOKE!!! It's so good it took out 2 pokes when I used it in UU (It's a basic, made for this tourney)

In the end I lost 1-0 to an awesome UU team (but hax was on my side)

EDIT: Just won 3-0 against a UU team!! :D This time my poke took out 3!! (But they had 3 turn of hax)

But after I had obviously won, hax was on their side. :|, where is every1?!?! D:

Yeah, I think I'm dropping out of my own tournament. xD;; Time constraints and what-not.

But I've tallied the scores, and so far, the standings are:

FD: 18 Points

Tekken: 44 Points

J: -30 Points (25 from losses, 5 from a score penalty for using Tangela. Even if you surrendered, you should have checked the ban list prior to battle.)

DD: 0 (Likely will be dropped due to non-participation)

Feel free to check my math and make any corrections.

I'm prepared to advance onto the next round, if you guys are.

@Dark: Yes, I could care less if you throw out a free loss. xD

Because FD is very nice and totally awesome he also didn't mention the fact that I used Electabuzz D=

I was checkin the ban list like crazy then WHEN we battled Tekken reminded me that pokes with babies r banned :O

I was like OYAR!! D=

EDIT:Just read ALL DA RULEZ agen but I can't find ta bit where pokes with babies r banned D=

Also what is a circumstantial clause, and is the item clause when only 1 poke can hold a type of item?

It doesn't say Pokemon with Babies are banned, but it implies it. I banned Single-Stage Pokemon, and Single-Stage Pokemon that later received evolutions.

I permissed the use of their babies if they have one. However, I never said all Pokemon with Babies are banned - after all, Pokemon like Jigglypuff and Pikachu (assuming it doesn't hold a Light Ball) are acceptable.

Yes, Item Clause means that only one of an item can be equipped throughout your team. -.-

And Circumstantial means that it only applies in the given circumstance. I would have thought that was obvious.
