Catman25
I tried my hand at fakemon spriting. Outcome looked better than what I thought I could do, but it's still bad:
Catman25
I don't mind. I hard to start off easy, so I thought I rock (yes it's supposed to be a rock) would be easy. It's supposed to have sludge like grimer. I should've colored it differently.

Felix
Sorry to be a dick but it looks like sh!t... literally:/ You say dick but not sh!t. lol Dick isn't censored, sheet on the other hand needs an exclamtion mark. TC: Try making something based around an irl animal, at least then you've got a shape to work from. For my 1st I whent with a bear because it's not very complicated. Also, try to make the eyes the way the game sprites look instead of white spaces:/

Catman25
I see what you mean. I just started with what was a simple shape. =/ Edit: Added another one. I was going to make realistic eyes, but the little specs seemed to suffice. You can't really see 'em though. =/
Mehmani
The bonsai thing looks like a turd with little bits of vegetable stuck at the top. It's not that bad though. How do you do Fakemon spriting anyway?
Felix
It's called scratching and it's the name given to drawing things from scrath, pixel by pixel, instead of cropping bits off other sprites and sticking them to something else.
Catman25
I just made a shape with a pencil tool, then colored it, etc. I'm not sure if there's a right way. =/
Felix
Yus it's the right way to draw, but first you should have had something in mind (not a blob of brown stuff, that doesn't count), possibly build other bits befre you make the body, starting with a base helps too. The second one is better but a bit too much like Sudowoodo
