I didn't get a lot of feedback on "Forces Of Nature" so I hope this set gets more. Once again it deals with the theme of "Time" but this time in a very different way. It has new mechanic called "Aged Counters" which are similar to "Spell Counters". Much more diversified support for various monster types. Also includes retrained versions of several existing cards such as Thousand Dragon and Dark Sage.

Cover Card: "Eternal Millennium Golem" guarding "Eternal Millennium Soul"

 

Theme: Time, Aging, Ancient Treasure, Forbidden Power, Growing, Decaying.

 

Flavor: Deadly power was locked away over a millennium ago with strict guards and protection. An ancient clan of tomb keepers have watched over this sacred power and have improved their deadly protection skills with each passing century. But now more then ever they must put their guarding skills to test against hordes of intruders seeking their apocalyptic treasure. All thieves seeking that treasure shall face a power honed for over a millennium and shall continue to improve for an eternity.

Effect: Every time you draw a card (or cards) place 1 Aged counter on this card. This card gains 200 ATK for every Aged counter on it. If this card is the target of a magic card you may remove an Aged counter from this card to negate the activation of the magic card and destroy it.

 

Eternal Millennium Rose

Effect: Every time you draw a card (or cards) place 1 Aged counter on this card. During your standby phase increase your Life Points by 200 for every Aged counter on this card. When this card is sent from the field to the graveyard inflict 100 Life point damage for every Aged counter on this card.

Effect: Every time you draw a card (or cards) place 1 Aged counter on this card(max. 5). Remove the following number of Aged counters from this card for the following effects.

3: Destroy 1 Trap card on the field. If target card is face-down then flip it face-up. If it is a magic card flip it face-down again.

Effect: Every time you draw a card (or cards) place 1 Aged counter on this card. Once per turn you may remove 4 Aged counters from this card to take control of a face-up monster on your opponent’s side of the field.

Greed Haunting Specter

This card can only be activated when your opponent has 7 or more cards in their hand. Special summon a “Specter token” (Zombie-Type/DARK/Level 1/ATK 0/DEF 0) in defense mode to their side of the field. The specter token cannot be used as a tribute under any means and during the controller’s end phase it inflicts 500 Life point damage to the controller.

 

Treasure Tempting Trap

This card can only be activated when a monster on your opponent’s side of the field declares a direct attack. Negate the attack. When this card is sent from the field to the graveyard you opponent draws 1 card. If you activate this card while 2 “Treasure Tempting Trap” cards are in your graveyard inflict 3000 to your opponent’s Life-Points

Return 1 Level 5 or higher Dragon-Type monster from your graveyard to your hand.

 

Unbreakable Savage Rock

Trap

Activate when your opponent’s monster attacks an attack position Rock-Type monster on your side of the field. The Rock-Type monster is not destroyed by battle from this attack. Inflict life point to your opponent equal to half the defense of the Rock-Type monster.

Every time you draw a card (or cards) place 1 Aged counter on this card. During your main phase send this card to the graveyard to destroy 1 face-up monster with an ATK equal to less the number of Aged counters on this card times 1000. Inflict damage to the card’s controller equal to half the ATK of the destroyed monster.

 

Future Summon

Remove from play 1 Level 4 or lower monster from your hand. During the controller’s second standby phase after activation special summon the monster to the field.

This card can only be activated when a Warrior-Type Monster on your side of the field destroys a monster in battle. Draw 2 cards.

 

Seeds of Eternity

Every time you draw a card (or cards) place 1 Aged counter on this card (Max 5). During your Main Phase you can send this card to the graveyard to special summon “Seed” tokens (Plant-Type/Light/Level 1/ATK 500/DEF 500) in attack mode equal to the number of Aged counters that were on this card.

This card can only be Special Summoned by tributing a face-up “Eternal Millennium Labyrinth” on your side of the field and move all Aged counters on the tributed card to this card. Every time you draw a card (or cards) place 1 Aged counter on this card. This card gains 200 ATK for every Aged counter on it. This card can attack while it is in Defense Position. If this card attacks while in Defense Position, apply the ATK of this card for damage calculation.

Effect: This card cannot be normal summoned or set. This card can only be special summoned by removing 10 Aged counters from a “Magical Stone of the Ages” on your side of the field and sending it to the graveyard. Every time you draw a card (or cards) place 1 Aged counter on this card. During your turn you may remove 2 Aged counters from this card or any “Magical Stone of the Ages” on your side of the field to discard the top card on your opponent’s deck to the graveyard.

This set looks really solid. It seems a bit weird though that so many cards deal with those Age Counters. They seem like the new Spell Counters. Overall the effects were really great in this set and the card name were imaginative and unique. If I were to express a certain distaste about a card it would be about Time-Motion Cannon and it's not bad at all. I would run Bull Market in 3's though. Just a tad OP.
