Episode 29: Final Gift From A Friend! Destiny Draw!

 

Jessie and Andrix stood, looking down at Ace. All of the sudden he just got surrounded by the Dark Energy and fell to the ground. Andrix spoke.

 

"Ace, are you alright?"

 

"I...what happene..d?"

 

"We don't know. Jessie and I were walking when you got surrounded by this Dark Glow and fell. Are you in pain?"

 

"I'm, in a lot of pain.."

 

"I dunno about you Andrix, however I'm guessin this has somethin to do with Shadow."

 

"You think so?"

 

"We..have to go find Riley."

 

"Not in the condition your in dude. We can wait until you get better."

 

"I won't though. I can feel this Dark Energy, and it's taking life out of me."

 

"Andrix, I will stay here with Ace, you go to where Riley was dueling! Try and find out what's goin on."

 

"Right."

 

"Hurry up, I don't know how much time he has left!"

 

Andrix began running towards where Riley was dueling last. He was sure that Riley had defeated Aussa, and maybe he was already dueling Shadow. Either way, Ace was in pain, and he had to do something about it.

 

Riley stared at Shadow.

 

"What did you do?!"

 

Seto and Crystal, along with Aussa and Hiita were amazed at the Dark Energy Shadow was controlling.

 

"Hmm..You wanted to see my strength. I sent Dark Energy to your friend Ace. You see, the Dark Energy is surrounding him, just like my monsters, and the field. Each time you lose Life Points, the Dark Energy takes some life out of him. And if you lose all your Life Points, you know what happens."

 

"Leave him out of this! This has nothing to do with him. Oh yes it does. You see, Ace is your friend, and you care about him. When your fighting for your friend, you will be more of a challenge. I don't care what happens to your loser friend though, so you can let me win now if you'd like!"

 

"This isn't good! Riley is in danger, as is Ace. You and I could be in danger also Crystal!"

 

"You really think so Seto?"

 

"Shadow will do whatever it takes to get more Dark Energy."

 

"You won't win. Especially not with Ace's life on the line also! He's like a brother to me, and I won't let you destroy him. I activate the Spell Card Elemental Destiny! Now, by paying 1000 Life Points, I can fuse Elemental Hero Stratos with Destiny Hero-Disk Commander to summon Elemental Destiny Hero Windwing!"

 

"What's a weak monster like that going to do for you?"

 

"This! I activate Windwing's Special Ability! By discarding one card from my hand, I can draw 2 cards from my Deck!"

 

"Is that the best you can do?"

 

"Nope! Not at all! How do you like this? I activate Graceful Charity! So, I can draw 3 cards, then discard 2 cards from my hand! I discard Necro Gardna and Spear Dragon! Next up, I play Warrior Fusion! I can remove from play monsters in My Graveyard to Special Summon a Warrior monster from my Fusion Deck that has those monsters listed in it's card text. By removing from play Spear Dragon and Necro Gardna, I summon Spear Gardna!"

 

"Your Gardna is a strong monster, but he only has 1000 attack points now! Riley, no matter what you do, you won't win."

 

"I WILL win! Now, take your turn!"

 

Andrix noticed Riley, and he was dueling Shadow.

 

"Riley!"

 

"Andrix?"

 

"Ace is in danger! He was hit by Dark Energy, and now he's in a lot of pain."

 

"I know. Shadow did this. Every time I lose Life Points, Ace loses Life."

 

"What?!"

 

"The only way to stop this is for me to win."

 

"Then win!"

 

"I will."

 

"Riley, once I defeat you, I will be able to control Darkness! Now, I activate the Spell Card Shadow Strike! This card lets my The Dark Creator attack your Life Points directly. All I have to do is send 3 cards from the top of my Deck to the Graveyard. Now attack!"

 

Riley's Life Points: 1700

Shadow's Life Points: 4000

 

The Dark Energy surrounding Ace began to increase in size.

 

"This...pain."

 

"Ace."

 

Jessie didn't know what he could do. Andrix then walked up to Jessie.

 

"Andrix! Did you find Riley?"

 

"Yes."

 

"What is happening?"

 

"Riley is dueling Shadow, and each time Riley loses Life Points, Ace loses Life from the Dark Energy."

 

"So..tha..ts whats going on."

 

"When the Dark Energy just increased, it was because Shadow's The Dark Creator attacked Riley's Life Points. Riley wants to help Ace, however theres not much he can do."

 

"Riley. He's such a good friend. He cares about saving me, even though he is in danger too. Let me help Riley."

 

"What do you mean?"

 

Light began shining from Ace's body, sending the Dark Energy back. The Light Energy went from Ace to Riley, and the light landed on top of Riley's Deck. Ace closed his eyes, and was fully surrounded by the Dark Energy.

 

"What's this?!"

 

Shadow noticed the Light on top of Riley's Deck. The Dark Energy on Riley's monsters was destroyed, and Riley became surrounded by Light Energy.

[u]Episode 30: Riley’s Strength! Darkness No More![/u]

Shadow looked as the light energy settled on top of Riley’s Deck. It turned into a card. This card wasn’t a regular duel monsters card, it was a card made completely of energy.

“What happened to my Dark Energy?!”

Riley smiled.

“I don’t know what happened. However, I do think this card is going to help me win the duel.”

“Not only has my Dark Energy been destroyed, I don’t have control over your friend anymore! Something is wrong!”

Riley then realized what happened. He almost cried upon realizing it. Ace had given Riley all the energy he had, so that Riley could defeat Shadow. What a good friend. Seto had also realized what happened.

“Crystal, if you are wondering what just happened, your friend Ace gave all his Light Energy to Riley so he could win the duel. Unforuntately, doing this destroyed Ace. In other words, he sacrificed himself so Riley could win the duel.”

“Ace did that? Why…Riley has to win now! He can’t let Ace’s gift be for nothing.”

“Riley, you won’t win. I am the strongest person in the world! Your friend’s gift won’t help you at all.”

“Shut Up!”

“What did you say?!”

“You heard me! Shut Up! I’m not going to stand here while you destroy the world! It’s time to step up, and win this duel!”

“You won’t…”

“You think you know all the answers! Your wrong! My friend gave me a gift, and that is what I’m going to use to defeat you!”

“Where’s all this strength from? You were nervous a minute ago!”

“I realized something. Your not as strong as you say you are. To me, your no stronger than any other opponent I’ve dueled! And like the other opponent’s I’ve dueled, you will lose!”

“Make your move Riley, and stop with the weak comments! You know there’s nothing you can do!”

Riley picked up the card on top of his Deck. It was the card Ace’s Light Energy created.

“I have two cards in my hand, so Spear Gardna’s attack is now 2000. That’s enough to destroy your Gil Garth! Spear Gardna, attack Gil Garth!”
“I activate my face-down card, Dark Replenish. This card can only be activated if Darkness is on the field. By tributing one monster, I can negate your attack and increase my Life Points by an amount equal to the attack of your monster times 2. So, my Life Points increase to 8000. Do you seriously think you have a chance of winning?”

Shadow’s Life Points: 8000
Riley’s Life Points: 1700

“Yes, I seriously do. Now, I will play one card face-down and end my turn.”

Andrix and Jessie looked at Ace. He was surrounded by the Dark Energy, and he wasn’t moving. Then, the Light Energy from before started to destroy the Dark Energy.

“Jessie, I think Ace is fighting the Darkness.”

“There’s nothing we can do. Riley will win, and maybe that will make everything ok.”

“Alright. I activate the effect of Darkness. So, I can send a card from the top of my Deck to the Graveyard, and your Elemental Destiny Hero Windwing! Now, I will remove from play one Gil Garth and one Shadow Delver from my Graveyard, then discard Dark Nephthys .”

“Why would you discard your own monster?”

“Don’t worry about it. Worry about this! The Dark Creator attack his Spear Gardna!”

“This move is for my friend! I activate Mirror Force!”

“What?!”

“All your monsters are destroyed now!”

“If I had attacked next turn, I would have used Dark Nephthys’ effect, and destroyed that!”

“You won’t win, and you will understand that once your turn is done.”

“You won’t win, I play four cards face-down.”


Seto looked at Riley.

“I wonder what he is going to do.”

“This…is for Ace! I activate the Spell Card Lucky Four! Now, I get to draw four cards from my Deck, and all other cards in my Deck are sent to the Graveyard.”

“That means this is your last turn. And with the face-downs I have, you won’t get an attack! You lose!”

“No. This is the card Ace gave me! I tribute Spear Gardna to summon Spear Gardna-Ultra Form!”

“What is that?!”
“Spear Gardna-Ultra Form gets 2500 attack points for each card in my hand. I have four, so his attack is 8000. That’s how many Life Points you have! Spear Gardna-Ultra Form, attack Shadow’s Life Points directly!”

“I activate Dark Strength! When your monster attacks, it is destroyed and you lose 2000 Life Points!”

Spear Gardna-Ultra Form destroyed the Trap Card, and continued to attack.

“What happened?”

“Spear Gardna-Ultra Form is unaffected by Spell and Trap Cards. So, I win.”

“How?! I should have won!”

“I told you, I wasn’t going to lose! You hurt my friend, and I wouldn’t stand for that!”

Shadow’s Life Points: 0
Riley’s Life Points: 1700

“Riley won! Impressive, kid.”

“Awesome Riley!”

Ace wasn’t surrounded by any energy anymore. He stood up.

“Ace, your ok!”

“Yes, Andrix. When Riley won the duel, I got my energy replenished. Thanks for the help guys.”

Andrix, Jessie, and Ace walked to where Riley, Seto, Crystal, Shadow, and the Charmers were.

“Ace! Thank you so much!”

“Riley, thank you for winning, and making everything ok.”

Hiita walked up to Riley.

“Riley Storm, you saved the world. Now, I will return you and your friends to your world.”

There was a flash, and they were all back in Diamond City. Shadow was there also.

“Riley, you defeated me. You are the best duelist in the world. Thank you for saving me.”

“What do you mean?”

The Darkness was no longer surrounding Shadow either. Riley noticed that Shadow was the person he dueled a month ago.

“When you dueled me a month ago, you defeated me. I was so upset about the loss, that I tried to get Dark Energy to be able to defeat you. All I had to do was win against you, and I could be the strongest duelist. That didn’t happen. Thank you for everything.”

“So it was you that I dueled.”

“Yes. Good luck with your dueling Riley.”

Shadow walked away. Seto walked up to Riley.

“You are a great duelist Riley. I am glad I got to duel you. I am going to go to Domino City now. I will talk to you later. Bye.”

“I am going to go also. It was awesome to meet you Riley.”

“You too Jessie.”

“Bye Crystal, Ace, and Andrix!”

“Bye!”

“I’ve got to go talk to my friends! Bye everyone!”

“Bye Andrix!”

Riley, Crystal, and Ace were standing in Diamond City. After all they had done, they wanted to sit down.

“Riley, you were great.”

“You were too Ace. I’m sorry you had to go through all this. Both of you.”

“It’s ok, Ace and I are your friends. I wouldn’t want this any other way.”
