Also, so that this doesn't get locked, let's just turn this into a discussion about Famitracker, k?

For those that don't know, Famitracker is a program that makes 8-bit NES chiptunes. As in REAL LEGITIMATE 8-bit music (this is proven by the fact that you can make .NSF files out of them, which can be played on NES emulators). Nothing like GXSSC, which is NOT legit.

GXSSC-Take an MIDI file and stick it through this program to make it sound somewhat 8-bitish

Famitracker-Write everything out note-by-note, including all effects, percussions, and such.

For some reason' date=' the tutorial won't show up and I already tried downloading Adobe reader. Plus (or Minus), the help function on the program itself won't run.

Then try looking on Youtube. I'm sure there are a few tutorials. It's up to you to see which is best.

Going on youtube seems to work. But for some reason' date=' when I do seperate notes, the tone of the previous note fills in the gap. How can I prevent this?

It depends on which version of Famitracker you use (I think). Normally, you just press a certain key (I think it's the ; key, but I'm, not positive) and it creates a stop to the previous note. For some reason, either it does not exist in the latest version of Famitracker, or it does not work. So I make an intrument that has no sound and use that instead.
