Guest JoshIcy
Or, what if that same effect of the hypo card was something you could instead declare at the start of a duel. (Resulting in your LP being 6000 when the duel starts). How would these affect the game etc. Or however you TCG players would discuss such a thing.inb4konamicensorsthiscardsoheisholdingajewel
Guest Chaos Pudding
To clarify, this discussion should probably be about the balance of cards that have the ability to add cards from the Main Deck to the Extra Deck, and all that that implies. Guest JoshIcy
The card fails because it doesn't even work in the first draw :/ Naturally you'd have to build a deck to have more than 40cards. And as Pudding said;"To clarify, this discussion should probably be about the balance of cards that have the ability to add cards from the Main Deck to the Extra Deck, and all that that implies." Which is the point' date=' I believe.[/quote'] No, it would need more than 41 cards for this to work as you draw 6 cards you first turn and if you have only 1 Ritual Monster (Which, if you did, you fail at life at making a Ritual Monster deck) you could activate it as it would put the deck at exactly 35... I think that condition should just be removed as it does little to actually make the card more fair. Besides, if you are going to do that, 20 cards would be a suitable number and there should be a limit as to how many Ritual monsters could be taken out. 「tea.leaf」
Rituals need more speed, not more retardation.
Azuh
The only problem is that the Extra Deck is limited to only 15 cards. So that would possible cause problems Plus, I guess a limit would be better on the card. As it can possibly move your whole Deck to the Extra Deck.... Although, it is a nice mechanic. Too bad Ritual Monsters weren't allowed in the Extra Deck in the first place

What if Rituals were a third colour for the Extra Deck and were Summoned the same as now, except they were there instead of the hand? Would they actually be run? OP'd for some? Exiro
This results in a 2-card combo (Ritual Spell + monster with a level equal to or higher than the Ritual Monster) for something like Relinquished or Reshef the Dark Being. This is comparable with another 2-card combo that brings out a strong monster, namely Vice Dragon (or something similar) + a Monarch. Now, let's look at the results. With the Ritual combo, we lose 2 cards, get 1 monster. That's a -1 so far. Now, let's say we're going for Relinquished. That card let's us eat 1 monster, so the opponent loses a card. That's a +0. Now, Vice Dragon + Caius. We lose Vice Dragon; -1. Caius let's us remove an opponent's monster, which brings us at +0. The differences are that Caius has a static ATK, and that we lose a Normal Summon in the second case. All in all, this sounds perfectly reasonable. The only problem would be ARA, which would be a 1-card combo that gives us a strong monster. This is similar to Rescue Cat Synchro and sounds unreasonable. With ARA banned, this system is fine.
