"We're...friends I guess you could say. The forest is your's again. We're very sorry for the death of your friend that tree giant, and any destruction we and the Streese have caused," said Zenon trying to bring closure to the situation and the ESPers could get out of this mind. He walked behind Markus and up the glowing stair case to the rift in the sky.

"Well this is certainly a lot more defined then getting in here was..." he muttered.

James stepped onto one of the floating platforms, then the next, then the next. "Well I think that went well!" Vitex said. James sighed and held his word so that it was pointing of to the side. "I've been thinking, A sword like this probably isn't the best weapon of choice for someone like me."

"What do you mean?"

"A person with wind powers should have a quick, light weapon like a katana."

"I do not know weather or not a person can change there ID. Perhaps you should ask doctor Seinhem."

"Yeah I guess I should."

He looked up at the hole in the sky and saw the faint shilloette of an old man. James then looked down at the creatures and saw they were regaining strength. He smiled and said "I think you're right, we did a job well done."

David rolled his eyes at James. "Next time, please don't make a conclusive statement that sounds cheesy." He sighed and began walking up the floating 'stairs' after James, replacing the small sword where he had gotten it. As he did so, the two-headed snake around his neck yawned simultaneously, then disappeared from view entirely. David shrugged, relieved to have the small weight off his shoulders.

Akashic watched as the queen and all the angry little creatures withered away. "Well, that was quick. Didn't even get to do much. Oh well, at least we're getting out of here. Hey Scrill, do we have to go back to the library again?" The fairy creature placed a paw to it's chin in thought as they made their way too the sky. "Hmmm, I don't think you will, but I'm going back. Someone has to watch over it."

Akashic smiled and turned his head to the floating stairway."Alright. Guess I won't be seeing you for a while then huh."

Scrill giggled. "Awww, Are you gonna miss me?"

"Right, I'll miss you like a tooth ache"

"Hey thats not very nice! Besides, with that Seinhem guy, I have a feeling we'll be seeing a lot more of each other."

"I sure hope not. This stuff's creepy."

Akashic glanced over his head at the weird world they're leaving behind. If all went well, they would never have to come back. It was a weird thought, being in someones head. He wondered what other peoples minds were like. Were they like this one? Or would they be compleatly different? Nevertheless he continued onward, in to the sky, back to the doctor and hopefully, back to the truth.

Markus continued to walk in relative silence. At some point, the small animal that had constantly tagged along with him seemed to dissipate. He squinted; everything seemed too bright. He put an arm infront of his eyes to block out the overly bright rays of whatever was causing them, and blinked when he put a foot down and didn't meet solid ground.

He blinked, as he twitched a foot in mid-air, turning around to see Seinhem sitting patiently in a chair, stride the various contomose ESPers and the old man whose mind they had entered.

After looking at the small animal following Markus dissappearing, Zenon turned to Huren who was walking along side him and said, "Catch ya later Huren!"

"See you soon Zenon," Huren said as he slowly faded away and Zenon returned to the real world. He hovered in the air next to Markus and said, "Now what? Do we just kinda dive back into our bodies?"

James stepped into the light. It was so bright James almost fell over when he got out. "Well I thought that was fun!" Vitex said as he and James walked over to his body and stopped. He took the locket from his neck and looked at it curiously. He had never used it nor had he ever seen what was inside. It was silver with a spiral etched into it. James opened it, it was black inside, but nothing happened. "I'll figure that out some other time" He said, touching the forehead of his body. Vitex, the sword and the locket all disappeard as James closed his eyes and then opened them.

He stood up as he returned to his body and looked at Stephen. "How is he?" James asked.

I walked up the staircase slowly, following suit with the rest of the ESP'ers. I looked back down once again, watching the two woodland creature things regain their strength slowly. I felt instantly bad about us slaying that first one, though.

"I only hope that our work here helps that guy back in the waking world..." I stepped cautiously up the final steps, still not completely trusting them. The rift in the sky was open, gaping, and fear-instilling, but I went through it anyway. The room we were in was still there, and Dr. Seinhem was still there too. All of our comatose bodies lay lifelessly upon the ground. I was so glad I wasn't wearing a skirt. My legs were sprawled out as I laid there. I quickly jumped back into my body, waking up suddenly.

"What's up?"

Markus quickly slipped into his body, feeling the jolt of gravity as soon as he did so. He groaned as he stood up, rubbing his eyes. His muscles felt still, as if he simultaneously had overused them and hadn't used them enough.

Seinhem brightened a bit. "Finally, you're back. I was beginning to worry." he rubbed his palms together. "Stephen's been doing better. There was a slight worry when you first entered, but we got past that. Since them, he's seeming a lot better." he said with a bit of a nod. "So, how'd everything go?" he asked brightly.

David stepped up the final stairs, shielding his eyes as he approached the light. After a few moments, he became aware of the fact he was no longer walking up stairs, or moving at all for that matter. He cautiously moved his arm from his face and blinked several times to adjust to his new, or old, surroundings. From a glance, he could tell that he was back in Seinhem's office or whatever and that he wasn't the only one conscious. His position on the ground suggested that he had just woken up from a dream, which wasn't the best evidence to convince himself that everything had been real.

"Hey! That's the way out Kipo! Let's get out of here!" cheered Heikichi as he flew into the hole, dragging Kipo by the wrist. In no time, Heikichi found himself back in the familiar messy lab of Seinheim.

"Well, I guess I'll see you later Kipo!" Heikichi said briefly before re-entering his body.

OoC: Sorry for the short post. I'm typing on my Ipod and I'm currently uninspired.

Markus shuffled his feet awkwardly as he detailed what had happened in the man's mind. Seinhem nodded thoughtfully throughout it all, wincing when he heard that they had killed the tree. He sighed a little. "I was a bit afraid of that. You're lucky that his ID happened to take the form of a regenerating tree; It will regrow, though I daresay he'll be missing a few of his emotions for a while..." he muttered.

Markus blinked. "His...ID?"

Seinhem nodded. "The Emotion center of the brain, responsible for animal urges and most feelings. In you espers, it takes the forms of your weapons, that you wield... in the Mindscape, however, it takes the form of the primary Guardian of the mind. It evidently disliked intruders."

On the final stretch of the stairway, Scrill speed a head, causing Akashic to cause after. Only when he got to the top, there was a blinding light and he was back in the office, Scrill nowhere to be seen. Akashic looked around the office. It had been just as he had remembered: The couch, the walls. The familiar earthly sights brought relief to the boys mind.

He heard voices and looked over. Seinhem was talking to Markus while those concious listened on. In the couch near them, the old man whose mind they had left seemed abit healthier, though he still had some way to go. At least they hadn't wasted their time. Stephen would make it after all. He stood up from the floor and proceeded over to where Seinhem was talking. "Pardon my interuption doctor, but what were those things? The Intruders or Stresse or whatever they were, didn't seem natural, even for something this, well, unnatural."

Wayne was currently lost in his own thoughts. Following whoever seemed to cross his path, he had not listened to the current explination at hand. He knew he was somewhere, but his mind drifted off to other things. He had no control over his thoughts, though, they filled his head too fast and too long. Wayne was in a trance, and didn't seem like waking up. It had all started when? He couldn't remember, then just kept dreaming.

But, on the outside, he looked perfectly fine. He had his casual look on his face; a possible twitch every time a bad memory came and passed. But he knew nothing of what was going on, and was trying to process what the Doctor was saying. He was lost, and he couldn't find his way out.

ID. There's that word again that Fuzzy mentioned.

"So... that weird dagger was my... ID." I listened as Dr. Seinhem went on about the Mindscape, and everything entailed in it. I felt kinda bad thinking we killed his emotions, but I heard the Dr. say it would regenerate soon enough.

Then someone brought up an idea that I was highly interested in.

"...those weapons we had were OUR Ids? What would they be like if we were to go into another ESPer's mind?"

I leaned forward in anticipation of the Dr.'s answer. This ESPer business was getting interesting.

Seinhem paused thoughtfully. "If you entered the mind of another Esper? Well, well well... I don't rightly know. Such a theory's never been tested. My assumption is that the ID would take the form of a living creature, same as anyone else's ID, while inside its master's mind. Only when projected outside does it take the shape of a weapon..."

The doctor paused again, and nodded. "The Stresse? I'm not sure what you mean." he said after a second. "I've never heard of them, though the name IS the latin derivative for 'stress', so it would follow that they would be his mind's own personification for his stresses and worries."

"Stress? THey seemed like a little more than stress..." Akashic looked at the man on the couch. He seemed almost peaceful now, his face regaining some color. "How did he get that way doc. I mean, I've heard that stress can cause alot of things, but this? What happened to him..." Akashic almost pittied the man. He obviously must've had some form of tramua, something terrible happen to him. As he looked at this mans condition, he couldn't help but htink of his own. Could his memory loss have been caused simply by stress? There were so many questions, and yet so little answers.

The doctor sat down, and sighed. "Now, that's a little hard to say, policy of confidentiality and all. However, as you are all technically my assistants, I guess I could share on thing or two."

He sat down and stretched a little. "See, our patient here was married, or say, is married but not for long. See, while he is rather plain looking, his wife is very young, very pretty, very innocent. She's a hit with the men, to say the least, and she's much too polite to tell them to go away. This was fine at first, but as the years gone by, mister Stephen here hadn't gotten used to his wife getting so much attention. He became fixated on the idea of her having an affair; when one dearly wishes for something not to happen, they often convince themselves into thinking that it is. At any rate, he's been having wracking nightmares; Visions of her being raped by slavering, animalistic men with bloodshot eyes, visions of her revealing herself to have been toying with him all along... it's a bit hard to keep, you see. At first, he tried to keep his suspicions to himself, but as the years dragged on, well... I'm sure you're familiar with a "Conspiracy Theorist?"

David listened distractedly for a few minutes. He was still trying to reorient himself after the venture into the mindscape or whatever it was called. Part of it was he simply didn't care. What one person's stress was caused by in the real world seemed ultimately irrelevent, and not any of their business. Nevertheless, he was still interested in what Seinhem had to say. Almost everything the doctor said had been interesting, to say the least, and paying attention could answer some of his unanswered questions rather than forcing a repeat of the explanation.

"A Conspiracy Theorist is someone who speculates that a person or persons are conspiring against him, right?" I knew some things. I read random stuff. "So, this guy that his wife and every John, Joe and Dick out there were conspiring to have multiple, huge affairs behind his back... Poor Stephen." I looked at the man, feeling pity run through my emotions. I'd been in relationships like that, and I knew that it wasn't any fun.

"Is there anything else we can do for him? It seems like we've gotten rid of those Stresse for now, but who knows whether or not they'll come back? From the way you describe it, Doctor, the problem is still there. Isn't there a more permanent solution we can think of?"

The doctor shook his head. "Number One rule of Psychiatry, kids. You can never cure anyone; every disease we cure, is one that originates in them themselves. The best thing we've given him is an extra chance." he said solemnly.

"You've eliminated the root of the problem taking nest in his mind. While yes, it is possible, maybe likely that it'll start again... we have to hope that he'll take his second chance and fix whatever caused it. Maybe come to terms with himself, get a higher amount of self esteem. Who knows, maybe injuring his ID may be a good thing; he'll be able to get a logical perspective on things for once."

OoC: I apologize for not posting here for a while.

IC: After stretching out, Heikichi returned to the group. Apparently, the others have already returned and were having a conversation with the doctor. After quietly listening, he decided to speak.

"So Jackson-san is gonna be okay right sensei? We hurt his tree monster friend really bad..."

James looked at Stephen and felt pity towards him. I don't think he would have lasted very long if it weren't for us. James heard what Heikichi said and replied "I'm sure Stephan will be fine, like the doctor said it was a good thing that his Id took the form of a regenerating tree."

James looked back over a Stephen and thought I hope the doctor was right about that.

Ooc: Sorry for the short post, I'm having writer's block

Stephen nodded and got up. "I'm sure he'll be fine. All he needs is some rest."

There was a shimmer as Rosharsh appeared by Seinhem's shoulder, a slightly obscured ball of light like always, as the Doctor yawned.

"It's been a long day, I think? You've been in his body for several hours...I think, perhaps, it is time to turn in for the night?" he said with a smile. "Rest is the best possible thing for the mind, after all. As Espers, that is my first piece of solid advice I will give you- rest often, and rest well."
