Official Artix Entertainment Thread (AE)

Seeing as games by these people are more popular than people would like to admit (you know who you are haters). I will make this thread, to discuss all their games, and compile a list of the characters for each person in this thread. This thread will also be cleaned up and have a sig for it, at a later date.

 

I also ask that whomever post before I am able to bump, will not be treated as a normal post, but rather the post that archives each character; and should you decide to edit your post will be dealt with appropriately.

 

So yeah... Discuss the game and the mods/admins who are very fun indeed. I'm a huge fan of Ghost, since he does the staff armors on AQW and most animation on DF.

I'm kind of wondering right now why AQWorlds' artwork is so much more cartoony than all the others.

 

I'll admit, for a browser based game, these are pretty good.

 

I was originally like a level 50 in AQ, when they first released the game and it was crazy hard, and full of broken equipment. Ice Katana and Demon Steed were love <3

 

Then they revamped the game and I lost my char. I restarted and now I'm like 63//Vampire//Necromancer//That one dark clan.

AQW has a cartoony look, not only for its own clever style; but because the size/models actually save memory. So you gotta hand it to them for that.

I dunno, maybe they thought to make an at least different game to other ones -.-. The only different game is MechQuest, which is awesome.

AQ's more my type of game. Hope they actually balance the difference between Warriors and Mages sometime soon. =S

Yeah, they also play double duty because "potential female players", not that they exist, can relate. They have a lot of adds featuring Artix flexing his muscles and raising his eyebrows too, which is pretty damn hot.

LoL id hate to think some male people would like "hot" 2d figures... even though some do.

 

Ive been with AQW for a vry long time. Those ads you describe were part of a funny inside joke ^.^. Many of you must of seen adds like Evony's where they freely flont female parts to tease boys in. AQw responed with there corny ads.

I bet they defenetly brought new members in not just because artix barely had any clothes or twilly acting queer. But the humor of it.

Female players in AQW DO EXSIST i know its a surprise but i know MANY girls "that i know in r.l. or have met coinsedently" that play. Just the other day at the library I toke stroll down the row and i see a girl typeing away at the computer. Now this girl was HOT. and i mean the hot that makes you look away cause your eyes cant take it anymore. Of course everyones defenition of hot is diffrent. So i go over and try and woo her with skills i dont have. But, when i got there i saw her playing aqw. And guess what? not only was she a aqw player but she was buddys with one of MY FRIENDS I saw her character all the time. So i casually sat next to her logged in and when she saw i was playing as my character we were talking. ... i never did flirt with her though. I thought it would be werid and i left it be. I havent seen her again... when i asked her about it she said she was visiting friends and snuck out to get and exclusive item XD. Man and i felt like a nerd.

I didn't know, quite frankly. And I don't see why it's Free Players anyway, that zone is pure luxury and exists as nothing you NEED. You still experience 90% of the game as a free player, why want more? (And yes, I had this mentality as a free player).

 

Ooh, and I'd beg to differ on the Ultimate Prize, as I find that weapon ugly. I prefer this: http://aqwwiki.wikidot.com/hex-of-miltonius . But that's just due to my taste as yours is your own taste. And it's chosen weapon: http://aqwwiki.wikidot.com/focus-staff-of-miltonius . But then again, both those items have crazy high requirements to get.

This was the game I saw EVERYONE playing when I used to visit my local Internet Cafe. This along with Runescape. The main problem I had with this ggame was the fact that is was a RPG but not MMO. Also there is no Hub as such it's more of a Free Battle mide. I'll have to admit the Artwork for the game is very nice though.

Most of the Adventure Quest games and spinoffs mostly. Just like Farmville and its derivitives. I tried to play AQ once. I soon went back to a console game :P MMO's to me are sometimes a Timesink and i'm always scared that I would become dangerously addicited. It happened with Phantasy Star Online in the past along with Neopets.

AdventureQuest/Battleon is not alike Dragonfable. Everything is different besides the medium. Although, it is a Spinoff of their minigame "Archknight". The only 2 that are legitimately alike are... Well... Neither.

 

AdventureQuest is a basic 1vs1 MMOSPG.

DragonFable is a Walk Around MMOSPG.

MechQuest is a Sci-Fi Mech based MMOSPG.

AdventureQuest Worlds is a fully fledged MMORPG set in your browser.

EpicDuel is a 1vs1/2vs2 PvP Sci-Fi Post Apocalyptic MMORPG set in your browser.

 

The only similarity is that the first 3 are set in the same universe. While the 4th uses parts from the other 3 for inspiration and Characters. The 5th is a standalone game entirely.

 

WarpForce is not considered a separate game, as it exists inside the AQ universe and uses the same features it is merely a sci-fi alternative to the AQ game.

It's not that I find it to be the best looking out of all of Miltonius' weapons, it's just that it is the hardest one to obtain.

I like going to miltonius place. The only reason why i go though is i try and get the godly dragon mace. XD that thing is EPIC. As for why people become members... its because its fun to be one there all kinds of excluseve weps and maps... and were the first to fight chaos lords and junk.

Getting the Sins of Miltonius is far harder.

 

Part 1- Void Knight

a: Get 1500 AC, Phoenix Blade and Tentacles of the Overlord (500'000 Coins)

b: Level 20 and Rank 10 Evil. Got to Miltonius and get the Void Armor.

Part 2- Void Knight Upgrade

a: Get 2500 AC, Diamond of Miltonius x3, Dark Crystal Shard x7, Contract of Miltonius (1mil coins).

b: Accept Quest and get the Orb Pet according to what Armor you want.

c: Get Diamond of Miltonius x10, Contract of Miltonius (1mil Coins), and Essence of [Type] Void.

d: Acquire Rank 10 in a Members Upgraded Class appropriate to the Type you want. Accept the Quest and get the Armor.

Part 3- Weapon

a: Get to Level 30, Tainted Gem x13, Dark Crystal Shard x13, Voucher of Miltonius (1mil Coins), Diamond of Miltonius x1.

 

In total you need to be Rank10 in Evil and at least 1 Upgraded Class, be level 30, have 3'500'000 coins/add 100k coins if you were Good, and 4000 AC (roughly $5-$15). And thats just assuming a friend has Drudgen, or you arent spending any extra AC on the advanced Miltonius Pets to get the gem collecting faster.
