The tune-with-hand thing already makes Synchro Summoning infinitely easier by removing the need for swarm and making things like Thunder Dragon awesome material, but then you go even further and have each come with some sort of +1 effect on top of that. The first, Mechanical Cerberus, is the worst of them all; his effect can Special Summon himself from the Graveyard, so he essentially turns every single monster in your hand into a Synchro Monster three levels higher, and then still leaves you with another monster on top of that. Exactly this. Not to mention that it also removes any need for non-tuners. The whole set screams overpowered and needs serious re-thinking. In fact, it's just another advantage, since it allows the monsters to benefit from all sorts of cards like Limit Reverse. I'm assuming that the stats are what you were referring to when you mentioned "disadvantages", since there's nothing else about these cards that could in any way be seen as anything less than godly.
