I think your idea [i']might[/i] need a weakness chart. Kinda' like Pokemanz

 

they had a mild weakness chart in Forbidden Memories (game whur u gotz Red Eyez METAL and Herpes Pet Drago) based on Celestial Allignments and "types", like Fire killed plants and insects, Thunder killed winged beasts, water, sea-serpents, aqua and random WATER monsters, Rock and Reptile killed Thunder etc. It was generated by a 500 ATK boost.

In The Sacred Cards, the monsters with certain types or attributes destroyed others before damage step. I hated something big like Summoned Skull being destroyed when attacking a facedown Magician of Faith.
