Freeshooter
"Fine. No magic. This will be brawn and blades only. Din! Make sure that Sage doesn't escape." Teliae quickly donned his Diamond Gauntlets, and Boots, ensuring they were on tight. "Now, before we begin, I must perform something. It is a mere show of honor, meaning that I am prepared to die. You must also perform this, so do as I do. If you do not, then I shall not fight you." Teliae removed his bag, taking out four stones. He then smashed 2 of these stones into his ears, which left them bloodier than ever. However, he did not utter a moan, a scream, a shriek, anything. Teliae then threw two rocks along the ground to Pha'ubo. "You must disable your hearing, or sight, using these stones. Meaning, smash them into your ears or eyes. But, this fight may only last 5 minutes. I promised the Dark Lord a quick return. And I've already been gone an hour." Teliae then put himself in a stance, showing he was ready to bow; sealing chivalrous deal. "I am, pretty sure though, that your magic will heal your wounds after the battle. For some reason, I always heal quickly, so I will be able to return to the castle with my ears repaired as well."
Hydra of Ages
There was a jingle of musical notes and a childish giggle. Sohre, complete in musical attire, stood next to the Sage, examining the frightened-looking Kokiri. Sohre cocked his head at him, then looked towards Teliae. "Hey, you worked quickly, didn' you?" he said, vaguely melodically. He cocked his head at the Sage again. "Hey you're... Sado, right?" There was a furious nod, and the Kokiri blinked up at him, scrambling to say a word. "I...remember you?" he said, confused. Sohre shook his head and chuckled. "Unlikely. You Kokiri have no sense of time; anything that isn't now, you forget. Probably why nobody really likes you." he paused. "Though I remember you... you're pretty stupid to be a sage, aren't you?" he glanced around. "And where's your instrument?" Sado blinked at him. "My... what?" "Your instrument. You know, the Divine Instrument of the Winds that helps power the Master Sword. You are a Sage, right?" "...Yes..." "Then... wait, which sage? Earth or Wind?" Sado seemed confused. "What do you mean? There's only Seven sages... Forest, Light, Fire, Water, Shadow, Spirit, and Time... what do you mean?" Sohre sighed. "I was afraid of this." he flicked through his musical instruments, and chose a small black fiddle. He played a couple notes, apparently completely ignoring the other humanoids nearby. Otaku-sama
Pha'ubo chuckled at Teliae's questionable demand. He was impressed in a way that he had the "chutzpah" to gouge out his vital senses."Impressive...Very well then..." Pha'ubo chuckled as he picked up the rocks. He followed suit and gouged out his eyes, blood running down his golden mask. He just had to wait for Teliae to follow suit. Of course, there was always a possibility that his opponent could be decieving him and is ready to take advantage of his weakness, but Pha'ubo was already prepared for such an occasion. Freeshooter
"Hmm, I really thought you would choose your ears. Oh well. Now. En garde, Mystic!" Teliae charged at Pha'ubo, aiming at Pha'ubos face with his fists, and his reproductive organ with his feet. Teliaes eyes wandered off to the Sage, ensuring he hadn't escaped. "Sohre! Please take this Sage to King Ganondorf! Tell him I will return shortly! Din, go with Sohre. This could get ugly." He immediately focused his eyes back on Pha'ubo. Hydra of Ages
Sohre chuckled, and plucked a string on his fiddle. Immediately, the earth rose from beneath into two, two-tiered rocks, forming a chair-like object. Sohre sat down and relaxed. "Why? This could be fun." he giggled a little. "Lord Gannondorf told me to be your guide; nothing said that stopped while you left the castle. Plus, this could be interesting." He glanced at the Sage from the corner of his eye and shrugged. "Trust me, he aint going anywhere."
Otaku-sama
Pha'ubo chuckled as he easily evaded Teliae's awkward strike against his weak points."My my, I did not expect such cowardice from you! Aiming below the belt!"Pha'ubo jumped backward in a backflip, landing on his feet. This was the reason for his choice. Without an inner ear, one cannot keep balance easily. Pha'ubo focused his energies into his right foot, then with a grunt, stomped the ground. This created a suprisingly strong tremour that created a small fissure that headed towards Teliae. Freeshooter
Teliae jumped towards Pha'ubo, lifting himself off of the ground and avoiding the small earthquake. Teliae's fist was but 10 centimeters away from Pha'ubos face, Teliaes eyes burning with bloodshed. "Graaaaaaaah!" Teliae released a war cry, which resounded across the plains around them. The blood from his ears, flying around the two combatants. A small drop of it leaked into Teliaes mouth. His eyes turned blood red. For some odd reason, tasting blood seemed to anger him. "Die now, Mystic!" He yelled in a deep, forlorn blood lust.
Hydra of Ages
Sohre chuckled a little bit, his irises seeming to glint slightly red in the light. "My my... this little Kokiri seems to know surprisingly little about the Mystics, does he not, Pha?" he giggled a little bit, and reclined a little in his stone chair. - Lya panted as she glanced around a clearning. It looked good enough to make camp in. Pele was floating forlornely in the corner, evidently upset she hadn't found a water source for him today. She guessed she would make it up to him tomorrow. she opened her travel bag and retrieved a sleeping bag, a lantern, and a small bundle of sticks as she began to build her campsite. She blinked as she heard a rustle in the bushes, glancing towards them cautiously.
Otaku-sama
Pha'ubo noticed an increase in his anger and knew he could use this to his advantage. In one fluid motion, he simply sidestepped the charging Teliae and used his own momentum to throw him into the ground."You fight like an hungry animal! This is pathetic!" Pha'ubo cursed at his opponent, even though he knew he couldn't hear him. Pha'ubo focused and began to appear to vibrate. He split into multiple copies of himself."Let's see how much of an animal you are..."
Freeshooter
Teliae stopped, breathing deeply and realizing what had happened. "I'm sorry for that bit of... anger. I will now fight more calmly." Teliae stopped breathing deeply, but began to do it normally. "Only one will cast a shadow." Teliae opened his eyes, turning around and spotting Pha'ubo. "There!" Teliae got onto his knees, punching the ground and causing a tremor worse than Pha'ubos. One that could kill.
Otaku-sama
OoC: Your character cannot respond to my character's comments. He gouged out his ears remeber?IC: When Teliae attacked the copy he thought was the original, all the copies vanished, leaving only a shadow under Teliae. Suddenly, a hand burst from the shadow and grabbed Teliae's leg, knocking him over. Pha'ubo emerged from the shadow and jumped away."You think two steps ahead, but I think three!"Pha'ubo now launched his counter attack, viciously slashing at Teliae with remarkable speed. Freeshooter
OOC: He was responding to himself; he realized he had gone a bit animalistic, so he apologized. IC: Teliae barely blocked the attack with the Diamonds in his gloves, retaliating quickly with a strong hit. "I said no magic! This is a fight of honor, not trickery!" Teliae yelled at Pha'ubo. "Unless, you have lied in your promise." He shot at Pha'ubo coyly. He then noticed an ominous. smoke rising from Kakariko Village.
Hydra of Ages
Sohre chuckled a little bit at the fight. Expecting a Dark Mystic to fight without magic, how ridiculous. That was like expecting a swordsman to fight without stabbing or slashing, or telling Kargarok to fight without flying. He smirked a little; he enjoyed watching Pha'ubo fight. He had no particular love for the Dark Mystic, but had to admit that he had a certain amount of flair. Truthfully, his magic was laughable compared to Sohre's own; Understandable, as Sohre had been a powerful mage even prior to becoming a Mystic; but still not neglectable. Otaku-sama
Pha'ubo did not react to his opponent's statement and continued his assault. He knew that he was not using magic, he was only harnessing it as he did not lose any of his mana. After another series of forward slashes, he jumped back and melded into shadow. The shadowy spot where he used to be slithered around like a snake and seemed to slither around Teliae.
Hydra of Ages
Velen twisted the reigns of Bushi slightly. The Kargarok cawed out a little in dissatisfaction, but relented anyway; despite his good training, the Kargarok could still be a little rowdy at times. Velen's practised eyes scanned the cliff-face. He was south, very far south. More south than anyone else in Hyrule would regularly go; Down here, there was nothing but common, sparse wood and useless rocks, too far out of the way and too uninteresting to be of use to anyone. And yet, just now, he thought he had spied something carved into the unnamed cliff-face. He got a little closer, and gasped when he noticed the mountain release its secret. There was a bowl carved into one of the mountains; a large dish, hidden from view unless you approached by the exact right angle. And kept in this bowl were many, many huge statue heads, like ancient guardians. The architecture looked priceless, but they all seemed to weight several tons, from what he could make out. He doubted even a Goron could lift one.
Freeshooter
OOC: I apologize for not posting, I was grounded. Oh, and I do not think of this as necro-bumping. IC: Teliae did a back-flip onto Din, his canine companion. "I apologize, but for now, I cannot risk my life. There is no rule within the ancient texts of Goron old that states that the battle may not be postponed. Good bye for now, Pha'ubo." He said, running up next to Sohre, punching the Sage in the gut and holding him over his shoulder. "Sohre, let's go. I can't outrun Pha'ubo, so I request you to take me back magically." Teliae looked back to the shadow that is Pha'ubo; "Injure this wolf, and you WILL die." He said, glaring at the shadow. OOC: Please Otaku, let's not have this serious of a fight, this early in the Roleplay.
Otaku-sama
OoC: Aw...It was getting fun...IC: Pha'ubo put down his spade. "Backing out of your own challenge. Pathetic. You are not worthy to bring back the Sage to the Dark Lord! You call yourself honourbound, yet you run like a coward!" Pha'ubo protested. He then faced Sohre. "Sohre, do not bring the Sage back with him. If you bring him, I will not give you the magic drum I promised."
Freeshooter
OOC: I know, but for now, Pha'ubo is significantly stronger than Teliae. I mean, I intend Teliae to gain magical power; whether it shall be Kokiri magic, or Dark Mystic magic, well, we will just have to wait and find out. After which, have Pha'ubo find him, and we will finish this. Teliae sighed, "Cowardice is shown when one runs from a fight, not postpones it. Also, I believe it was you, who challenged me, Mystic. Quote: 'Draw your weapon and prepare to fight for your honor!'" Teliae imitated. "Oh, and one other thing. Never, call a Goron, or one raised by a Goron, cowardly, or non-honourbound." He said angrily, but with a normal face. "Now, I have no wish to fight, or kill, you Pha'ubo. I apologize for anything that I may have done to offend or anger you." Teliae bowed, once again mounting his wolf.
Hydra of Ages
Sohre frowned at Pha'ubo. "Aww. That's no fair, Pha, that thing was allegedly made by the Majora tribe. I GOTS to have it." he sulked a little, then brightened up immediately. "In any ways, I don't see such a huge issue here. Ganondorf has known about THIS particular sage for ages." He gave a foxlike smile, and turned on Teliae. "You obviously wouldn't know this, but not all sages are made the same." he smiled a little. "There are a total of 9 different types of sages that have existed across Hyrule. The first six of these- the Sages of Water, Forest, Fire, Spirit, Shadow and Light - are imbued by the Gods to hold sway over the gateway to the Sacred Realm. That was all very mystical and important, when the Sacred Realm WASN'T a barren wasteland of a hellhole." he smiled briefly. "The other three include the Sage of the Time, which used to be the ruling Hyrulean Monarch. The Sage of Time guarded the Light Arrows and channeled the powers of the other sages, not to mention also controlled the powers of the mystical Artifact, the Ocarina of Time." He smiled a little. "A long time ago, when they were paranoid about our Dark Lord's return, they decided to put a failsafe in place to make sure the Blade of Evil's Bane couldn't be destroyed. The power of the Ocarina, and by extension the power of the Sage, was attuned to the Sacred Realm, and could be used to provide a constant stream of protecting power, offering the sword the constant protection of the Gods. However, this came at a certain price... the Sage who did this, had to pray regularly and near-constantly. Obviously, the Hylian Monarchs had better uses for their time, so they did something they hoped would help defend the sword- they destroyed the Ocarina-" -Sohre paused, biting his tongue, seemingly disliking this sentence- "...and infused its energy into two completely different instruments, the specifics of which I do not know, unfortunately. Of course, these two instruments imprinted upon two different people, who each received a portion of the Sage's power, thus turning them into something that resembles a sage themselves. These two have been called the Sages of Earth and Wind respectively. Follow me?" He grinned a little. "As part of the power, these sages are immortal and live in a self-imposed exile in deeply hidden Temples at either ends of Hyrule. These are the two sages who have vexed Ganondorf- and while this Kokiri is indeed a sage..." He glanced at the frightened boy in green- "He is certainly not the type of sage we are looking for." Freeshooter
"I see." Teliae said, sighing. "Well then, Sohre, if you do not mind, would you mind transporting me back to Death Mountain? Please tell Lord Ganondorf I apologize for this... inconvenience. I will now check the second area that I was hinted as to the location of a sage that you would be interested in. But, take this one back anyway, please. I would like to please his majesty in any way possible." He yawned, cracking his knuckles and stretching. Hydra of Ages
Sohre chuckled a little darkly. "You seem oddly dedicated to the our Lord for one born of three Hyrulean species. It seems rather odd... All things considered." Sohre gave a slight giggle. "Us Dark Mystics have reason to fear and exalt him; after all, he did spring us from our twilit cages. But exactly what did he do for YOU to get such a level of devotion?"
Freeshooter
"Nothing. I guess my devotion is for two things; number one: Just to appease him, make sure he's happy. I guess it would be a very bad thing if he was mad. Number two: To hopefully ensure the Gorons safety. That is all I ask in return of doing this. I mean, there's nothing I can do about what he has already done, except try to make sure it doesn't happen to my own people and eventually, try to rebuild what damage has been done. Except to the Kokiri... He might murder me for that." Teliae told the words as if they were a motto, he lived his life by. Which, for now, it was. Except for the last part, which he said, laughing a bit.
