More characters will appear as the series progresses. Enjoy! Zyre sat by the table, staring at the 4 decks he had assembled. Today was the Duel Academy Exam. He had thought and rethought each deck, Dinosaurs, Warriors, Spellcasters and Machines. His performance in the test duel today would be reflected on which deck chosen. Each deck had strengths and weaknesses. The Exam was scheduled to begin in half an hour so Zyre decided to choose his deck as he walked. He reached over and picked hid duel disk of the table before slipping it onto his arm. While he walked to the academy he became mixed in with a load of other kids who were also taking the exam and his duel disk drew several stares. You see, it was not your conventional disk, when it came together ready to duel it made a sickle shape. Staring at his disk he made the choice, Warriors. Recently he had added the all powerful Black Luster Soldier to his deck and he was eager to test it. Also in the clump was his best friend, Alex.“Hey Z,” he said, “decided yet?”“You bet!” Replied Zyre holding up his deck, “Time for some slice and dice with my warriors! By the way, where did you come in the written exam?”“Oh yeah, I came about 20th.”“Awesome!” Replied Zyre, “I came 21st.”“No surprise,” Alex said casually, “we’ve duelled together for ages. We’ve practiced and practised. We’re guaranteed Ra Yellow unless we completely fluff up.”Once they reached the Kaiba Dome where the test was to take place they were separated in the throng. It was awesome. There were duels going on everywhere. Zyre heard his name called. Already! He was nervous as he made his way to the duelling arena. When he arrived he saw his opponent. The examiner was waiting, arms folded. When he saw Zyre he simply activated his duel disk and drew his hand.“Since you’re new here I’ll let you go first.” Said the Examiner.Zyre drew his hand. It had: Call of the Haunted, Warrior Lady of the Wasteland, Command Knight, Black Luster Ritual, Reinforcement of the Army and Release Restraint. He place Command Knight and Call of the Haunted face down and ended his turn. “Huh, defending already,” smiled the examiner, “you must be desperate.”The examiner summoned a Gemini Elf and attacked. Command Knight was revealed and the attack was halted. The examiner hid his frustration by also placing a face down. Zyre drew his card. Perfect! The Black Luster Soldier.“Now I activate Black Luster Ritual! I sacrifice Warrior Lady of the Wasteland and Command Knight to summon Black Luster Soldier!” Now the examiner was scared.“Black Luster Soldier, attack Gemini Elf!” The Elf was obliterated and the examiners points dropped down to 2900.“Now prepare to lose your precious soldier,” sneered the examiner,” I reveal Call of the Haunted to bring back Gemini Elf. Then, I sacrifice it to play my Great Majugarzett with 3800 ATK points. Now I’ll annihilate your Monster!”Zyre was aghast as his points were reduced to 3200. Aside from losing his soldier, he had lost all his monsters, all he had in his hand were spells. He drew, perfect, he thought, Fusion Sword Murasame Blade. “I can use it to power up my Black Luster Soldier once I revive it with Call of the Haunted, but it will still be a stalemate against his Great Majugarzett.” He thought, “Wait I have a plan that should work!“Prepare to lose,” he said to the examiner. “I play Reinforcement of the Army to add Gearfried the Iron Knight to my hand. Then I summon him and activate Release Restraint to summon Gearfried the Swordmaster. Next I equip him with Fusion Sword Murasame Blade to raise his strength by 800. Now I know his points are still less than your Great Majugarzett but that doesn’t matter. Since my Gearfried was equipped with a spell I can nuke your monster.”The examiner was aghast as his card was destroyed and he was attacked directly.“Game over!” Link to comment Share on other sites More sharing options...
