BehindTheMask
because the god of yugimonz decided that they' date=' the rich men, should be gifted with the ability to win duels without actually trying[/quote'] I got a full LS deck for 150 dollars. GenzoTheHarpist
Well' date=' LS might not have won the SJC, but they sure took up most of the places in the Top 16.[/quote']Yeah, but then they dropped dropped like flies and lost all those spaces. That's because they were all paired up against eachother. =/ No, they weren't. Nearly every "other" deck that made the top 8, was paired against an LS in the top 16. But they were still the most prevalent deck type. They were the most prevalent deck type early last format, too. Didn't help them win.because the god of yugimonz decided that they' date=' the rich men, should be gifted with the ability to win duels without actually trying[/quote'] I got a full LS deck for 150 dollars. Umad? Lrn2stockmarket. That's awesome. How'd you land that one?
Psycho Shocker Android
I'm sorry' date=' I did not realize you have such problems with reading comprehension. In the future I will take your unique disability (or is it "alter-ability" now) into account and remember that not everyone was created with the brain-power to understand obviously stated points. All decks have a luck aspect and a skill aspect. LS happens to have a ridiculously high luck factor and an unfathomably low skill factor. Thus, if you lose to LS it will almost never be because they were better than you, [b']but because the god of yugimonz decided that they, the rich men, should be gifted with the ability to win duels without actually trying.[/b] The skill in LS basically amounts to "knowing enough not to deck out". Actually the gods of yugimonz explained this in the first yugioh episode. http://www.youtube.com/watch?v=aX8_AtW6QNo If you watch this you'll see that at 2:35 Yugi says why he won vs Joey. His exact words are : "You did fine joey. I just had better cards". You see at the very beginning they explain what it takes to win and first you need good cards. Shortly after, they present Kaiba who's ready to do anything to get the most powerful cards. Lastly they show that you also have to "put your heart into the game". This doesn't mean that you can win with crap into your deck, but it says that if you have a good deck, you can do well if you do what it takes to become a better player. This is why you see people with LS always complaining that they have a deck worth more than 500$ but they keep on losing. Luck has always been a factor in card games but a good player should be able to deal with that. And for your information it takes more than knowing how not to deck out with LS. You have to remember exactly what cards are in your deck and make your moves accordingly. You also have to evaluate your opponent, make reads, think about their outs. It's all about analysing the situation you are in and make the best plays in any given situation. I saw somebody lose because he used Monster Reincarnation on Judgment Dragon, while he could have got Honest and attack with the monster he had on the field to win. Mirror Force was already in his opponent's graveyard but not Torrential Tribute and it cost him the game. Playing LS is just like playing any other top tier deck. Yes you have something strong but if you can't play it right you won't get anywhere with it. inb4tl;dr
Flash Flyer - Sakura
I agree that Konami didn't do anything about LS and instead went to limit/ban every other decktype used. And now they're releasing them AGAIN in other packs. Although I'd love to get a couple Honests for my deck, Lightsworns are already overpowering the TCG in my opinion. Konami should STOP favoring LS. But when I can have dominated for the whole game, they are left with absolutely no cards while I have many on field and in hand, and they have been making nothing but dumb moves, it is not good that they can just top JD and insta-win. This has happened far, far more times than it should. Because there are tons of times, where dropping that one card has been enough to get game regardless of how it was before then. Psycho Shocker Android
I know JD is a pain and should be banned but when you play vs LS you have to play with him in mind. Keep you traps for him, try to remove the LS. I play a chaos deck and trust me JD rarely hits the field. He's usually a dead draw. Every decks have trump cards, LS just happen to have one of the best. Usually siding Light-Imprisonning Mirror and Kycoo the Ghost Destroyer are enough to deal with LS. Sure, no side deck tech is bullet proof just look at Legendary Jujitsu Master. He's good vs GB but if your opponent can bring out Gyzarus he's useless. GenzoTheHarpist
Well if you think JD should be banned, we don't really have anything to argue about here.
