Episode 26: Spear Gardna! A Strong Fusion?

 

"Since my Granmarg attacked you already, I can't do much else this turn. Your go."

 

"If you thought my last move was impressive, wait until you check this one out! I summon Spear Dragon in attack mode. Then, I play the Spell Card United We Stand."

 

Riley's Spear Dragon began to glow, and it's attack points increased to 3500, 300 more than Granmarg's attack.

 

"How did that happen?"

 

"You see, United We Stand increases the attack points of the equipped monster by 800 points for each monster on my side of the field. I have Necro Dragon and Spear Dragon on the field, so Spear Dragon's attack raises by 1600. That's more than enough to destroy Granmarg! Spear Dragon, attack Granmarg with Wind Wing!"

 

 

Spear Dragon moved it's wing, sending a stream of air towards Granmarg, destroying it.

 

Riley's Life Points-4000

Aussa's Life Points-2900

 

"Not done yet, Necro Dragon attack his face-down monster! Necro Vortex!"

 

Aussa takes Apprentice Magician off the Duel Disk, and places it in the Graveyard. Then, she takes a card from her Deck and sets it face-down.

 

"As you know, when Apprentice Magician is destroyed in battle, I can Special Summon a Level 2 or lower Spellcaster monster from my Deck. I chose Magician Of Faith."

 

"Your monsters aren't the only ones that have effects! When Necro Dragon destroys a monster, I can draw a card from my Deck. Alright, I set one card face-down. Now it's your move."

 

"Riley, you are a great duelist. No wonder you were able to defeat Eria and Wynn. Did you know that only two other duelists have defeat all four of us? By all four of us, I mean the Charmers. Me, Eria, Wynn, and Hiita. If you can do this, that would mean you are one of the best duelists in the world."

 

Riley smiled.

 

"You know, that's whats interesting. When I started dueling, it was because I heard about Duel Monsters, and it looked fun. I didn't care about being the best, or anything like that. That's why winning or losing isn't important. Even though the world could be in danger, I'm not worried about losing. If I think about winning, and play with complete strategy, I will most likely lose. That's why I respect my cards, and my cards help me to win. In this situation, I am going to defeat you. These duels have been really awesome. Crystal, Ace, Seto, Andrix, you all have stood by me, and I really appreciate that. Even after everything that happened, it means so much. I am going to defeat Shadow and the Charmers. However, it's not because I want to be the best, it's because I want to thank my friends for everything they did for me. After all they went through, I can't just sit here and do nothing. So make your move."

 

"Riley is really determined. He reminds me of Yugi. Crystal, has he always been like this?"

 

"No Seto, he hasn't. Riley was a duelist that wasn't really good, I used to always defeat him. Now, he's got some new cards, and he's really devoted to winning. That's why he's such a great friend. He cares more about us then himself."

 

"Hm.."

 

"Ok Riley, I want you to win, but my mission is to defeat you. Otherwise, we may not know if you really are the one that is supposed to duel Shadow. No matter what happens, I know you are a great duelist, your determination proves that. With that being said, I will now make my move. I flip summon Magician Of Faith, so I can add a Spell Card from my Graveyard to my hand. I will add Discard Set to my hand. Then, by tributing Magician Of Faith, I summon Raiza The Storm Monarch!"

 

"Another Monarch? Why the hell are those cards in this fan-fic? It's not the damn meta-game?!"

 

"When Raiza is Tribute Summoned, one card on the field is returned to the top of it's owner's Deck. I choose your Spear Dragon, and that means United We Stand is also destroyed. Raiza, attack his Necro Dragon!"

 

Riley's Life Points-3600

Aussa's Life Points-2900

 

"Thanks for that."

 

"What do you mean?"

 

"When you destroyed Necro Dragon, you activated his effect."

 

"How many effects does that dragon of yours have?"

 

"Three to be exact. When he's destroyed all Necro Gardna's that are removed from play are added to my hand."

 

"Whatever. I set one card face-down and end my turn."

 

Shadow stood, watching the duel. He now realized that Riley was a strong duelist. He wasn't worried about losing to Riley, but he knew it wouldn't be easy to defeat him.

 

"This will be interesting."

 

Riley picked up a card.

 

"If it's ok with you, I've got a world to save. Here goes! I activate the Spell Card Polymerization!"

 

"A fusion?!"

 

"Yep! I fuse Spear Dragon and Necro Gardna to summon Spear Gardna!"

 

Spear Dragon and Necro Gardna rose up into the air, and a new monster appeared on the field. He had the body of Necro Gardna, with wings, and a Spear in his hand. Spear Gardna had 0 attack points.

 

"You just used three cards to summon a monster with 0 attack points? That sure doesn't generate hand advantage."

 

"Don't underestimate me. Every card is good, it just depends on what Deck you use it in, and what cards you combine it with. No card is weak. They are all good. Allow me to prove it!"

 

"That means your monster has a special ability!"

 

"Correct. First of all, Spear Gardna's attack increases by 1000 points for each card in my hand. Second of all, you lose Life Points from battle even if he battles a defense position monster!"

 

"You won't win yet. Even If you have a card to change Raiza to defense mode, your monsters attack will decrease because you will have less cards in your hand. Oh wait! The face-down card!"

 

"Correct again. I activate Necro Battle Change! I can remove from play a Necro Gardna in my Graveyard to change the battle position of one of your monsters! Obviously I choose Raiza."

 

"Your smart, Aussa. Can you help me with this math problem? My Spear Gardna, attacks your Raiza. Then what happens?"

 

Aussa smiled at Riley's comment.

 

"You win Riley. The difference between your Gardna's attack and my monarch's defense is 3000. I only have 2900 Life Points, and that means I lose."

I can't let God Kaze defeat me in fan-fic writing, so I decided to begin writing this again. The code, for those who weren't able to figure it out.

Episode 27: Hiita The Fire Charmer

 

Ace was looking for Jessie. He had walked away before Riley began the duel with Aussa, and Ace wanted to find him.

 

"I know where Jessie is, and your not looking in the right place."

 

Andrix walked up to Ace.

 

"Andrix? Weren't you with Crystal and Seto supporting Riley in his duel?"

 

"Yes. After Riley defeated Aussa, I decided to go look for you and Jessie. I noticed Jessie as I was looking for you, however I figured it would be better to tell you first."

 

"Alright, lets go get Jessie, then we can go support Riley in his duel against the only other Charmer."

 

Aussa smiled, and looked at Riley.

 

"You are a great duelist. I respect you, and I want you to do your best in the duel against Hiita, alright?"

 

"Thank you. These duels are getting more challenging. You were more challenging to defeat then Wynn or Eria."

 

"There's only one more Charmer for you to duel Riley. If you defeat her, then you can duel Shadow."

 

Aussa looked at Shadow.

 

"This duel will be interesting."

 

"You will be defeated Shadow!"

 

"Aussa, don't worry about Shadow. I am going to defeat Hiita, then him."

 

"Someone's confident."

 

Seto, Crystal, Riley, Aussa, and Shadow looked at the one who said that. It was Hiita.

 

"Riley, I am Hiita The Fire Charmer. If you defeat me, then you are the one who can duel Shadow. I don't think you will win though."

 

"That's what Wynn, Eria, and Aussa said! Lets duel and find out!"

 

"Ok."

 

"I don't understand why we can't just duel Shadow."

 

Crystal looked at Seto, almost suprised that he said that.

 

"If we did duel him, we would most likely lose. Riley is the duelist that will defeat Shadow."

 

Shadow knew that no one could defeat him. If Riley did defeat Hiita, Shadow would defeat Riley. Then, the world would be his.

 

"Ladies first!"

 

"Thanks. I summon Firestorm Apprentice in defense mode. That's it for now."

 

"My move! I summon Necro Gardna in attack mode! Your Firestorm Apprentice only has 500 defense points, so Necro Gardna can destroy it. Attack with Necro Strike!"

 

"When you attack Firestorm Apprentice, it's Special Ability activates! By discarding one card from my hand, your attack is negated, and you lose 500 Life Points."

 

Riley's Life Points: 3500

Hiita's Life Points: 4000

 

"I will play one card face-down, then you can go."

 

"I will begin by tributing Firestorm Apprentice to summon Thestalos The Firestorm Monarch! When Thestalos is summoned, you have to discard a card from your hand randomly."

 

Riley randomly selects Necro Gardna from his hand and sends it to the Graveyard.

 

"Then, because you discarded a monster, you lose Life Points equal to the Level Stars of the monster times 100."

 

Riley's Life Points: 3200

Hiita's Life Points: 4000

 

"Next, I activate Flare Up! I can tribute one Thestalos The Firestorm Monarch, and Special Summon two Thestalos' from my Deck!"

 

"That's not good!"

 

"Alright, I'm not finished yet! I tribute both Thestalos' to summon Firestorm Dragon!"

 

"It's only her second turn, and she already has a monster with 4000 attack points on the field."

 

"You won't win, Riley. My goal is to win this duel!"

 

"I can't lose! The world is depending on me!"

 

"That's not my problem. Firestorm Dragon, attack his Necro Gardna! I win."

 

"This is interesting. The other Charmer's were challenging, and I figured you would be the strongest one. Heh, I was wrong."

 

"What do you mean?"

 

"Go, Necro Inflict! When you attack a Necro Gardna, I can activate this Trap Card. Now, your attack is negated, and you lose 4000 Life Points!

 

Riley's Life Points: 3200

Hiita's Life Points: 0

 

"You are a great duelist, Riley Storm. You defeated me in only two turns."

 

Shadow walked up to Riley.

 

"You get to duel me now! I will win!"

 

"No way! Not after all I've done!"

 

"Lets duel then. I will go first. I play Dark Deity! Now, I can send the top five cards of my Deck to the Graveyard, then draw one card. This is a sample of my strength! I Special Summon The Dark Creator!"

 

Darkness surrounded Shadow's side of the field.

Episode 28: Duel Against Darkness!

 

"Riley, I will say that you are a strong duelist. For someone of your age, and someone with a Deck like yours, you are one of the best. I am a professional duelist. Also, I have the strength of darkness. I can use Dark Energy for my own wants and desires. When I defeat you, I will have enough Dark Energy to make the world mine! Only two other duelists have defeated all four charmers. Then, I defeated those duelists. The charmers want you to defeat me, because the other two duelists failed. I hate to upset them, but it won't happen. The monster I summoned is known as The Dark Creator. You might know the Duel Monster known as The Creator. My monster is infused with Dark Energy, and therefore is stronger than The Creator. This card is the weakest monster in my Deck, and yet it will be the monster that defeats you. I end my turn. I will win the duel next turn, so enjoy your last move. Ever."

 

Seto and Crystal looked as Shadow spoke to Riley. Shadow's voice was Dark, and the Dark Energy was surrounding Shadow.

 

"Crystal, I really don't think Riley can win."

 

"I always try to support Riley. This time though, I can't really support him, because I don't think he can win."

 

Riley looked at the cards in his hand. He noticed The Dark Creator on Shadow's field. The Dark Creator was surrounded by the Dark Energy that was also surrounding Shadow. He was nervous. Riley liked dueling, and he dueled for fun. Even while dueling Wynn, Eria, Aussa, and Hiita, he tried to have fun. Now, if he lost, the world would be destroyed. Everything was on the line here. He had to win. There was no other choice. Fun was not important in this duel. Riley had decided to use some cards from all of his Decks in this duel. His Elemental and Destiny Hero Deck, his Dragon Deck, his Necro Gardna Deck, and one other Deck. He was also worried about Ace, Andrix, and Jessie. Riley stopped worrying. He looked up at Shadow.

 

"You....."

 

"After everything you have done, and what you want to do, I'm not going to stand here and let you win! It's all or nothing here, so it's time to duel!"

 

"Can you back up what your saying, or are you just saying it? No one has defeated me, and I don't plan on losing now. You will find out how strong Dark Energy really is."

 

"Shut up! I summon Elemental Hero Clayman in defense mode! Then, I place one card face-down. Your move."

 

"That's your move? I expected more Riley. You are weaker than you look. First, I will activate The Dark Creator's effect. By removing from play one Dark monster in my Graveyard, I can Special Summon another Dark monster from my Graveyard. When I activated Dark Deity, all five of the cards that I sent to the Graveyard were Dark monsters. Thats why I was able to summon The Dark Creator. Anyway, I will remove from play Gil Garth in my Graveyard, to Special Summon another Gil Garth from my Graveyard!"

 

Gil Garth became surrounded by the Dark Energy also.

 

"Now I play the Field Spell Darkness!"

 

The Dark Energy surrounded the whole field now. Riley was nervous again. Shadow was playing cards that he hadn't heard of before.

 

"You see, while Darkness is on the field, only Dark monsters can attack! Plus, once per turn, I can destroy one monster on your side of the field, as long as I send a card from the top of my Deck to the Graveyard."

 

"That's incredible!"

 

"I know. So are all of my other cards! You can't win Riley. The world is about to be mine! I activate Darkness' effect. So I send the top card of my Deck to the Graveyard, and your Elemental Hero Clayman is destroyed."

 

Shadow sends Shadow Delver from his Deck to the Graveyard.

 

"Gil Garth, attack Riley's Life Points directly! I should also tell you that each time you lose Life Points, you lose that much of your life! The energy inside of you becomes Dark Energy, and I get it!"

 

"That's not good. Luckily for me, I have a Trap Card. Go, A Hero Em..Emerges. Now, you cho..choose one card in my hand, and if it's a monster, I can Special Summon it."

 

"I choose the far right."

 

"The ca..card you chose was Necro Gardna, so I can Special Summon it!"

 

"Whatever. Gil Garth, destroy it!"

 

"Sorry Necro Gardna."

 

"The Dark Creator, attack his Life Points directly!"

 

"I don't think so! By removing Necro Gardna from play, I can negate your attack."

 

"You got lucky this turn kid. It won't happen next turn. I end with one face-down."

 

Ace and Andrix found Jessie. He was looking through his cards. Jessie wasn't under Shadow's control anymore.

 

"Jessie!"

 

"Ace? I couldn't find ya!"

 

"It was thanks to Andrix that I found you. Lets go to where Riley is. He is probably in danger!"

 

"Shadow, I will win. Even you aren't strong enough to defeat me!"

 

"You doubt me? Let me give you an example of my strength!"

 

Shadow raised his arm into the air, and Dark Energy was released from it.

 

Ace, Andrix, and Jessie were almost at the place where Riley and Shadow's duel was going on.

 

"Were almost the...."

 

Ace fell down. He was surrounded by Dark Energy, then stopped moving.
