It was the same way for me in my FanFic.I was having trouble Finding a Main Villain. Maybe use a Latin Names. From there you could tell and give backround info for your characters. For example, My fanFic's is called, Rock Creek's Light. My Main character lives in Rock Creek City and His Power is over Light. try something like that. A thin mist hung eerily over the tall trees. Snow blanketed the ground, hiding dead leaves and branches underneath. The forest was quiet and still this time of night- Even the creatures retired to their homes, full, satisfied, and ready to get a good night's sleep. He wouldn't last long in his current condition.
