I say Sepheroth cause the only FF related game I've played is Kingdom Hearts 1 and 2.

See? people who havn't played FF choose Sephiroth because they know him. He's seen more often.

give someone FF4 to play (doesn't matter which version) and FF7 and then after they beat both ask them who's cooler. if they say Sephiroth, smack them. in other words... TO DISSIDIA!

That is my point. Ask them Final Fantasy, what comes out of most mouths are:

Cloud, Sephiroth, Squall, Sora and Riku.

:/ So, this is a versus thread?

My opinion might be biased since I don't really know much about Cecil Harvey, but from what I know of Sephiroth he seems to have lots of power at his disposal. Of course, Cecil might have, too.

Well in my opinion I vote Cecil just because he doesn't have an absurdly annoying fan base. But being the original paladin never hurts either.

Explain the bolded, please.

No' date=' I meant, what did he mean by "First Paladin"? I didn't really understand the statement so I asked him about it.

What I meant is that Paladins are usually considered cool wherever they appear. People like the whole "swings a sword and calls upon light" thing for whatever reason. The paladins are everywhere now and Cecil was the first video game character to be a paladin, or a holy knight whichever term you like cause they're the same thing. So he becomes more awesome by the fact that he made that whole class of characters very popular.
