Oh its been so long since i've seen that movie! good memory shadow.

So even though we need some more opinions, we can at least get started on some more discussions.

Not yet discussed: my change on (my card) Lucky Charm Ritual.

Lucky Charm Ritual

Ritual Spell Card

Changed: Select 1 Ritual Monster in your hand. This card remains on the field face-up. At the start of your opponent's next battle phase, Ritual summon the Ritual monster in your hand. If you cannot, send the ritual monster to the graveyard.

*the "this card remains on the field face-up" wasnt supposed to be there, so changed from my above post.

Things we need to discuss ASAP:

- My changes on Lucky Charm Ritual

- Corpse Shield (look over the posts on this page)

- Lazy Typhoon (page 2)

- Dividing up card re-wordings which we don't really need to get into too much detail about.

- Any objections as to the following changes:

*Summon Sensor now requires a cost of discarding 1 card

*Variable Storm now Limited

* Gravity Wind and Judgement bolt have higher LP costs (still undecided)

*Magnetic Storm now requires the cost of destroying all your s/t cards first.

* Field of Sadness only decreases ATK by 600 instead of 1000.

* Soldier's Recruiting requires a cost of discarding 1 Warrior-type monster first.

* Scorching Demon inflicts FULL ATK damage and allows a player to target a monster from any graveyard for it's effect

* Bati the Fat Guy checks if a player has no S/T cards during their end phase, if true the battle phase of their next turn is skipped

* Ravager Beetle's Effect only requires an ATK decrease of 300.

* Life Stealing Magician can use it's effect more than once per turn, it lasts until your opponent's next end phase and there is no cost at your end phase.

* Moss Giant does NOT lose ATK equal to the DEF of it's fusion material monsters.

* Wicked Doll Maker's Tokens may be tributed for a Tribute Summon.

*Endless Winter effect changed:

During each Standby Phase both players distribute up to 1 Ice Counter on an Attack-Position Monster on the field. Once per turn, a player can pay 500 Life Points to switch 1 monster they control with Ice Counters into Face-Up Defense Position (ignoring the Ice Counter Effect). If monster have number of Ice Counters equal to or more then their Level, it is destroyed. ( Monsters with Ice Counters cannot declare an attack or change their Battle Position. During each End Phase turn Player removes 1 Ice Counter from the field.)

Also for gentlemen's duel I'm thinking of a new more balanced effect that also fits the name of the card:

Gentlemen's Duel

Continuous Spell Card

A Monster cannot select a monster with a level lower than it as an Attack Target (if all opponent's monsters are a lower level than that monster, it may attack your opponent directly.)

^That should be discussed too.

And New CCG members - Don't be shy, we want to hear your opinions on this too.

We've already balanced the sets 0 and I think 1 really. There's a forbidden and limited list for a reason, there's no need to tone down slightly powerful cards that are on that list. The main one I see is that I do not think Summon Sensor needs a discard.

Has the ban list as shown on createdcardgame.com even been updated as all since my last departure?

Karl we've spent about a month discussing changes on cards, we all agree that some are underpowered and some are overpowered. If you want to try and argue against these changes you will have to be more specific and back up your claims. Sorry if that sounds rude, but to cancel these changes would mean 3 pages of work would be in vain.

And all of my changes were to make underpowered cards more powerful. As for summon sensor, you will have to talk to griffin on that he proposed the discard cost.

And the ban list has not been updated as far as I know, so that might change at the end of set 2.

I'll look at each change when I have time. Summon Sensor as is is an interesting card that can come back on you, and isn't even semi-limit-worthy in its current form. With a discard cost, it wouldn't be worth running. At the most, I could see a 500 Life Point cost. As for the others, I'll comment on them later.

Also, I think we should be playtesting these before we make changes, but I guess no one duels anymore, since the IRC is usually empty except the usual idlers. Keep in mind that the ban list and some of the original balance issues were made by people who actually played the game. I'd be more than happy to help when I'm not working, but I'd need some other people to as well.
