Tabris
Now, now, let us relieve ourselves of Sin Aura's tawdriness, and venture towards actual punk rockers. I won't be surprised if you haven't heard of them (and just as well - they disbanded 4 years ago), but hell. Discuss.
Thewho
most underrated band ever. they got looked at as one of the most important riot grrrls group. they should have been looked as one of the most important punk groups period. I've never got to see them live, but I was lucky enough to briefly meet Carrie, their guitarist. EDIT: I'm surprised that nobody has heard of this band, and its kind of sad. Tabris
... how about me? + cries + Well, it's to be expected. They operated in an independent label, never were too popular or radio-friendly, and disbanded four years ago, now. Who'd like them but those who seek excellence? Thewho
what's your favorite song by them? there's alot of them I like. I Wanna Be Your Joey Ramone, Youth Decay, Little Babies, Start Together, Words and Guitar... alot of their songs are great. the band could combine heavy post/punk rock with alot of pop sensibilities. have you seen the video for You're No Rock N Roll Fun? it's a great pop song, but it still has that "edge" to satisfy the hard head punk fan. (that quirky melody, if you will). and they look super cute in the video. I guess is better that not alot of people know about them, It makes the music something we can value and treasure. Tabris
Oooooooh, dear. Looks like a world music addict and a New Waver know of them. Tsk tsk. Just one - Dig Me Out. Sometimes, when I'm pissed off mighty and I'm listenin' to Suicidal Tendencies' You Can't Bring Me Down, I usually change the parting lyrics to: CAN YOU DIG ME OUT?CAN YOU DIG ME OUT?CAN YOU DIG ME OUT? A statement of the '90s, as well as the essential Sleater-Kinney. Anyhow, ye know where their name came from?
Thewho
I read somewhere the band name was named after a road in Lacey, Washington. I'm not sure how true that is though, because the band was based on (to my understanding) in Portland, Oregon.
