[DISC]The light monarch

Recommended Posts

Damn I don't know why nobody likes him !

he is so far my Favorite Monarch

He can destroy up to 2 cards on the field, even though he allows your opponent to draw, but still you can do alot of damage in this turn (and even win) before you allow your opponent to use the cards he drew

this card. has potential, and he's never bad.

Think.

When you tribute summon Raiza/Caius/Thestalos/Zaborg you simplify the game.

Tribute (-1), use effect (+1). That's 0.

When you tribute for Mobius you gain advantage.

Tribute (-1), use effect (+2). That's +1.

(His only problem is that you will rarely hit 2 non-chainable cards.

When you tribute for Kuraz it's a -1.

Tribute (-1), Use effect (0). That's a -1.

He is the worst Monarch in a Monarch deck. Only playable in Macro, but even there he is horrible.

Actually, a Summon usually amounts to a +1, so every Monarch is a +1 or higher, except Kuraz.

This was just to compare the Monarchs. I am not counting other effects.

So you meant comparative advantage, that makes sense.

In Macro Monarchs, Kuraz functions as a fair engine with D.D.R., but you'd have to drop it.

With as little speed and consistency as it already has, Macro can barely make use of it.

What? A summon is a +0. You lose a card in the hand and gain one on the field. A basic +0. Tribute summons, you lose a card in the hand and the field and gain one on the field, a -1. His analysis was completely correct.

Tribute him is a BAD idea. I'm saying he is my fav because his effect works even when he is Special Summoned. Think of the many good uses for him now.

CotH, is a trap that is useless when heavy, mst, breaker, destroys it. It can be a useful chainable if you have Sangan or Kuraz.

Opp activates heavy

you chain CotH and summon Kuraz, break CotH and Kuraz, Draw 2 cards. How's that bad in any way ?

this is only 1 good use for him out of many others..

Cards that make Kuraz good.

Premature (banned)

COTH

D.D.R. (Bad in monarchs even in macro)

So it's 1 out of 40 cards. In a monarch deck. Of course in other decks (Tundo. Kuraz Explosion, CB ...) he works well, but I said that he is bad in monarchs ...

Also:

You know that he can't attack when you summon him right?

Yeah I know he is not that good in monarchs, but not totally Bad.

I used him in chaos monarchs and he wasn't that bad. If I don't have LIGHTS in the grave he becomes worth the tribute. Tribute him, destroy him, draw 1 card, Summon Sorcerer.

also yes of course, I know he can't attack the same turn he's summoned
