what i think is:

Icyblue's warning=unnecesary

ragnarok1945 leaving RC=tragic

ragnarok didn't spam

but mods feel that yes because he has a lot of posts

tell me:

is necessary a 50% permanent warning just because he has more than 20' date='000 posts?

[/quote']

You obviously didn't read the last three pages.

yeah i read them right now

PS:this might be a risk for me but, i think that all those that think bad about Ragnarok1945 are only jealous (including Icyblue)

No Icy isn't jealous.

It has nothing to do with jealousy but rather weither or not the punishment was right

If I had an irresistable desire to be one of the biggest idiots on the forum and not get banned, then I would be jealous. I think bad of him because he spams at an alarmingly fast rate, makes posts that really aren't that helpful when you think about it, has terrible grammar, and is the top poster with over 25,000 posts that he's made in less than a year.

This thread makes me lol. With its 4 pages of off topic posts.

Not really. This thread has more or less become an anti-Ragnarok thread' date=' and it was originally intended to be a small-scale version of that. This topic hasn't gone off-topic so much as expanded.

[/quote']

Actually, the original topic was OR's card. Since, you know, this is CC.

Guest JoshIcy

Josh [icy] = Icyblue

Sander = Xander Royce

Darth Browarod = Himself

Forgotten = Ragnarok1945

[spoiler=MSN Convo with Rag]

Josh [icy] says (11:20 AM):

Sander can interpret my meanings without the overflood of emotions

Forgotten says (11:20 AM):

who is this Sander?

Josh [icy] says (11:20 AM):

Xander Royce

Sander says (11:20 AM):

Xander on YCM

Josh [icy] says (11:21 AM):

Me and him are great friends

~Darth Browarod the Glyphmaster~ says (11:21 AM):

what's above great? that's what I am

Josh [icy] says (11:21 AM):

And we understand each other. He'll be here as my safeguard for when I get too emotional.

~Darth Browarod the Glyphmaster~ says (11:21 AM):

and I'm here in general

Josh [icy] says (11:22 AM):

Lol. You're the host

~Darth Browarod the Glyphmaster~ says (11:22 AM):

indeed

so' date=' shall we get started with the matter at hand?

Forgotten says (11:22 AM):

sure

Sander says (11:22 AM):

Just ban Rag and get over with it.

That's my 2 cents :/

Josh [icy'] says (11:22 AM):

Shush Sander...

Sander says (11:22 AM):

Fine.

Josh [icy] says (11:22 AM):

Be my interpreter xD

~Darth Browarod the Glyphmaster~ says (11:22 AM):

Let's keep this civil

Josh [icy] says (11:22 AM):

And then you can give your 2cents as it comes

Forgotten says (11:23 AM):

you know, I had a feeling that would be the opening statement

Josh [icy] says (11:23 AM):

We have no control over what Sander says on spontaneity do we?

Browarod... Start

Forgotten says (11:23 AM):

roxas just said the same thing in that thread

~Darth Browarod the Glyphmaster~ says (11:23 AM):

Alright, alright

We are here to discuss the matter of Ragnarok's permanent 50% ban

~Darth Browarod the Glyphmaster~ says (11:24 AM):

And related information

warning*

rather

Josh [icy] says (11:24 AM):

The Permanent Factor, is as Ive said before. To show him how serious I am.

Forgotten says (11:24 AM):

it is also to show you had no intention of EVER removing it

~Darth Browarod the Glyphmaster~ says (11:24 AM):

If this is not the case, Icy, please clarify

Josh [icy] says (11:25 AM):

I have stated in the "discussion thread" that I do plan to revoke it sometime in the future.

~Darth Browarod the Glyphmaster~ says (11:25 AM):

Have you made clear the specifications that must be met for said removal?

Forgotten says (11:25 AM):

pffffffffft. Plenty have used that term before. Who's to say I won't have to wait 20 years for that?

Josh [icy] says (11:25 AM):

Numerous times.

~Darth Browarod the Glyphmaster~ says (11:26 AM):

Perhaps list them again here so we are all reminded.

And can reference this in the future

Josh [icy] says (11:27 AM):

Patience is the key factor. Then, because of his nature towards me (which is only fair imo) he must post with patient like restraint (not his 100posts an hour kind of thing) during this time.

Forgotten says (11:28 AM):

need I remind me while you showed the link of no flooding, nothing was ever written IN DETAIL what is interpreted as flooding as what is not?

Josh [icy] says (11:28 AM):

And yes Sander...

You can interpret that now

Sander says (11:28 AM):

Meh.

Josh [icy] says (11:28 AM):

Or add your 2cents

Whichever you'd rather

Sander says (11:28 AM):

I'm reading the convo atm :/

I had another convo on when this was taking on

So..yeah.

Forgotten says (11:28 AM):

watch Darth, he's going to say "Someone just ban this guy perm and end this quickly."

~Darth Browarod the Glyphmaster~ says (11:29 AM):

Don't be so quick to judge

Sander says (11:29 AM):

Forgotten, have you even seen Rag's post?

Josh [icy] says (11:29 AM):

Forgotten IS Rag

Sander says (11:29 AM):

He floods up the section in the matter on minutes.

Forgotten says (11:29 AM):

usually I'm not, but I also know people like to take the easy way out Darth

Sander says (11:29 AM):

Oh

Well

This is awkward.

Sander says (11:30 AM):

Thanks for not telling me Icy <_<

~Darth Browarod the Glyphmaster~ says (11:30 AM):

Apologies, I thought you knew

Josh [icy] says (11:30 AM):

I thought you knew <_<

Forgotten says (11:30 AM):

You never told him this Icy?

~Darth Browarod the Glyphmaster~ says (11:30 AM):

Well, belated introductions then

Josh [icy] says (11:30 AM):

I thought that was the assumption >

~Darth Browarod the Glyphmaster~ says (11:30 AM):

Never assume

Josh [icy] says (11:30 AM):

And Succubus Queen wants in.

Forgotten says (11:30 AM):

*facepalms*

~Darth Browarod the Glyphmaster~ says (11:30 AM):

Tt gets you into messes like this one

Forgotten says (11:30 AM):

ok, let her

~Darth Browarod the Glyphmaster~ says (11:30 AM):

It*

Sexy lil' thing has been added to the conversation.

Josh [icy] says (11:31 AM):

~Darth Browarod the Glyphmaster~ says (11:26 AM):

Perhaps list them again here so we are all reminded.

And can reference this in the future

Josh [icy] says (11:27 AM):

Patience is the key factor. Then, because of his nature towards me (which is only fair imo) he must post with patient like restraint (not his 100posts an hour kind of thing) during this time.

Thats the part of the convo where we're at

~Darth Browarod the Glyphmaster~ says (11:31 AM):

No more persons may enter, if I may stipulate. I don't want this to descend into chaos.

Forgotten says (11:31 AM):

of course

Josh [icy] says (11:31 AM):

Sander = Xander.

Josh Icy = Icyblue

Forgotten = Ragnarok

Darth Browarod = Darth Browarod

Sexy lil' thing says (11:31 AM):

As you say

Josh [icy] says (11:31 AM):

Make with the happy

Forgotten says (11:32 AM):

Darth is the only one who doesn't need claritifcations

~Darth Browarod the Glyphmaster~ says (11:32 AM):

Indubitably

Josh [icy] says (11:32 AM):

Kay

~Darth Browarod the Glyphmaster~ says (11:32 AM):

Now, back to the matter at hand

Ragnarok has challenged that a definition of "flooding" has not been provided.

Forgotten says (11:33 AM):

Icy, look at it this way

Josh [icy] says (11:33 AM):

He frequent makes a post style of flooding. With posts merely seconds apart. Which in effective, floods the board with his posts.

Forgotten says (11:33 AM):

I knew all along flooding was against the rules, I DID read that part. However, Hunter and J-Max (the other two CC mods) never warned me about it, never even TOLD me I was going too fast.

Forgotten says (11:34 AM):

Which brings up a simple Q: what is YOUR definition of flooding, and what is THEIRS?

~Darth Browarod the Glyphmaster~ says (11:34 AM):

May I say:

it only takes 1 moderator to point out a rule breakage.

It is not a fair point to say that the inaction of other mods approves ones actions.

Forgotten says (11:35 AM):

well then perhaps you can ask the other two

~Darth Browarod the Glyphmaster~ says (11:35 AM):

However, the question remains: Is there a collective definition that all moderators in the given section can agree on to flooding?

Sander says (11:35 AM):

Rag, don't try to drag J-Max and Hunter into this mess..seriously.

Forgotten says (11:35 AM):

*points to what Darth said*

Josh [icy] says (11:35 AM):

No there isn't. As we often do things on a case-by-case basis. From bans to warns.

Josh [icy] says (11:36 AM):

There is one thing that YCM mods do expand to each other though. And that's Rules.

Josh [icy] says (11:37 AM):

And stickies (lol obvious)

~Darth Browarod the Glyphmaster~ says (11:37 AM):

This is a fair explanation. However, in this case, there has been a dispute as to your specific definition of flooding, so I believe it couldn't hurt to re-evaluate what "flooding" really is.

Josh [icy] says (11:37 AM):

Everything else is done at the mods discretion.

Sander says (11:37 AM):

Quality over quantity. That's basically what needs to be said.

Josh [icy] says (11:37 AM):

And we have a very unique quality.

Josh [icy] says (11:38 AM):

Now to Browarods point.

My definition of flooding (not spam), is when a person posts something or a lot repeatedly with little to no break.

Outside of a thread that requires his SPECIFIC attention

~Darth Browarod the Glyphmaster~ says (11:39 AM):

Might I suggest something to try, Ragnarok?

Forgotten says (11:39 AM):

is it something like keep the posts to at least two lines?

Josh [icy] says (11:39 AM):

No.

Josh [icy] says (11:40 AM):

It means have an intermission. ie: Patience. When you post.

~Darth Browarod the Glyphmaster~ says (11:40 AM):

I don't know if you use tabs in your browser or not, but if you do perhaps refrain from using them? Visit a section, click a thread you find interesting. Post on it if you want to (with a quality post), then click back to the section.

This allows for more time to each thread you visit, and spaces out your posting more.

Forgotten says (11:40 AM):

Darth, while I do use tabs in FF, I only have ONE tab placed on YCM

~Darth Browarod the Glyphmaster~ says (11:41 AM):

Alright.

Forgotten says (11:41 AM):

I never have two browers on YCM at the same time, unless it's to try to respond to too many PMs

which is also very rare

~Darth Browarod the Glyphmaster~ says (11:41 AM):

Perhaps limit yourself to 5 responses, then a break, then 5 more responses, then another break?

~Darth Browarod the Glyphmaster~ says (11:42 AM):

What you do during your breaks (other than not post) is up to you.

Perhaps reply to PM's during those breaks?

Forgotten says (11:42 AM):

define how long of a break you are referring to please

or perhaps I should explain how my postings work first?

Josh [icy] says (11:42 AM):

Minutes, or waiting until a thread gets bumped somehow...

~Darth Browarod the Glyphmaster~ says (11:42 AM):

That might help.

Josh [icy] says (11:43 AM):

Sander.

Sander says (11:43 AM):

Hm?

Josh [icy] says (11:43 AM):

This is your turn.

Forgotten says (11:43 AM):

ok then, here is how mine works

Sander says (11:44 AM):

Just try to keep your posts in the section to a minimum, 10 posts in the section a day seems decent enough.

Forgotten says (11:44 AM):

As you know, upon waking up in the mornings the RC section will have like about 40 to 55 new threads that I had either not posted on or someone else has said something after me. I'm sure you can all agreed with that part

~Darth Browarod the Glyphmaster~ says (11:44 AM):

Not entirely.

Forgotten says (11:44 AM):

on the weekends of course this will probably go up to the 70ish thread point

~Darth Browarod the Glyphmaster~ says (11:44 AM):

HOld for a moment.

Hold*

Forgotten says (11:44 AM):

ok

~Darth Browarod the Glyphmaster~ says (11:45 AM):

I see no reason to post again on a thread you've posted on before unless either 1: the thread creator responded to your comment in a way suggesting they want you to post again. OR 2: the thread creator edits their post or in some other way asks for new help or different help than what you posted on the first time.

~Darth Browarod the Glyphmaster~ says (11:46 AM):

You say: "I like these cards.......9/10" they say "Thanks!" you don't need to say anything after that.

Forgotten says (11:46 AM):

that's usually the case for me posting once, I wasn't finished with what I was saying

Josh [icy] says (11:46 AM):

I think he means, that he posts in every new thread.

Forgotten says (11:46 AM):

Icy, Darth, can you let me finish?

~Darth Browarod the Glyphmaster~ says (11:46 AM):

Ah, ok. My apologies. Please continue.

Forgotten says (11:47 AM):

ok, now normally you're right, I only post once per thread. However, if the thread creator suddenly announces he/she posts ANOTHER card in that same thread, you'd agree it's ok for me to post again?

~Darth Browarod the Glyphmaster~ says (11:47 AM):

That would fit #2 of my scenario, yes.

Josh [icy] says (11:47 AM):

Obviously. Most people are expected of that (assuming they like the set).

Forgotten says (11:48 AM):

ok, now, here is the case I'm referring to

Upon the mornings when I see there's about 40-60ish threads where I am no longer the last poster, that's where I begin checking (and I said checking, not posting)

Sander says (11:48 AM):

Do you really need to check all the threads?

Forgotten says (11:49 AM):

yes, because who knows if they've been updated or not?

Sander says (11:49 AM):

I usually don't go past the first page.

Forgotten says (11:49 AM):

now, as I was saying

Josh [icy] says (11:49 AM):

Better yet... Do you really have to have such speed, to the point where the only last posts on the board is yours?

Forgotten says (11:49 AM):

Icy, let me finish, geez

~Darth Browarod the Glyphmaster~ says (11:49 AM):

I have to leave soon, so less interrupting please.

Forgotten says (11:50 AM):

see when I go to sleep, I check to make sure there's no updates to any thread so I won't have to post again

when I wake up, I check the threads to see what has been said since that time

of the 40 to 60 threads I check, half of them contain nothing more than mere comments by others who reviewed the same as I did, and therefore I do not post in there

Forgotten says (11:51 AM):

the other half tends to contain updated material (or sometimes they announce it's updated and I post to ask which cards he/she updated because I can't find it)

THOSE are the ones I post on, it's actually much less than you think Icy

half the time of what you see are in reality just me CHECKING the threads, not me POSTING in them

Sander says (11:51 AM):

Bull.

Forgotten says (11:52 AM):

now, this happens in the morning. A few hours later (like say 3 to 5 hours) I return to check again and the cycle repeats itself. I do this maybe about 3 to 5 times per weekday, and at most 6 times on the weekend

~Darth Browarod the Glyphmaster~ says (11:52 AM):

Your 10,000 posts in less than a year seem to contradict your statement of viewing not posting.

Forgotten says (11:53 AM):

*shrugs* So I'm a fast typer like SQ

Sander says (11:53 AM):

I've seen you post in threads like, in the matter of minutes, over 8 threads or even more, and it's the same, repeatitive context.

Forgotten says (11:53 AM):

and how often do you look for it, Sander

Sexy lil' thing says (11:53 AM):

Ragnarok, did you bring me into it again?

Oh wait

Nvm

Sexy lil' thing says (11:54 AM):

[/dies again]

woops

[dies again]*

~Darth Browarod the Glyphmaster~ says (11:54 AM):

Anyway...

Sander says (11:54 AM):

I don't look for it, I said that I've "seen" you do that. And I'm pretty sure other people have seen you doing that too.

~Darth Browarod the Glyphmaster~ says (11:54 AM):

I think the point of Xander's statement is not necessarily how it's seen, but that they seem to be very repetetive.

Forgotten says (11:55 AM):

Now Darth, your recommendation is acceptable. But I have to ask, how long of a break are we talking here?

Josh [icy] says (11:55 AM):

feel it out

watch the natural course/speed

And work with it

Forgotten says (11:55 AM):

Icy, as an engineering major I go by SPECIFIC numbers, not gut instinct

~Darth Browarod the Glyphmaster~ says (11:55 AM):

Try a few minutes (say 3 or 4). If you still post a lot, extend it.

Josh [icy] says (11:56 AM):

This is one where gut is more helpful than crunching numbers.

~Darth Browarod the Glyphmaster~ says (11:56 AM):

Add or subtract 1 or 2 minutes if you feel it's not wuite right.

Forgotten says (11:56 AM):

Sorry Icy, but I usually don't go by my gut that way

~Darth Browarod the Glyphmaster~ says (11:56 AM):

And Icy always goes by his gut, which is where you two differ

Josh [icy] says (11:56 AM):

And being a student of the Fine Arts, I've learned that my guy and instinct for things is often more correct.

Forgotten says (11:56 AM):

*rolls eyes* That's why all Fine Art professors say

*what

~Darth Browarod the Glyphmaster~ says (11:56 AM):

2 sides of the same coin called humanity, gentlemen.

Josh [icy] says (11:56 AM):

I do mix in logic and specifics (since I know my Media arts etc).

Forgotten says (11:57 AM):

look Darth the point is this

in before what I do is I go through the threads I did not last look at quickly because of another reason

Forgotten says (11:58 AM):

I do not have that kind of a window at times between classes. Now, yes I admit there are numerous times I shouldn't have done that

however, at the same time I don't want to wait from morning all the way until 11PMish when I finally get back home and go through a whole day

~Darth Browarod the Glyphmaster~ says (11:59 AM):

Rather than changing the time, perhaps you could vary the verbage you use?

Josh [icy] says (11:59 AM):

Time is my issue

Forgotten says (11:59 AM):

you mean changing the words of what I say in there.

~Darth Browarod the Glyphmaster~ says (11:59 AM):

Xander mentioned the repetitiveness of your posts.

Sander says (11:59 AM):

Rag, you don't need to go through the whole day.

Forgotten says (12:00 PM):

tell me something Icy

if I said between time and repetition, which would you prefer I rid first?

Josh [icy] says (12:00 PM):

Time

Repetition helps newbies. And Ive thanked you many times for that.

Forgotten says (12:01 PM):

*checks thumbdrive* Very well. Darth, I have an idea

I'll simply bring a few MP3 songs on there. Every 5 or 6 posts in RC, I'll listen to a 3 min song in there, and THEN proceed

~Darth Browarod the Glyphmaster~ says (12:02 PM):

Sounds like a good way to start.

Is this aceptable to you Icy?

Josh [icy] says (12:02 PM):

I suppose

Josh [icy] says (12:03 PM):

But as stated before

His warning will remain

~Darth Browarod the Glyphmaster~ says (12:03 PM):

He can work from there on increasing the time.

Forgotten says (12:03 PM):

fine, Icy. But I will NOT wait 20 years for you to remove it

Assuming YCM lasts that long

~Darth Browarod the Glyphmaster~ says (12:03 PM):

You won't have to.

Josh [icy] says (12:03 PM):

Nor will it be 20yrs

~Darth Browarod the Glyphmaster~ says (12:03 PM):

Alright.

It seems we've reached some progress today, and I must be leaving now, so I declare this meeting adjourned.

Forgotten says (12:03 PM):

Then it is settled. Icy, you can go back to that thread and say an agreement has been worked out, and I will return to RC soon

~Darth Browarod the Glyphmaster~ says (12:04 PM):

Thank you all for your time.

believe it or not

with that explanation i'm sure you're jealous

Except I'm not. Everything I stated about Ragnarok is actually bad' date=' and nothing to be either proud or jealous of. Well, maybe having 25,000 posts and being the top poster, but the conditions upon which he reached those cancel out how great of an achievemnt it is.

=O. another big shot. might want to watch your mouth before Flam war starts

It's already going on.

*Points to the topic title*

this isn't flame -_-

i just know he's jealous

i'm just not an adulator that says

Yes Icyblue

Yes Phantom Roxas

i do respect them but i'm not scared of a banning just because i post my opinion

You think you know that I'm jealous? At this rate I think you're a double account of Ragnarok. People aren't just agreeing with Icy or myself but also supplying statements of their own. Your opinion isn't banworthy, btw, but at least come up with a legitimate argument.

Darth Browarod = Himself

Forgotten = Ragnarok1945

[spoiler=MSN Convo with Rag]

Sander = Xander.

Josh Icy = Icyblue

Forgotten = Ragnarok

Thank you all for your time.

i seriously loled. "I never knew forgotten was Rag <_<"
