He remember how his parents reacted to the new and how things began to change around the house. Daniel would spend more and more time with Adam but it never seemed like enough. During Adam's last month Daniel had gotten his first deck and challenged Adam to a duel. Though the outcome was obvious Daniel still challenged Adam. [Flashback] a young 10 year old Daniel is see running around in the living room of his house with a deck box in his hand. He was smiling as he ran around, Daniel's black hair is shorter but still has it's blue highlights. He is wearing a white t-shirt with blue trim on the ends of his sleeves. He then stops running around when the front door opens, Daniel's smile grows larger as he sees his older brother, Adam Starlight age 18 at the time. Adam had long blone hair and was lighter skin-toned then his little Brother Daniel, but it didn't ever bother the little one. He knew he was adopted and he didn't care. When Adam stepped through the door Daniel jumped up and hugged him. "NIIIII-SAAAAAN!!!" He yelled as he jumped up. Adam smiled as he caught Daniel. "What is it Danny?" Daniel then looked up at Adam and continued to smile. "Ni-san! Ni-san! I got it Ni-san! I got it!" Adam laughed a little as Daniel jumped up and down with joy. "What did you get?" Adam asked. Daniel then picked up his deck box and showed it to his older brother. " I got Mister Jaden's deck rep-reep-ruplika?..." Adam smiled. "Oh you got Yuki-san's Structure deck that just came out." Daniel smiled as he shook his head. "Yep and Mom told me that when your deck copy-thing comes out that she would get it for me right away!" Adam smiled as he grabbed Daniel's new cards and looked through them. He then stopped and looked at Daniel. "Hey Danny did you add your own Stratos into this deck?" Daniel nodded. "Yep I added the one that Mister Jaden gave me when you and him first dueled!" Adam then looked at Daniel and then at his small duel disk that laid on the sofa. Daniel's eyes followed quickly. "Hey Ni-san do you want to duel me?" Daniel asked. Adam nodded softly. "Sure thing. I'll use my gadget deck and we..." "No!" Daniel interrupted. "I want to face off against your real deck. Your Starflare Awakening Deck." Adam smiled and the shook his head softly. "I can't use that against you yet Danny your just starting." Daniel then looked at the ground. "B-b-b-but... I..." Daniel tried speaking while holding back his tears. Adam then placed his hand on Daniel's head and messed up his hair. "Tell you what, I'll duel you with the Starflare the day you get the structure deck okay?" Daniel then looked up and smiled."[/flashback] "...Okay..." said Daniel under his breath. He managed to return to the hotel he was staying at. Daniel then got off his D-wheel and walked into the building after he parked it in the hotel's garage. It had been 8 years ssince his brother's death and Daniel knew exactly what he would have told him if he were still around. Don't hold back, always play with the will to win but with the heart of a True Duelist. Daniel sighed. " Maybe if I hadn't lost that duel that guy would have told me who he was looking for..." Daniel thought to himself. OOC: Well there it is, one of my almost famous "Couldn't sleep so I just started writing" post. In the outskirts, the moon was high in the air, shining in a lonely fashion upon the grass and trees. It was here that Luis now lay, relaxing against the tree. His eyes wandered amongst the stars, and in his imagination he tried to come up with a story for each one. That star had a civilization of giant talking tomatoes, while the one immediately West of it had a civilization of giant potatoes, and the two constantly waged war against each other. The star North of both of them, however, was really a giant angler fish-like creature that watched them, awaiting to ensnare them within its cosmic jaws. "Haha... so, I need a team. This'll be quite the challenge, then... I know nothing of these people and their decks. How am I supposed to team up with them?" He let out a quiet sigh as he held both decks in his hand. "Well, I guess it wouldn't be any fun if I were to team up with, say, the guys back home..." His memories wandered back to his hometown, where his friends still were. James, with his Six Samurai deck, easily the fastest duelist in the group... Then John, with his Destiny Hero deck, who could always make a comeback from out of nowhere.... Fredo, Fairy duelist, who could boost his Life Points beyond anyone's imagination...Then the younger members. Emilio, Morphtronic duelist, one of the more defensive players. Javier, in complete contrast, who used Ultimate Ancient Gear Golem to crash through anybody's defense.And then there was... Marie... "...I miss her." Marie, Luis' best friend, and Rock duelist. Luis could easily be considered the most defensive of the group, with Marie coming in a close second. They always made a great team. He needed nothing but her by his side to feel like he could conquer anything in the world. The phone rang, snapping Luis out of his day dream. In the empty air, the phone's rings met no answer, not even an echo. The air simply absorbed the sound, but not before startling Luis to roll over and turn the phone on silent. One look at the Caller ID, and Luis smirked at the irony. "Hey, Marie.""Good evening, Fuzzy! How'd it go?"That stupid nickname. Geez."Oh, you won't believe what happened..." It was very likely that this girl was the one Luis would probably start his family with. He leaned back against the tree, recounting the day's events to the girl he loved, until eventually they both slept. While dreams of the girl occupied Luis' sleeping mind, he held the mobile phone close to him, against his heart. Somewhere in the world, Marie was doing the same exact thing. He remembered what they had been told about teaming up, and decided to make a start. "So, what's your name then?" he asked. "I'm Akuma, and you are?" replied Akuma."Daijiro. Now I'll summon both my Icicle Zombie Archfiend and my Icicle Zombie Mastodon.""Now I play my Icicle Zombie Hunt.""I'll end my turn with a couple of face-downs. Your go."Impressed, Daijiro drew a card and thought about startegies he could use to beat his opponent. "First, I special summon Icicle Dragon Summoner from my hand, aloowing me to summon a couple of tokens. Now I use my Polymerization. I fuse my Icicle Eagle with my Icicle Beast Snow Leopard to summon the icicle Beast Snow Gryphon!""I use its ability to select your Mastodon. Also, I can still summon a monster, so I choose Icicle Yeti Warrior. I tune my Icicle Yeti Warrior with my Icicle Beast Snow Gryphon to Synchro Summon my Icicle Yeti Berserker!""I'll also tribute my two tokens to Special Summon Ice Master from my hand. And now, I'll attack"Akuma flipped up a trap card. "I activate Waboku!""I can still attack your Icicle Zombie Archfiend with my Icicle Yeti Berserker to destroy all your spell cards." Akuma started to laugh."You've walked right into my trap. Now, because of its effect, I get your Yeti. And it's my turn." Akuma drew. "Time to end this! IC:Kaleb looked out through the tinted window of the apartment, dazing across the night sky, following each little dot of speckled light in the sky. He thought to himself. Only thinking of his best freind who died a long time ago.[spoiler=Flashback]"Well folkes, looks like team Battleflare is on fire today.""That's right Gene, and it appears that both there signiture cards, are about to hit the field."The commentators babbled on in there suite, un-noticed by the duel that was happening below. "I summon my Inoku Starflare Paladin!" shouted a young man, with his silver duel disk connected to his right wrist. Another young man standing beside said, "and I summon Gaia, Whisperflare General!" Although this man was a few years younger, there freindship and tag dueling spirit could be heard from across the globe... OOC: You know, vague backstory bullshit. Lord JZ of the Enigma Posted September 30, 2009 Report Share Posted September 30, 2009 Josep had managed to avoid the security until closing time and there he was, e had the whole arena to himself, he could have done many things, but he chose to just sit there, from what he could feel in that room, he could sense that unlike all of those fine duelists, he had no purpose, but he didn't care, he just wanted to duel. "Guess I just don't care like they do." he said walking down the steps and into the arena, as he touched the rim of the arena he remembered his first duel, and the first duel he had ever seen, it was an incredible duel, he couldn't really tell who was who but he did remember one of the word spoken in the duel "Starflare" a powerful set, he had always wanted to be in a match against it, yet that dream died along with the duelist."but that one guy...Daniel....could he be trying to use it? if so...this is my chance." He then sighed and got up, beginning to unpack. Daniel then looked at his deck box and then out the window once more. His phone then rings. "Hello?" Daniel answered. "Come back to the Arena Mr. Starlight." said the voice. Daniel then closed his phone and left his room. "I'm coming for my brother's deck, and I'll do whatever it takes to get it back."OOC: Be Back Later, JZ will fill you in Leo-chan. Daniel then rode his D-wheel towards the arena once more. He then gets off his D-wheel and walks over to the guy. Daniel then stops in front of him and then looks around. "Where's Hartlure?" He asked. Daniel then walked towards the exit of the arena and was headed back to the meeting room. Just then Hartlure looked at his computer and sent another message to duelist named Rebella, Josep and Kaleb asking them to return to the duel arena.
