J-Max
The last few days I did a little experiment by joining up with 2 of YCM's popular Clubs and relized a harsh reality. The Clubs section is even more of a Spamming hellhole. Most replies are no more then 3~5 words long with Quote Pyramids everywhere. We need more order. ihop
I try not to, but loads of other people do... It's a shame.
Hunter.
same here. a lot of people do that. a lot of people use this forum every day, and around 3/4 of us spam the place out.
J-Max
Sure that Post Count means nothing but I want at least see civilized posts
.Requiem
Well in my opinion the CC section even worse of a spam whole then clubs & Organization section.
J-Max
That's why we set up complex rules to help fight it.
.Requiem
But the rules aren't really working, if one or two threads are locked there is going to be a lot more spam.
Hunter.
if we make an advanced clause for clubs and orgs, like must have more than 2 words in each sentence, this forum could get better.
Milk-Chan
2 words is nothing. I'm not on that section regularly, but I do see alot of spam there. There should be rules stating a certain amount of word minimum there, and IMO, the entire site.
CinnamonStar
No, we need to get the mods to care more about that section. There is/was a "no spamming" and "minimum words" rule but they need to be enforced and clubs need to be watched. No more General mods, we have enough and both are doing it well but they need to divide up the work. One takes Main General/Polls/Games, the other one General/Clubs/Intros or something like that.Maybe bring the club warning system back. For excessive spamming and flaming. And the rest of us can just report or PM General mods about clubs no?If we bring to their attention that some clubs are just filled with spam they will do something about it. And:The last few days I did a little experiment by posting in 2 threads in CC/RP/Showcase/whatever and realized a harsh reality. YCM is even more of a Spamming hellhole. There are threads with no more than 3~5 words long with Quote Pyramids everywhere. Spam on my YCM?O_o Yeah you see what I mean.=/
Legend Zero
As a club leader I try to stop anything of that orgin in my club, but sometimes it happens when I'm not on and theres nothing that can really be done about it. Maybe if the warnings system that is in place (or was in place) was enforced it could straighten things up.
NeoDemonX
we need a rule that you have to do one line or more to post
Brushfire
I've already spoke with Hunter about this a while back, he said, "Yeah, I agree but the harsh truth is no Mod is willing to try and clean up that place. Even if I tried, cleaning up that section by myself is way too much work".
Lemniscate
That section does need some dedicated people.I used to love that section, but then the spamming want out of control, the moderating ceased, and it became what it is today.I tried to help with that when Scratchworks was active, keeping the posts of a high quality to set an example for the rest of the site, but there is only so much a regular member can do. Flash Flyer - Sakura
I think the club section is okay, but it's just the other parts of General that are a bit of a problem. Although we have Icy and Darth handling stuff in General, I do agree that we need a mod that can handle that section since Frunk is gone
Lemniscate
Hunter, Flame Dragon, Icy, and Darth all mod General at the moment. The main section is run fairly well, about on par with the rest of the site.Clubs and Organizations though seems to be avoided by the mods, due to the sheer amount of work. It shows that the section should have a mod who is specifically appointed to run that section, and only that section. Someone who can devote their full time and resources to cleaning things up, setting up new and stronger rules, and keeping the forum strong. Even with good moderation. THAT's a place where I would say it's full of 3~5 words posts with quote pyramids.=/ And what's Scratchworks?  I think the club section is okay' date=' but it's just the other parts of General that are a bit of a problem. Although we have Icy and Darth handling stuff in General, I do agree that we need a mod that can handle that section since Frunk is gone.[/quote'] We have Hunter and Flame Dragon but like I said a possibility would be to let them divide up the work more. Monkey
I agree that Clubs is very disorganized right now, I do support the fact that we need somebody to help clean it up. Since I am one of the leaders of "The Club", I have just recently implemented posting rules for our club to avoid spamming

Huntar!
Look, I've wanted to do something for months, but what can I seriously do? It takes far too much time to monitor every single club thread for spammers. Its impossible to do anything with. I still support removing post count from Clubs, even though people might lose thousands of posts (even myself. :/)
