question about card pics

im a noob here and dont know alot about this site, and if this is against some kind of rule or im doing this wrong i apologize, but i wanted to ask how most of everyone gets their pics for their cards. i tried making my own and they just came out horrible so if anyone could give me some good suggestions or advice i would really appreciate it. thank you

Find any image online, save it to your computer (right-click -> Save Image As). Upload and generate. If you're really a noob, don't re-size your images; just cram any image no matter the size or shape into the Card Maker, then cringe at the fecal matter that is created. If you want to have any sense of class, re-size them.
