Just to name a few problems:

There are pieces missing from the render that are making the round parts straight and the render irregularly shaped

Background is just an ugly mess of colors, there isn't anything actually there

Render is taking up far too much of the sig

No lighting, depth, flow, or blending

I'm not saying you're wrong, but Venusaur is kinda new to GFXing..shouldn't you be a little more gentle and explain what he should do to prevent those errors occurring again?

Anyways...on Catman's tut, that was pretty simple and nice..also, quite a good outcome =]

Newbie or not, a mistake is a mistake. Telling someone what they did wrong let's them know what to avoid in later sigs. Being nice isn't nearly as good of a motivator as the determination to prove yourself to someone. And telling exactly how to avoid and fix every problem can lead to him not being able to come up with his own style and methods for doing things.

Even then, the few mistakes I did point out are all things that are pretty self explanatory or are simple concepts that have been defined numerous times on YCM.

no not really. got a sig though

Oh dear god

The colors in the background are just plain nasty, backgrounds for this should in no way ever be just a swirling mess of colors and should contain actual objects

The c4ds are used really badly: they go off in different directions, both are either set to lighten or darken merely because they can be without either being used to provide an attractive effect or add anything appealing to the sig, the c4ds' styles clash and look bad together, both just seemed to be used just to say they're there

No lighting, depth, blending, or flow

Terrible text

hows this sig

2m6o60x.png

Few things I noticed after a quick glance:

Render is lq, at least by my standards

Background is empty, literally

C4ds and their effects overlapping one another is causing a large ugly mash of various shades of green

Render doesn't fit in at all

Some of the green seems overcontrasted

The yellow makes very little sense and doesn't really fit in with the rest

No lighting, no source of light that happens to be in any lit environment ever to exist

No blending, there was no attempt to try and make the render seem in place

No flow, c4ds are shooting off in all directions

No depth, there doesn't seem to be any distance between the render and the c4ds

You are being a bit harsh there. It isn't brilliant I know, but you don't have to shout at him.

Don't understand how it could be considered "shouting". I didn't type in all capital letters, so unless it's just you overreacting, no one was "shouting".

I'm merely telling them what they are doing wrong, absolutely nothing harsh about that. If you can't stand complete, accurate, and helpful critique then you can simply ask for me to not cnc your work. If they don't complain, but you do, that means it's simply you overreacting.

Hey guys how do you put the img code without the image appearing?

If you mean spoiler, it's [spoiler*]image and contents here[/spoiler*] but remove the 2 *

If you mean something else..I don't know..

How is this sig?

I can see a little flow there..

Didn't feel any depth, but if you tried.. probably that it failed =P

Lightsource is nice..your first "decent" tag with light source I reckoned...

Blending was mehh and colours could improve greatly...but that's pretty cool!
