this section amounts to little more than wikia-random hits replied to with "fail card is fail" or "____ > this"

most topics resolve themselves in seconds. and by seconds, i mean roughly 2 posts.

the only topics worth while here are "this new card confirmed, look at it, isnt it shiny" topics. which are usually useful. the sad part is that this can be amalgamated into one topic, wherein a few guys periodically check to see which new cards are confirmed for which set, and we post a few lines afterward.

 

some of our most active topics, that being said, are actually flame wars.

i know its theoretically the job of a mod to lock topics that devolve into flame wars in order to promote a happy, safe forum, but come on >.>

this place is boring to high hell. the only fun is when 2 people start fighting. and chaos pudding is usually the one putting a stop to that >.<

now, i realize hes doing his job, but its still boring.

 

yawn.

 

so i'm going to be aggressive and continue a fight that was closed, because that doesnt really resolve the issue. it just leaves people with leftover irritation, which, when bottled up, really isnt nice for anyone. fighting is healthy :P

 

in continuation, my responses to a previous fight can be summed up thusly:

a) ryko is a staple in lightsworns, you semantic dolt.

b) the paragraph you summed up as "i am god" contains nothing of the sort, reread it.

c) i never said i was god. in fact, i'm looking for things i said that werent straight up factual. or even things that were really just arrogant. apparently its arrogant to say that you did something that some random jackoffs are talking about, and to take pride in ones efforts. since when did our definition of arrogance become so skewed?

d) furthermore, i never said flip trolls were meta outside of jest. in fact, if you look in there, i stipulated multiple times that they werent competitive in the upper levels. you cant really use something i say to argue against me, as though i believed otherwise. youre just silly here.

e) troll, noun, a person who annoys people for fun.

troll, noun, as per my usage, anyone or anything that is annoying.

i find annoying to be too large of a word, and troll sounds good there. by misinterpreting and ignoring most of what i say, then arguing about it, youre being annoying, and as per my definition, a troll.

f) please cite passages, with bold-enings, of lines where you find me being arrogant in a non-factual way.

g) doubting the validity of the basis of this discussion is kind of... stupid. do you honestly believe i made it up just to be a jackass? now /that/ would be arrogant. but it would also be very petty. and petty, i am not.

but context is a valid question, to which i believe i provided the base conversation as my friend overheard it. i'm sorry i dont have a more detailed source, cited in mla format with pictures. the only reason i can think of that you would even doubt this to begin with though, (because such insight on rationale as i have provided, i doubt you possess) is perhaps that you are running out of footholds, and reaching for arguments.

maybe we should raid em.

the real problem, i think, is that half the people just wanna be crab helmet. they walk into a discussion, find the simplest way to troll, and then do so. they think theyre funny, or at least they desperately want to be funny, because thats the only way they gain acceptance in the real world. these are the same people who go into the "this card" threads and just post "fail card is fail" as if reusing an old meme makes them funny. theyre unworthy of the server space they take up.

 

the other real problem is that eveyone who isnt a crab helmet wannabe is a metafag. if we arent discussing jd himself, the topic usually devolves into "_____ > this" and people quoting that (as if their blind agreement added to the discussion).

 

oh, and the third faction is just idiots.

 

so we really have nothing good to pick from, its no wonder we dont have any good discussions.

i know they hate me, but its still nice to be in a forum with other good players other than akira crab helmet and pika

 

even tho everyone is trying to be crab helmet and i seem to be the only one with oppinions on this site, who actually wants good discussion of cards that deserve it

 

why do we need to discuss things like offerings to the doomed, and when we do the topic isnt locked for being stupid, and peopl are actually paying more attention to that thread then the few decent ones, NOT ONLY THIS but that card is getting comments other than hoplessly terrible :S

It's not even a staple there either. :P It's too slow, and only any good first turn, where netting a Lumina + Garoth situation is better anyway.

I think it was a tad different than just that. IIRC, and I did, you were going around, and I quote, telling everyone how funking awesome you were for reinventing a Tier 3 Decktype.

Now that we've established this, why does making your own, granted slightly above average at times version of a Tier 3 Deck make you any more "funking awesome" than say, Elemental Hero Andrew? My problem here is how high you're putting yourself. Your inflated pride when you haven't really done any more to warrant pride than the next guy. I dislike braggarts, I saw you as one, I posted with this in consideration.

What did I not address? Other than Duel Spirits, which were really just what I saw as friendly competition for us TCGers to promote a monster, your telling people to use them when the original concept wasn't even yours is hardly a bragging right. Now that I've addressed that, please tell me exactly WHAT I "ignored".

First explain the meaning of "being arrogant in a non-factual way" so I don't "misinterpret" you.

I was just stating my doubt as to the distance of these people and whether they've come into contact with you before, and other doubts as to how high their skill level was. Based on one's supposed wanting to "destroy decks without effort", alone, I'm not getting a huge first impression.

I'm not trolling you. My points are valid. The better Deckbuilders here, Akira, Pyramid, Psycho, etc, you don't see them making threads about how funking awesome they are. Reputation is earned, not self-proclaimed.

This, but I'd argue that Arkus-Honest is the best opening.

 

Nope. Lumina into Aurkas + Honest is the best opening. Gives you more mill.

 

Also renders your Lumina useless though. =/

 

I still like Garoth and Lumina. ;D
