IC:

The red sky which surrounded the city turned black, causing tiny fluxuations of light sparking across the horizon. Near the fountain of Runugan, A young man sat down on the ledge, leaning towards the rushing water with a still calm, his only focus was looking towards the newly darkened night sky. He thought to himself long and hard, closing his eyes, but opening them sharply, as for some reason, he did not want to close them, he did not want to dream, or think. He then rose to his feet, placing his slender hands into his pockets, reaching in to find his deck. He placed it back into his pocket, without glancing at the cards which were contained, he then walked off, smelling the crisp, cold air as he briskfully walked home.

Runagun... The city of hopes and dreams, a city where dueling means almost everything and where most duelist begin their long fought out road to becoming the duelist they only dreamed they would become. The city lights shine brightly in the distance as a silver D-wheel with green lining speeds towards the city. The duelist riding the D-wheel has on a silver helmet with green tinted glass to help keep the rushing wind out of the duelist eyes. As he rides by other duelist can be seen turbo dueling in the duel routes. The duelist then looks up higher as he approaches the city of Runagun, he smiles softly as he drives into the city. "I finally made it... to the Crystal Cup." He then drives a bit longer and finally stops at an apartment complex and parks his D-wheel. The Duelist then removes his helmet and allows his dark black hair to fall, revealing his blue highlights. He then walks towards the "A" building and walks into the main lobby. "hello, name please?" asked the women behind the counter. He then turned to her. "Daniel Starlight."

Another young man walked up behind him, revealing his penthouse suite key to the receptionist. "Ohh yes, straight up Mr.Yuki, will reserve the resturant ASAP." said the receptionist. The man however remained silent and walked up the staircase. Once he reached the top of the stairs, he opened the door to the penthouse. The young man gazed into the mirror, looking ghostly at his face. He then slammed the door behind him. striding down the stairs again.

Rebella meanwhile was out in town, riding on her wheel. She wasn't going anywhere in particular; just out for a general drive. Her wheel tilted as she turned round a sharp corner, narrowly hitting a silver car. She held up a hand in apology, followed by a brisk nod, before she changed to fourth gear and sped up down the long straight ahead.

Daniel was then given his key. "Here you go Mr.Starlight. Top floor a penthouse suite provided by Mr. Hartlure and Company. We hope you enjoy your stay here in Runagun." Daniel then walked up to his room and opened the door. He looked at the huge room and then walked over to the table to set down his bag. "So now I just need to got to the restaurant down stairs to meet with the guy who called me here... Hartlure... " Daniel then walked out of the suite and head down to the restaurant.

This town has got an odd presence to it. Ever since I entered its boundaries, I could feel the energy coming from each and every person here. Most of them exude the aura of a fighter, someone whose passion lies within the need to play their cards against someone else. The need for their hearts to clash, the need to Duel.

My legs practically moved themselves along the streets. In my left hand, a yellow notebook open to a blank page. In my right hand, a pen ready to jot down notes about this interesting, energetic city. My glasses reflected the sunlight onto the cement of the sidewalk, creating a little sunbeam that I hoped didn't burn any ants.

I passed the window of a long-abandoned store, and Luis Solez looked back at me. My own image seemed to have been transformed by this city. I'd never seen a rendering of myself where I lookede so pumped up, ready for a game. In my pocket, I practically felt my cards screaming to be played. They were hungry for a battle, as well. Pobrecitos.

I found the hotel at which I was to stay. It wasn't exactly the fanciest thing ever built -- just a modest little place to stay at during the tournament. I checked into the room I'd reserved, emptying out my case and my bag upon the bed.

"Crap, where's my key for the storage place...?" I searched my back pocket once again and found the keys. I had to store my D-Wheel in a storage space down the street, so it wouldn't get stolen or anything. It's not as if I rode the thing a lot, anyway. I'm still practically a newbie at Riding Duels.

I let out a small sigh as the sun moved higher in the sky, shining through the window and right onto my face. My glasses were swiftly removed, and spots blurred my vision for a minute or two.

My heart beat seemed to resonate with my breathing. My body was in perfect sync, and I felt as if my deck was beating, too. I wanted a duel. I savored the duel. I live for the duel.

"How long must I wait for this Crystal Cup to begin...?"

A young woman walked through the streets, heading towards the building. Suddenly, a hooded figure jumped out brandishing a knife. Trying not to smile, she pretended to be afraid. "Come on woman, give us your purse, your bag and whilst we're at it, your fancy clothes too." The man leered unpleasantly. Smiling back, she whirled round, kicking the mugger full on in the face. Dodging the assailant's clumsy lunge, she drew out a shining stilletto and stabbed the man in the knee. The woman ignored his cries of agony and walked away, wiping her knife on the grass.

Josep had just woken up, his room was a mess, and he had no desire to clean up, he got up and simply grabbed his stuff, leaving his apartment the way it was."hmm...lets see...today's to do list." he said looking at a crumpled piece of paper in his pocket."oh right....might as well see...if I can get me a pass to that tournament."

Daniel then looked over towards the doors of the hotel as someone rushed in. Just then his phone goes off but not just his others as well. It seemed that the Sponsors of the Crystal Cup were going to hold a meeting for all duelist participating. Daniel looked at his massage and then closed his phone. The duelist would have to meet at the Runagun Turbo Dome. Daniel then walked out towards the doors and headed for his D-wheel. "I wonder what's going on?"

Daniel stopped at the entrance of the dome and then go off his D-wheel and walked into the building. Security was all over the place as they made sure no one who wasn't allowed in would try to get in. Daniel then was escorted to the meeting room were around 20 to 30 other duelist sat and waited for the meeting to begin. Daniel then takes a seat at an empty table.
