The girl giggled at the questions, and raised her eyebrow. "Easy question." She responded to Zenon. "The one you killed was the 'root' so to speak. It controlled the influx of power and whatnot. So they DID have power of the foliage and trees previously, but since you displaced the larger one..." She let the question dangle. She glanced at David.

"As for what will I do? Well..." he voice turned sweet again. "We'd live here of course. That's all we really want, a place to live." She pouted a little. "But these ones... they wanted us to go! They fought us, attacked us, they got seemingly controlled the entire world against us... so there's no choice, see, but to get rid of them." She said with a giggle.

Markus was being silent as he watched the proceedings. He shifted awkwardly, and one of the elfish creatures snarled at him. He stood up straighter, but blinked when he noticed that there was a scaly biped creature behind him, and staggered a little.

The biped nodded sagely, and Markus instantly recognized it as the pidgeon/hedghog that had been following him around, in yet another shape. "This seems o-off..." Markus muttered. The draconian creature chuckled, and responded in the voice of an eight year old.

"Ya think?" it said sarcastically. "This is someone's inner mind. Nothing's ever easy when you're talking brain surgery. And this is SYMBOLIC brain surgery."

Enough of this crap. Seriously.

"From the way you describe it, little Queen, you want to live here.... and these creatures are the natural inhabitants of this here habitat. So, the way it seems to me is..." I stepped closer to the little witch with each phrase. I was almost in front of her, about five feet away by now.

"...you are, in fact, the invaders, attacking these creatures. And if that is the case, I for one cannot stand by and help you eliminate these creatures simply so you can take their home away. If you have any points to dispute with me... I'd suggest you state your case, now."

"I agree with her" James said, raising his sword. "I thought that something was strange about you and I started to think 'what if these guys are the invaders'. Good to know I'm not the only one."

James noticed the creatures around the group preparing themselves to defend their queen. James looked at the queen and readied himself to attack. I have to act fast and not give them a chance to defend her. One swing is all it takes James thought. Vitex raised his wings and whisppered in James' ear. "Are you sure about this?" He asked. Positive.

As I awaited her response, a lot of thoughts were going through my head. Now, that might seem a little weird to you, because if you think about it, this whole experience is all in our heads. But, whatever.

This "Queen"... maybe this is why the man has been having problems lately.

I looked down at Fuzzy. He whispered to me, so only I could hear what he said.

"Katy... we're in danger. We are most definitely in danger. Prepare yourself..."

OoC: I really don't want this to die. It's actually kind of an awesome story. BlazingHydra, if you don't have a lot of time to work on this RP, would it be alright for me to take over, or Co-Own it or something?

(OOC: Actually yeah, that'd be great Feret. My biggest issue is that we seemed to lose 80% of the RPers somewhere along the line.)

"My case?" the queen hissed, her voice suddenly sounding much more reptilian. "Why should I have to state my case to you?" She growled, as the very earth started to rumble beneath her feet. "I created these people- MY people... though my own sweat and blood!" She growled. "We've been pressganged, and attacked, and drawn into small corners, but we survive. We survive because we are dominant. We are more important than the rest of this puny little forest- we are The Stresse!" She growled loudly, as the trees near them groaned and bent in half, as if her very presence was too much to bare. "... And if you think that you will defy me..." she snarled at them. "Then you will meet the same fate as all the rest!"

ooc: Try PMing all others in this and hopefully they'll get back into it

"Just because you think you're dominant doesn't give you the right to determine what lives and what dies!" shouted Zenon, "It's because of people with you're mentality that there are genocides and wars! C'mon Huren, we're going to take these things down a peg!"

At this, hoards of Streese ran in from all sides. The blades extended from Zenon's gauntlets, and he took off with his wings, charging through the enemy ranks, slicing body after body, charging right for the queen.

The Queen cackled as the rest of the Stresse seemed to come out of nowhere. They attacked in great swarms, falling form the trees like there was an unlimited amount of them. She cackled slightly, her hair whipped around in some sort of invisible breeze, as the earth cracked beneath her. A great, red root shot out of the ground, opening at the tip to reveal a circular, fanged worm-like mouth. A second appeared flanking the queen's other side, and three more appeared evenly around that, making a five-pointed pattern around her.

She grinned as her eyes were lit with red ominously.

James cut through the stresse that surrounded him and lunged and the queen. He was knocked back as five giant worms-root-things sprung from the ground. The closest one struck James, but he managed to dodge and swing his sword at the worm. James only managed to scrape the skin of the worm as it recoiled and lunged at him, ready to bite his head off. James only just dodged it. He winced as his leg was cut by one of it's teeth. James decided to take a long range approach and ran away. After he was at a safe distance he launched and airwave that cut through one of the worms.

It fell to the ground and continued to writhe a little before finally dieing. James hadn't noticed the stresse sneaking up behind him. It jumped on his back and clawed at his face, but it was not match for James on his own and James threw it off and stabbed it with his sword. Then he began slashing at the other stresse coming towards him.

David's eyes widened, his expression rapidly changing from impassive and thoughtful to shocked and horrified. The blade of his small sword seemed to shrink as if the blade itself was afraid. David's first instinct was to flee, but the swarming creatures made carrying out this thought impossible. Several of the stresse, or whatever they were, surrounded him, and without thinking, he swung his sword at the nearest one. The blade extended moments into the swing, striking the creature, but David didn't bother to pat himself on the back and instead spun around to attack two of the others, which had begun attacking his legs.

Operating almost entirely on instinct, David leapt up, doing an acrobatic backflip in mid air and landing behind his attackers. He blinked, dimly aware of what he had just done, but again didn't bother taking the time to pat himself on the back for the feat.

"Warn us before you do that!" the snake's left head said weakly in a more effeminate tone, looking rather green, no pun intended.

"Sorry," David muttered, readying himself for a counterattack from the stresse.

Just as I expected. Finally, this act is over, and we can get to the good stuff. I was gonna enjoy smashing the little two-faced witch's head in.

Before I could get my mitts on the midget, these giant Red-Worm things crashed through the earth around her, blocking me from striking her. One of the worm heads lunged at me, and I felt the marks on my legs glowing up again. My muscles tensed up once more, and I jumped back quickly as adrenaline kicked in.

I gotta say, I'm starting to like this ESP'er thing. Grabbing Fuzzy as I stepped back, I placed him safely in my shirt as I decided to try out that dagger. It wavered back and forth wildly, and I had to struggle to keep it in my hand. The Stresse came charging at us, and as a small group of 'em ran at me, I could sense the dagger's will.

"Whatever you say, blade..." I let it take control of my hand. I felt its will coursing through my body, and it seemed to take control. Once I let it, it stopped wavering around, and I felt my body being pulled like a puppet. The dagger flew straight ahead at a Stresse, piercing its carapace straight through, and my arm followed. My legs automatically moved, smashing through a couple more Stresse behind me. My free hand laid on the ground, and my body tumbled over -- doing a cartwheel, I landed upon another Stresse. My body swiftly grabbed it and threw it at another two of the creatures.

Cool. I have a dagger that can possess me and turn me into a really kick-butt fighter.

OoC: I guess I'll get back into this.

IC: Heikichi looked in shock as everyone around began fighting the forest people. With a hesitant look on his face, he took out his staff and got into a defensive stance.

"We don't have to fight! Why can't we just talk about this?" Heikichi pleaded as he started to punt off some of the charging creatures.

Kipo already sensed the fight coming. She started to freeze some of the creatures' feet to the ground and knock them out with a smack across the face. Some came from behind and she set those ones on fire, causing them to run around widly, setting some of their compatriots on fire as well.

Markus' eyes widened as he fended off an attack from a raging Stresse with his rather cumbersome weapon, slashing at it clumsily and only managing to rip apart an entirely different Stresse that wasn't attacking him. He found himself quietly apologizing to the ones he hurt under his breath, and told himself to stop doing that.

One approached from behind; he struck it between the eyes with the shaft of the bladed weapon. He glanced over his shoulder and saw a lion-like creature with Hedgehog-quills; his ally had obviously seen fit to change forms once again. His companion was faring much better than he; he roared every so often, which either reduced nearby Stresse to ash, destroyed themoutright, or froze time when he pounced and tore them to pieces. Then again, he lion was also attracting a lot of attention, with Stresse circling it as much as they could without being torn apart.

The Queen cackled slightly, as she lifted her palm; in it, a red orb appeared. She gave a small girlish giggle, and tossed the sphere towards the Esper's, only to be shocked as a tree limb batted it out of the way. The orb soared through the air before landing in a farther patch of the forest, causing it to be bathed in red light for a moment. The trees and foliage of the destroyed area seemed to have been completely decimated, returned to the state of an angry red blot on the ground.

David gritted his teeth and shot Heikichi a brief glare of exasperation. "Because, kid, if you don't fight you could die. Do you want to die? Didn't think so..." he grunted as several of the Stresse charged towards him, and he swung his sword at the closest ones, but more rapidly came to fill the ranks almost as fast as he got rid of them. "This isn't working very well," he grumbled, doing another acrobatic flip away from the overwhelming swarm.

"Stop doing that!" the left head whined, gagging.

"Tough it up, Toxic!" the right head hissed.

David growled under his breath. Now if only he could remember how to use that ice effect...

I let out a gasp as I watched the red orb cause its destruction. We were lucky that one of those tree branches blocked the hit for us. I looked over, and it looked as if that tiny orb decimated a pretty large area of the forest.

The Stresse were all around us still. My dagger was still controlling my body, and now it was slashing through a lot of the plant-things. I almost felt bad for them... Mindless soldiers under the control of a psychotic little witch of a Queen. I wanted to go after her and pound her, but I knew that would be difficult to do, especially with these Stresse all around. I planted my foot in one of their faces, using it as leverage to jump up and drop kick another one. Fuzzy peeked out from my blouse, meowing quietly to himself.

"Katy, careful... worry about the Stresse, but make sure you keep an eye on the Queen, too..."

"I know that, Fuzzy. We'll be fine." Ironically, I tripped right after I said that.

OOC: Sorry for my absence. I recently had my computer privelages... um... limited due to my own folly. I'm going to post now though, and try to get back into it.

When Akashic saw the monsters he looked straight in their eyes. They were weak, dying even. They looked terrible. The queen and her followers on the other hand, were in perfect condition. It was at that moment in time he realized the truth of what was really going on. A little too late. The other Esper's outburst enraged the queen and she lashed out at them, her minions all falling in from behind. He was nocked back into the bushes, where he quickly scrambled to get up. It was at this moment where he realised his biggest weakness in this dimension: He was still an un-armed. The others all seemed to have a weapon of some kind. He had a book. With out any other options, he began swinging the book at the on-comeing creatures as they swarmed.

"God this is impossible! Can't you do anything to help me, you stupid book!" Then, an all to familiar giggle came. "My do you look silly." Akashic spun around, only to see Scrill stand... er... floating there, in a interested school girl pose. "You again?" He smacked another stresse warrior away from him. "You know you could just just use your sword. that book isn't going to do much" This got his attention. he deflected the last few warriors persueing him and hid behind a tree. "What do you mean?" she floated over and pointed to his necklace. "I mean that"

Akashic looked at the shiny feather necklace. He never once thought of it as being a weapon. Looking back on it though, it did seem to have the same weird vibe as the book did. "How do I use it?" he asked. "Simple, just place you hand over it and call it." Call to it? what did she mean by that? Unfortunatly, he didn't have time to ponder her words. he placed his palm on it. it felt cool, but refreshing somehow. "um, Activate?" It started to glow and within seconds he had a silver quill in his hand. "What am I supposed to do, draw on them? I could barely kill and ant with this. I need something bigger," suddenly, it glowed again and grew into a remotely hefty blade. "Woah! ok, now we're getting somewhere." When the sword entered his hand he felt a rush of something new enter his mind: Power.

He jumped out of the bushes and cleaved in half 3 stresse in a row, leaving a shimmering silver trail of light as he did. He was fast in doing so as well. Faster than he should've been. "You know, mabye this isn't so bad after all." He swung the blade proudly, showing it's shine while Scrill cheered him on in the side lines.

As Zenon charged through the air, the red worm things burst from the ground and cause him to pull straight up into the air. He looked around at the battle below, and he noticed that the Stresse seemed to be coming from the trees themselves. There were eight very large trees encircling the clearing, and the Streese seemed to emerge right from the bark. Suddenly two of the worms came around and headed for Zenon. He took his blades and just before the worms would get him, he dropped just enough so that the two worms would crash into each other. After they connected, he thrust each blade into one of the necks of the worms, and their momentum ended up tearing their entire bodies to shreads.

"Now to get back to that queen," he thought, once again charging for the girl.

The Queen frowned as she saw two of her worm guards die, and shrugged slightly, as she gestured her hand at two trees, who were immediately bathed in red. The odd trees contorted and stretched, their branches seeming to bunch together into a bulb at the top before reaching down and each eating a single unsuspecting Stresse that wandered near them; the humanoid creatures shrieked as the carnivorous trees consumed them, evidently using the resulting nourishment to complete their evolution, becoming red worms like the others with hungry, circular mouths. They dug under the ground and popped back up, guarding the Queen.

Markus continued to fend off the Stresse, as he noticed he was getting dangerously near the queen. He quickly fended off a bite from a guard-worm that got too near, taking a frenzied swipe at it. The blade cut into the worm's flesh only slightly, though it howled as the skin around it seemed to petrify into aged wood before crumbling into nothing, revealing a hole punched into the worm's side. It hissed like a snake before diving again.

Markus blinked as the worm was tackled aside by the strange creature that kept following him, which by now was resembling a bipedal, brownish iguana. It hissed and bore its fangs before ripping out the throat of the dying worm with a sound similar to crunching branches; The worm fought for a second more, and was then quiet.

The Queen scowled a little, and raised her arm again, only to quickly jump to the side; she glanced over at her attacker, and noticed with some surprise that the tree nearest to her had spontaneously grown a long, spiky branch apparently to hit her with.

Heikichi and Kipo had managed to dispose of the Streeses around them. Heikichi saw that the queen had Markus cornered and took it upon himself to help him out.

"Kipo! Let's do the Super Comet!" Heikichi called out to Kipo. Kipo nodded and tapped herself with her wand. Immediately, she was surrounded with an icy shield that covered a sphere around her. Heikichi mounted Kipo at the end of his staff and vaulted her directly at the the queen like an icy cannonball. Kipo bounced the queen's protective worm guards and stunned them.

"Yea! Good job Kipo!" Heikichi cheered as Kipo returned back.

Heikichi's attack hit and stunned the worms just long enough for Zenon to swoop through their defense shouting, "Thanks Heikichi!!"and plunge his blade deep into the queens chest.

"This is what you get when you try to become the judge of life and death," he said into her ear, and with a quick flick of his wrist, the blade came out her side like a warm knife through butter. He then noticed that all the worm monsters were flailing around, shrieking with pain, and all the Streese had fallen to their knees and curled into the fetal position.

"She must have been controlling them all from the start..." mumbled Zenon.

ooc: If anyone finds the to be somewhat Godmodding, just tell me and I'll dumb it down, I'm just trying to advance the story on a little faster.

I watched as the little Magician-ish guy launched himself at the Queen's wall, parting them long enough for one of the Swordaman-esque guys to launch himself at the little Witch, cutting through her.

"Yes! Little Witch got what was comin' to her!" I raised my fist in the air, a sign of victory over the evil little girl. She let out a scream that was like sugar to my ears, right before the Wor type things began to fall around me.

"Katy! Watch out, jeez! I'm gonna get crushed if you're not careful!" Fuzzy spoke up from my shirt, screeching a little as his voice wafted up into my ears. I decided quickly that I wanted to get a good look at the little Queen, so I began running up the Worms as they fell to the ground.

Let's see what she looks like up close, the little Witch.

James had just cut the head of a stresse clean off when he heard a screem. He noticed that the stresse around him had huddled up into fetal positions. James swivled on his heel and saw Zenon standing over the queen. She was lying on the floor, dead. James sheathed his blade and walked over to the queen. "Good job" He said as Vitex landed on his shoulder and asked "What happens now?" "Now we leave." james paused and thought for a while before finally asking "Anyone know how we get out of here?"

The Queen's body twitched on the ground as blood flowed from her wounds. She glared hatefully at the ESPers. "You... you filthy, filthy invading creatures..." she mumbled, a little bit of blood flowing from under her lip. "What right do you have to come here? To slaughter me and my kin... You call us invaders, and yet, we were born herein this very forest. What right gives you to say that the Guardians of this forest shall live, but we don't?" she said with a dry rasp. She seemed to be drying out. She chuckled a little sadly. "It doesn't matter. It doesn't matter... nothing matters..." she muttered, fading away as the dust flowed into the breeze.

Markus nearly collapsed onto his weapon. "Is it... FINALLY over yet?" he said, out of breath. The small animal that followed him, now once again in hedgehog shape, climbed up on his shoe.

"I think it goes without saying that they were the Stress the Doctor mentioned." the hedgehog said nonchalantly, with a genderly ambiguous voice. "So with that done, you leave the same way you came, do you not?" he said with a chuckle, just as the sky before them seemed to bulge, and crack in two. A massive partitian was seen in the sky, and through flowed a massive amount of light. If one looked closely, they could see the faintest shape of a massive, shadowed figure, like a human giant, next to what seemed to be a light fixture. You could even see the faintest hint of a ceiling and wall.

"I believe that's our ride." the hedgehog said, bemused.

I looked up to the sky. For a second, I thought it was the rapture or something. Were we gonna be crushed by some kind of divine intervention for killing the little Witch?

Then I remembered that we were in someone's mind. I sighed a little, letting myself feel a little bit of relief. Looking down to Fuzzy, I scratched him behind his ears.

"Alright Katy, looks like you're headed back home. See ya later..."

David blinked. The end of the fight had come so abruptly, but he shouldn't have surprised that eliminating the queen would have been the method of victory. He looked at the sky's rift and frowned. "How do we actually leave?"

"Good, you're done doing backflips," Toxic muttered.

"He could try backflipping to the rift, Venom," the other head muttered. David sighed. They had changed names again.

"Why don't I just label you two so you stop confusing me?" he muttered. He pointed at the left head. "Toxic, female." Then to the other, "Venom, male."

"That doesn't make sense. We have one body, so how are we different genders?" Venom argued.

"I dont want to be female," Toxic complained.

"Fine, both male," David relented, trying to satisfy both complaints.

"I thought we're female." Venom argued. David facepalmed.

"I think I'm having a dream again..." he sighed.

Markus blinked as he staggered forward after noticing the great light. He blinked as a small glowing platform appeared underneith his foot. He paused, and experimentally put another foot upward, a second platform appearing a little higher, creating a staircase. "Uhm, I think this is how..." he said, as he walked up the staircase that formed underneath him.

The two wooded creatures that had been so weakened stirred. The centaur blinked, and looked up. "What... are you?" he said, in a daze, to the group.
