Well' date=' we don't really know why he's asking the question. For all we know it's so that he could avoid looking unoriginal in the Custom Cards section.

Only if you completely ignore the content of his post. <_<

Just make a deck of all the same attrib.

Did you actually encourage him to make a bad deck?

Did you actually consider Lightsworn, Hopeless Dragon, TeleDark and Blackwings "bad decks"?

Heck, to be even less specific, did you actually consider a deck type that had working synergy with it's own cards and wasn't just a cluster**** and random pile of cards to be "bad"?

That's great, his hopeless deck, to have a hopeless dragon. That's great... _rolleyes__by_Asmodiel.gif

I was gonna insult you, by saying that since the game was 10 years old, that meant you were just an stupid 11 year old, but after I clicked on your profile and saw that you WERE 11, I feel the joke would be unjustified, so I wrote this post instead.

I thought you were refering to a deck like this: http://forum.yugiohcardmaker.net/thread-156626.html

Um, not really? =/

Except you'd either have to be taking English as a second language or have barely skimmed his post to not have arrived at the conclusion that he was looking for a card for his deck.

And before you turn this into a big 'no u' contest, I'd like to point out that statements such as 'I'm looking for an alternative to [Card's Name]' and 'or am I wasting my time' greatly seem to imply that he is hopeful that the card exists, so that he may add it to his deck, not that he is hopeful the card does not exist, so he can appear original, especially as he's already seemed to acknowledge similar cards, such as 'DNA Transplant'

Why the bugger would I possibly be referring to something like that?

"For all we know" can be used for anything that's possible, no matter how unlikely. In fact, it's often used for the unlikely for satirical purposes. For example, if I were to say "For all we know, he's actually never played the game and just posted the thread for kicks after seeing a copy of "DNA Transplant", and this thread is perfectly reasonable", it'd still have been perfectly legit. Maybe a better example would be something unrelated, like if some guy were to post "Do you have many orange-haired acquaintances" and some other person posted "This topic is stupid", it's perfectly legit for the next guy to post "Hey guys, for all we know he's hunting down Rick Astley to prevent the upcoming apocalypse".

No rocket science that to go to such lengths to not look original for such a simple, obvious effect isn't done, or at least wouldn't make much sense were it to be done.

Arguing semantics is a sure fire sign that you've ran out of things to say and concede your argument.

Where do these arbitrary argument laws come from? >_>

So I could just read the above as "HAHAHAHAHAHAHA DICK DICK DICK HAHAHAHAHA", and if you make any objections you'd have "ran out of things to say and concede your argument?"

That's retarded.

I'm saying when you have to change the initial terms of what you're arguing, it's a surefire sign that you've already lost the initial argument. If you feel like arguing with someone about semantics, kindly do it on your own time.
