Hydra of Ages
Welcome to the third incarnation of Mindscape. Now that I'm back from vacation, I've decided to remake this. If you were involved before, you're allowed to grab your old Character from the old Mindscape thread. You can find the link by checking my profile for all of my Threads, I don't have many. Note that Advanced Clause is invoked for this RP, and I reserve the right to disallow any applicants for any reason. [spoiler=Prologue]2250 BC- Egyptian Carvings detail a meteor impact west of the Nile River. The ancient Egyptians worshiped this stone as a gift of the gods, and used it as an item of great power; It existed until the the discover's son ascended to Pharaoh-hood, erasing all mentions of his father from the Obelisks and Shrines and tossing the signature stone away to prevent it from ever being found. 356 BC- A Meteorite impacted within the city bounds of Pella, capital of the Macedon kingdom of Greece. A child born on the same day as the impact would grow to become Alexander the Great. The Meteorite was offered at a temple to Neptune by a nameless man, and thrown into the sea, never to be recovered. 1902 AD- A Meteorite impacted in Alsfeld, and was apprehended for research by the German Military, along with three children who witnessed the crash. Of the three children, two were never heard from again. The third grew up to pilot the German Military's Telekinetic and Psychokinetic Research Division, in order to examine the possibility of developing Tele or Psychkinetic abilities for use in World War II in reconnaissance missions or for Brainwashing purposes. The Meteor was destroyed on orders of High Command upon the surrender of Germany. Of these three incidents, all had something in common; At least one of those involved with the sighting off the odd Meteor developed telekinetic abilities which allowed them to either rule, conquer, or for their own personal gain. This seemingly rare gift, however, is spreading; People are awakening with Psychic abilities, but strangely, only those between the ages of 10 and 22. What causes this? What is the secret of the Meteor? Perhaps we shall find out... [spoiler=Story]Hello, and welcome. You've been chosen for a special job by the famous Doctor Seinhem, at his Clinic of Medical Psychotherapy. The Good Doctor seeks out those with promising, young mental abilities, and through his unique training regiment, allows you to control them. Now, we understand not all of you come from 'Conventional' backgrounds- That doesn't matter to us! The Good Doctor will provide homes, and all the basic necessities for learning. All he asks of his pupils, is for them to join him on special jobs of his own devising, made for the betterment of their minds. [spoiler=Information]Telekinetic abilities are generally similar to eachother- Common Psychic abilities are listed below. Every character has all of the following abilities, plus additional ones they may learn. --Scan--Scanning is the simplest Psychic Ability, and can be used almost without knowing. While scanning, you pick up the surface thoughts of everyone around you, but you can't actively search for information to learn. People can block their minds from being Scanned if they are strong enough, and other Psychics are generally immune. --General Kinesis--General Kinesis is the name for low-class Psychokinetic abilities, and are generally the first learned by a developing Psychic. General Kinesis includes moving objects, causing friction (even small amounts of fire), manipulating temperature/weather patterns (though not very noticably), and very occasionally teleportation. These abilities are often very exhausting, and not very powerful. Teleportation is the rarest ability, and can almost kill the user due to the effort it takes; The Good Doctor advises to use caution if you happen to be lucky enough to posses the talent for teleportation. --Astral Projection--Astral Projection is the first 'complex' ESP ability, and is generally the sign of a developed ESPer. It involves the user separating from their mind, becoming a ghost-like apparition that only other Psychics can see, while leaving their body in a Coma-like state. While Projected, you can move through objects and people, however your mind will still think you are solid (you can still die of shock if you are hit by a bus, while projected, for example). While Astral-Projected, your General Kinesis abilites are HEAVILY increased, and often specialized. However, you ability fades the farther away from your body you go.There are other aspects of Astral Projection that will be discussed by Dr.Seinhem early in the RP; however, the main aspect is Entering other's Minds. --Entering the Mind---Entering someone's mind is usually the point of Astral Projection. While in their mind, you will be present in their "MindScape", which is a physical representation of their inner mind. This differs wildly from person to person, but is often dangerous- Luckilly, you have three weapons. The ID- Your ID is your Weapon while in an Astral-Projected state. It is a physical weapon, differing radically between individual subjects, and often seems to have a mind of its own. One has to be careful while controlling it, lest it control you. Your ID is the solidified form of your animal instincts. The Ego- Your Ego is a set of special Aspects granted to you upon appearing in Astral form. They may be, for example, wings that grant you flight, or even a scarf that lets you regenerate from wounds. It's different for everyone, but it is usually a defensive or passive abilities that has little do do with harming an enemy. The SuperEgo- Your Super-Ego is your helper while in an Astral-Projected state. Usually, it is an animal or mythological creature, but it is occasionally a humanoid also. The SuperEgo will fight with you and for you, and will generally help you and provide support- However, if you OR your Superego die, you will also; your Superego is a portion of your own mind and soul, not a seperate being on its own. SuperEgo are generally loyal, and there hasn't been one on record that purposely does anything to hurt their master. [spoiler=Signup]Name: (Character Name)Age: (Between 10 and 22)Physical Appearance: (Pic or Descrip.)Bio: (What is your character's past? How did he discover his abilities? How was he contacted by the Good Doctor?)Personality: (How does your character act?)ID: Your character's weapon while in Astral Form. Give a pic or description, and what abilities it has. IDs also have animalistic personalities, so describe what they are like.)Egos: (An article of Clothing, Armor, Weapon or extra appendage (such as a wing) that grants your character's special abilities while in Astral form. Do they use Pyrokinesis, or are more fond of Electrokinesis? Can they regenerate? Can they fly? Teleport? Throw heavy objects? No godmodding abilities.)Superego: (Your Character's Superego companion. Can be an animal, or humanoid. Also give their powers, weapons (if applicable) and physical description.) [spoiler= Rules & RP Info]You're a youth who just discovered he has Psychic abilities. You've been contacted by a Psychiatrist whose' shown interest with people with your abilities. What happens next? Well, we'll see.Rules are simple. No god modding, I highly discourage script format, and I withhold the right to reject people if I want. Note that all character will be placed in the 'Personalities' section, including NPCs (which I will control for the most part). [spoiler=Personalities]Name: Doctor F. Seinhem (Controlled by Blazinghydra)Age: 47Physical Appearance: Dark haired man with a thin beard. Has short black hair, dark blue eyes, and a sharp looking face, a bit like an Eagle. Wears a thin pair of spectacles, and always seems to be thinking of something. Tall, about 6'5, wearing a long white lab-coat, often carrying various psychiatric instruments in his pockets.Bio: Allegedly a normal Psychiatrist from Canada, now apparently working for the American Military. He looks for those that show signs of ESP, and teaches them how to develop it. How does he know about it? Does he have the gift himself? Why does he want to help the others? Nobody knows...Personality: Smarmy, cunning, Seinhem always has a foxlike air about him. It's almost impossible to show him up, and he's nigh impossible to get him to show emotion he doesn't want to. He's not particularly compassionate, but neither is he cruel, like a good boss or a teacher. Name: Markus Emato (Controlled by Blazinghydra)Age: 17Physical Appearance: Somewhat tall and lanky, roughly 6'3 with short black hair that often gets into his eyes. He wears and old black Denim jacket he is partial too, with a plain white dress shirt and neat black pants. His eyes are a dark green, and he generally avoids eye contact. His shoes are polished black dress shoes, like one woulld expect as part of a private school's dress code.Bio:Markus was always more of a shy child, with few friends. He wasn't a loner, of sorts, but he simply didn't get along with most other people, due to his shy temperament. He was deathly afraid of being ostracized, even more so than he actually was, and didn't realize until much later that he heard voices that nobody else did. Over the years, the voices slowly seemed to come into focus, as he realized he could hear what others said.Fearing this development, but intrigued at the same time, Markus lived semi-normally with these fully-matured voices in his head, occasionally using them to cheat on a test at school, or for any other similar purpose. However, the stress began to get to him, as others seemed to wonder. Slowly buckling under the stress, the final straw broke when Markus awoke one day, and found that he could look down at his body.Shocked and scared, even after returning to his body, Markus was never quite the same. Even more withdrawn and silent now, he got a massive fever that no doctor could seemingly cure. He met with several Psychiatrists, but even if they managed to weasel the truth from Markus' silent lips, they didn't believe it.Or so Markus thought, anyway. Through some manner, one other Psychiatrist had gotten wind of him- a certain Frederick Seinhem.Personality: Markus is shy, often doesn't like speaking in crowds, but paradoxically likes being around people at the same time. He is emotionally weak, and prone to outbursts when prodded enough, but also feels an inclination to bottle things up at the same time. He has very little self confidence, and often needs prodding to do anything at all. He is prone to idol-worship on a small scale, often latching onto a nearby person he looks up to for protection and friendship.ID: A halberd made out of a metal; A long metal pole, about six and a half feet in height, with a metal cleaver affixed to the tip along with a spearhead. The weapon seems to change in size depending upon Markus' needs and moods at the time, and glows more brightly when its wielder is more determined. Being struck with the weapon inflicts the stricken enemy with the Curse of Aging, with the effects deepening with how deep the cut is. The Curse ages the victim's body around the wound, weakening their circulatory and immune systems, and making them feeble in that area. The curse will wear off after the inflicted has gotten a certain distance away from the weapon, or if Markus exits Astral Form. The weapon is quite malicious, and revels in causing pain, to the point of encouraging its wielder to fight.Egos: While in Astral Form, Markus has a pocket watch on a chain that contains the power of his Ego. This watch can be set to any time, and will release an amount of healing energy proportionate to the number it was set to, onto its wearer. If set to a low number, the watch will regularly bleed small amounts of healing into its wearer at frequent intervels. If set to a high number, it will bleed large amounts of healing energy, but with a longer timeframe between each 'tick'. Unlike most Egos, Markus can remove this and give it to others, although he can also call it back to himself at any time.Superego: Markus' SuperEgo is a bronze Wyvern, slightly taller than him and about twice as wide at maximum width. Its name is Aeon, and seemes perpetually confused about the state of time, verb tenses, and even its own gender. Its shape is often in flux, switching from humanoid to beast shapes seemingly at random; only when Markus is not scared or in a fragile emotional state, can it return to its usual Wyvern shape. It has huge wings extending from its arms that have a wingspan of nearly ten feet, whose' feathers can become razer-sharp at will.Aeon's offensive capabilities include is Temporal Fire, which allows him to age or reverse an opposing enemy or attack, enhanced physical strength, and a cunning mind that often seems misplaced in the confused creature. Name: David Hestler (Controlled by evilfusion)Age: 18Appearance: Average build. Not particular muscular, but not weak either. Has black hair down to his neck and emerald green eyes. Wears blue jeans and a black, unbuttoned jacket over a green T-shirt that matches his eyes.Bio: David lived with his grandparents after his parents died in a car accident. He first discovered his powers when walking through the mall and realizing he could hear the thoughts of others. He kept the knowledge to himself and exploited it on several occasions, usually to avoid trouble in school or with his grandparents. David managed to accidentally astral project himself once, but on returning to hs body, dismissed the experience as a dream. He received a letter in the mail from a psychiatrist only a short time later.Personality: Very serious and laidback, prefers small groups to avoid picking up a bombardment of thoughts, which he finds distracting. Not a loner, but not particularly outgoing. Clever and not afraid of proving it. Can be quite scathing or sarcastic when he feels like it.ID: A small sword with a jeweled handle. The blade of the sword is capable of using elemental powers and the length of the sword extends or retracts whenever 'hostile' or 'afraid', respectively. Egos: A black hooded cape that allows him to perform acrobatical maneuvers and a blue scarf worn over his mouth that slowly heals injuries.Superego: A two headed green snake that often rides coiled around his arm. The two heads have different personalities and squabble frequently over anything and everything, including things they previously had agreed upon. They refer to themselves as Venom and Toxic, but seem indecisive on who is which and also which head is a particular gender. The heads and body regenerate if damaged, as long as one head remains intact. David met them briefly during his accidental projection. Name: Heikichi Murasame (Controlled by Otaku-San)Age: 12Physical Appearance: Bright red hair down to his calves tied into a ponytail. Red eyes the same colour as his hair. Pale skin. Thin frame.Bio: Heikichi first discovered his abilities when he was 4. He would often project himself without even knowing it, stressing his parents almost to the point of nervous breakdown on multiple occasions due to the comatose state during astral projection. He befriended his SuperEgo, Kipo, like a kid would befriend an imaginary friend. As he grew older, he learned to control his astral projection. By the time he was 9, he was flying around with his SuperEgo and reading his friend's minds. He would often project himself during class so he could explore, but despite not paying attention, he always did decent in class. When Dr. Seinhiem got word of a kid who went back and forth from a coma, he knew that Heikichi was an ESPer. He contacted his parents, claiming to be an government official and took Heikichi from his home.Personality: He is very sheltered and naive. He is quite cheery, but prefers to be in his projected state.ID: His weapon is a bo staff. It grows as he grows, constantly maintaining the optimal fighting length. It is very mischievous and often bounces away from Heikichi to cause trouble.Egos: Heikichi can fly and perform complicated aerial manouvers while projected.Superego: His super ego is named Kipo. Kipo takes the form of a small fairy like humanoid. Kipo controls fire and ice through her wand. She is Heikichi's constant companion and while projected, Heikichi and Kipo are inseperable. Name: Zarkus Syuren (Controlled by Nightmare Zarkus)Age: 16Physical Appearance:Bio: Lived your typical life until he discovered his powers at the age of 10. No terrible past, but the Good Doctor took note of his immense potential. He "befriended" the Orochi shortly after, if you would call it that. The Orochi doesn't particularly like him, although he acknowledges Zarkus's proficiency at using his abilities.Personality: Usually a cheerful person when you get to know him, but otherwise keeps to himslfID: Dual-Wielding 1890s pistols that allow him to channel one power of the Orochi each. Unlike Zarkus, the pistols keep to themselves and are usually quiet.Egos: The shoes that he gains in this form allow him to float midair, and teleport.Superego: Orochi, the gigantic 8 headed serpent. Possesses the powers of Light, Darkness, Fire, Water, Earth, Lightning, Chaos, and Order. Chaos is basically a "burst attack" that allows him to fire his other power at 2 times its normal strength, but is hard to control. In contrast, Order gives him a larger amount of control over the other power, but weakens it. Upon merging with Zarkus, all of these powers are fully granted to him. Saved as a last ditch effort however, as he can only hold it for a short amount of time and it injures his body in the process. Name: James Ventus (Controlled by Master Mave II)Age: 20Physical Appearance: Average height with short black hair, dull blue eyes and pale skin. Wears black jeans and a dark red shirt with a spiral on the front and backBio: James never got one very well with others, prefering to remain alone with his own thoughts. He was playing chess with himself one day, but when he went to move one of the pieces it shot away. James then realised he had psychic powers. He began practising and was quite good at using his powers when he got a letter from Dr.Seinhem.Personality: James is quiet and calm, even in the most stressful situations and prefers to be alone. He will allways help people in need and never do anything to endanger the lives of others. He is always scanning for potential threats.ID: A longsword that, when swung, can create strong winds strong enough to send people flying a couple of feet and can make the wind dense enough to become solid adding strength to his attacks. His longsword will only use it's power if the attack is intended to harm, or kill the opponent.Egos: A locket that can hold his superego (James knows that when his superego dies so does he and therefore tries to keep it safe). The locket can also be used to take in air so that James can breathe under water.Superego: A White hawk called Vitex that has the same powers as James' ID and can merge with James and give him wing that allow him to fly. While in this form James has more control over the wind to the point that he can create copies of himself out of densified air (though they have no powers other than flight) Name: Rjoury Bosa (Anime-Manga Lover)Age: 15Physical Appearance: [spoiler=me] Bio: His father died before he was born and his mother died right as he was born. He was sent directly to an orpanage and was barely even treated human. For no reason he was treated with violence. It seamed that everyone hated him and wanted no part of his friendship. Everybody turned their backs and only gave him enough to survive. As he grew into a child he hated everything around him and everything hated him. He ran away as a teen and survived on his suprising survival instincts. Now, as an early adult, he is in great condition and is very deadly. He discovered his abilities not long ago in a battle against a bear that almost had him killed. The doctor contacted him by entering his mind and leaving a message that he received in a dream.Personality: Cruel and Ruthless.ID: His ID is a giant, 5' long, double sided katana with electric and fire abilities. Sometimes it will unstiffen and try to attack its holder like a snake would.Egos: He has chest plating that gives him 100% protection over his torso and a back part to it that does the same. It looks like samuri armor and can only be removed by a SuperEgo.Superego: His SuperEgo is a giant blood-red bear that has the same personality as Rjoury. Its abilities are fire, as you can tell by his color. And this bear has remarkably strong, not to mention long, claws and jaws. Name: Zachary Alexander Newfound AKA “Akashic”Age: 17 but has a older mentalityPhysical Appearance: Black Hair, Blue eyes, Wearing a Gray Zip up Hoodie, Tan Cargo Pants and White T-shirt with Gray strips going down the left side. CaucasianBio: James, A former junior at the top of his class, he was always gifted with an above average intelligence. But despite his heightened intelligence, he never stood out. He had about 3 friend-like companions but even they thought he was a bit bland and un-exciting. One day he decided to go out for walk, and got caught up in an intense storm. He woke up 3 Days later in a park in San Francisco with no idea who he was, clutching a quill and a blank gray notebook. All he could remember was one word that kept playing in his head: Akashic. A few days later, he discovered his power when he somehow was able to fully repair a broken down Cable car on live TV without having any previous knowledge of the such. After words he received information of a Psychiatric doctor who specializes in “Unusual” mental cases. Feeling his couldn't get much more unusual, he left in search of the doctor and possibly his lost memories.Personality: Slightly confused he’s often lost in thought, trying to figure out who he is. He can be a bit cold, but he doesn’t mean it. He’s just a bit out of place.ID: A Silver Feather quill that can grow into a feather like sword. He can use the quill to write special enchantments anywhere that have various effects. At a certain point his Powers will "evolve", and he will be able to turn his ID into a pair of silver wings, allowing him to fly while drawing multiple feather quills. The quill will sometimes develop a will of it’s own, randomly taking over Akashic’s arm. When it does so, it will attempt to attack any one it perceives as a threat using his usual attacks and some he doesn’t yet know. When not active, it takes the shape of a silver feather necklace.Egos: A Gray Note book with strange scripture on the cover known as “The Record”. Using it he can gain access to any bit of information in the world. However, he does not have complete control over it, for it will sometimes access and store irrelevant information without his command and certain pieces of information it will not allow him any access too. He can store up to ten pages (or facts) worth of knowledge in it, using up an entire page for ANY bit of knowledge revolving around a central topic or question. He can only use it once a day by his command and once it exceeds ten pages he must forget something in order to learn something else. When his powers evolve, he will even be able to learn the abilities of past warriors and other people to aid him in battle. It has the ability to grow or shrink at Akashic’s command and is completely indestructible.Superego: Scrill: A strange rat faced fairy-like creature, wearing a scholars robe. It helps him and guides him when he accesses The Records database like a personal secretary and will sometimes appear outside to instruct/annoy him. It is currently unknown if it has any other powers. Side Note: one of the bit’s of information The Record refuses to Acknowledge is whether Scrill is a she or a he, so people usually refer to it as an “it”. Name: Wayne Alex RayAge: 16 Physical Appearance: Wayne is male, having goldish hair and blue eyes. He wears a white jacket outlined with gold with an orange undershirt beneath it. Wayne has blue jeans with white shoes that never seem to get dirty. Wayne is 6'1" and skinny. His appearance changes depending on the time of day. When the moon is out, Wayne's hair turns black, and his eyes resort to a blackish color, too (It is impossible to have black eyes, so the color could be considered brown). Wayne, while in Astral progection, emits a silver glow at night and a golden glow at daytime.Bio: Wayne's parents are a mystery. He cannot remember anything of his life until the exact day he turned 5, and can remember clearly everything after that. Wayne was taken in by two loving parents who cared for him dearly. He would always be nice to others, but had the tendency to spy on those he did not know, just to learn about them before greeting them. As he turned 12, or so he thought, he started to hear weird voices. He would ignore them often, but they continued to bug him, so he started to listen. He learned a few things about other people from these voices. One summer day, Wayne went on a walk. While he was on the walk, everything seemed to freeze, and Wayne then magically appeared in his room. But as if something went wrong, he started to fade in his bedroom, until he was just gone. Later he was found sleeping on the walkway towards his house. Doctor F. Seinhem had contacted Wayne in a dream, and Wayne understood what was happening to him.Personality: Happy and Carefree, but SneakyID: His ID is a bow and arrow carfully crafted with oak. The feathers seem to change color depending on time. When the arrow is released during day, a stream of golden follows the arrow. At night, a silver stream follows the arrow. The arrows do run out, so Wayne has to make more with the help of his SuperEgo. The arrows burn when they hit a target, but go through the target. The arrows seem to guide themselves to the target, and the bow can fire on it's own.Egos: Wayne has a cap that heals just a little while in the sun. It enhances the power of the user at night. The cap can also serve as a conducter for electrical pulses that are small.Superego: Wayne's SuperEgo is a hawk, gigantic in size. The hawk has a 28 feet wingspan, and is about twice the size of Wayne. Wayne usually tries to fly on the bird, but is always rejected by the bird, the bird saying, "You aren't ready yet." The bird gleams golden in the sun, and silver in the night. The feathers on this bird is used with Wayne's arrows. The bird doesn't do much, but gives Wayne knowledge sometimes. The birds eyes spot a lot, and seems to detect things differently than others.

When not active, it takes the shape of a silver feather necklace. Egos: A Gray Note book with strange scripture on the cover known as “The Record”. It has the ability to grow or shrink at Akashic’s command and is completely indestructible. Superego: Scrill: A strange rat faced fairy-like creature, wearing a scholars robe. Hydra of Ages
(OOC: Now. Apologies for the wait, my computer was in the shop for a couple days) Markus tapped his foot as he was in the reception area of a particularly odd Psychiatrist's ward. He had little to conceal his worry, as he glanced down at his old shoes and twiddled his thumbs, looking anywhere but at another person; of which they were few. Markus wasn't an expert on psychiatrists, but he thought they were generally a bit more busy than this. Didn't they have people with daily appointments, or something? He shivered as his worst fears kept playing in his head. The government officials that had accompanied him to the small office made him feel like a criminal. Maybe this Seinhem wasn't going to help him at all. Maybe he was going to cut him up, to figure out how he worked. He shivered a little at that thought; Ever since he had found out he could read other people's minds, he had been afraid about that. In movies, people like that NEVER let the government know... there was never anything good resulting from it. The office was inconspicuous; the perfect place for people to 'disappear'. The sign was worn and tucked out of the way, as if it DIDN'T want to attract people. He wondered how it made enough to stay in action, then realized the government probably payed the doctor to do all sorts of cruel experiments on people like him, to make weapons or learn how to develop against them. He desperately looked around for a way to escape, but didn't see anything. There were no windows, and on the other side of the door was the black van containing the FBI agents. He knew they were from the FBI; they wore fancy suits and dark sunglasses, just so people would find it better to recognize him. Even if they did, they probably had a memory-erasing ray or something like that.
evilfusion
David wandered down a sidewalk, idly checking the address numbers of each building he passed. Every few moments he double checked the letter in his hand, which he had read and re-read dozens of times in the last week. His emerald green eyes scanned the return address of the letter, comparing the line to the street and numbers of the nearest building. There had been no indication of where he was supposed to go at the time and date designated in the letter, but David suspected that a return address was enough to suffice for locating the destination. Finally, he stopped and looked a building over with a critical eye. It was unremarkable and ordinary, to the point of easily forgettable and just as easy to overlook. David inspected the faded address with a frown, shrugging and walking to the door. In retrospect, he probably should have come down here earlier to ask about the letter, but taking the buses here had been annoying enough without doing so earlier in the week. If this place was a dead end, it would be no skin off his nose. If this psychiatrist or whatever was so eager to see him, there were devices called telephones that were far more reliable than mail. David opened the front door, blinking when he found himself in windowless hallway. It was distinctly unsettling, but he shrugged again and continued down it, studying the surprisingly barren walls for some sort of sign to direct him where he was to go. After turning a corner, he finally emerged in what may have been a reception area, but like the hall before it, it appeared almost deserted. Then again, he mused, if it had been actually empty, he would have just left. With a heavy sigh, he trudged over to the reception desk.
Otaku-sama
OoC: Awesome! Let's go!IC: Heikichi sat in the big black SUV that brought him out of school with two men wearing black suits with black ties and black sunglasses. Heikichi sat in the back seat, looking out the window. The SUV drove into a small office on the edge of town, a place Heikichi was not familiar with despite his Astral adventures around town.Heikichi exited the SUV and entered the building. The reception room was much colder than it was outside and Heikichi tried to rub down his goosebumps. He approached the main desk, where a very bored looking secretary sat, filing her nails. Heikichi had to pull himself up to talk to the secretary."Excuse me? Some men took me here and told me to ask for Seinheim-sensei."The secretary looked at him for a few seconds, then pointed to the waiting room."Wait there for him."Heikichi let himself down and sat in one of the many empty seats. There was a center table holding a few old magazines. Across from him, there was a very nervous looking teen whose eyes shifted from one place to another."Umm...Are you here to see Seinheim-sensei too?" Altαir
May I join? Sorry for interrupting.
shadowferret
>_><_<Interesting. Could I join? Name: Katy SonchoAge: 18Physical Appearance: A young woman who stands at around 5'4". She has long blonde hair reaching down to her waist that is all tied into a braid. She has white skin that is almost pale, and her eyes are a bright blue, surrounded by purple-rimmed glasses. Her body isn't all that outstanding, and she could be considered a wallflower.Bio: When Katy turned 10, she'd started hearing voices in her head. She learned to mostly ignore them, until at the age of 13 she'd begun to realize there was a connection between what the voices said and what the people around her were talking about. That is when she first realized she could hear the thoughts of others. A the age of 15, she started noticing tht things could move by her will alone. She slowly got a hang of this ability, and has become somewhat decent in Kinesis techniques. When she turned 18, she had an odd out-of-body experience that she remembers to this day very vividly. It lasted for almost an hour before she came to her senses in her own bed, luckily unharmed. A few days later, she received a call from a Doctor Seinhem. At her Jujitsu class, strange men were in the restaurant across the street...Personality: Katy loves to read books, and is a very quiet girl. She keeps mostly to herself, and really only has two or three friends. She is timid around strangers, but when around her friends she gets pretty loud and talkative. A complete nerd, she spends a lot of time by herself, unless on the phone with her oldest or best friend.ID: A quite large dagger that tends to flail around wildly of its own accord. The blade likes to seek out anyone nearby, and can emit a kind of pressure that seems to disrupt the thought processes of anyone around it, making it hard for other Astral Projectors to concentrate, including Katy herself. Depending on how much danger she is in, the dagger can grow to a different size, almost into a sword.Egos: She has small, translucent wings on her shoes that let her leap around higher than any normal human. Also, markings on her legs like tattoos in a flame-like design seeA m to make her more agile, allowing her to fight a lot better in Astral form, or even to just move around.Superego: A white cat with two eyes that shine brightly in any kind of light, named "Fuzzy". Fuzzy can speak English, and helps Katy out when she needs to make a choice. Fuzzy also has a slight ability to see into the future, and can foresee trouble, helping Katy out a lot. Hydra of Ages
(OOC; Both accepted.) The receptionist paused and pursed her lips. "Yes?" She said after a moment, looking at David. "The Doctor is occupied right now. If you want to see him, take a seat in the reception room." She paused, then said, almost as an afterthought; "A couple others like you are here already. A kid about your age, and a ten year old." Markus blinked at Heikichi. "...S-seinheim-sensei?" He said, confused for a moment, but then blinked as he figured what was said. "...A-ah, yeah, I'm here for Seinheim too... Why are you here..." He asked shyly. Otaku-sama
"Well, these men in black suits came to my school and brought me here in their big black van. They wouldn't tell me why they brought me here. They just said that Seinheim-sensei wanted to take a look at me. Well, at least they got me out of math class! My name's Heikichi! What's yours mister?"
shadowferret
This van is oddly comfortable. I was wary of getting in, but they said Doctor Seinhem sent them. Still wary, I got in the back of the van and let them transport me, but I knew I'd be okay if I got in trouble. I mean, I just got out of the Jujitsu class I've been taking since I was 8.My name is Katy Soncho, and I am... an interesting woman. I'm just a little on he quiet side, but it keeps me out of trouble."I trust your conversation with the Doctor went well, for you to be so willing to come with us."The man in the black shades looked at me with that false smile all government officials are required to wear."Um, yeah." Not saying anything else, I tried to pick out the men's thoughts from all the chattter in my head.Yes, you heard me right -- their thoughts.I can hear the thoughts of other people. Of course, I'll get more into that later. When I tried scanning for their specific thoughts, however, all I could pick out was "Don't be afraid. Trust the Doctor."Were they aware of my abilities?Of course, this was only proof that they were, indeed, working with the Doctor. The Doctor... he called me a few days ago. I didn't know who it was, and I was skeptic about him at first. But he seemed to know plenty about me. He gave me some undeniable proof that he wasn't lying, though...While I was talking to him, an image of the Doctor appeared in my head. He explained this to me as Astral-Projecting.Actually, looking back, I begin to wonder if that image was in my head or actually before my eyes.My thoughts were disrupted, though, by the van's sudden stop."Here we are. Just go in, and there should be other... pupils." As soon as I stepped out of the van, the doors slammed shut, and the tires screeched as the vehicle peeled out on the street."O....kay....?"I looked around for the entrance, and felt an exceptionally strong presence of thoughts coming from behind a pair of glass doors.Interesting.Following the voices, I stepped through the doors, ready to see what the Doctor had in store for me. evilfusion
David nodded and wandered over to where several chairs were positioned. It wasn't hard to see the two others already there, but he gave them little more than a passing glance before leaning back in one of the chairs. David's expression was serious, but relaxed, in sharp contrast to the expression the boy around his age was wearing. Then again, David considered, not everyone else in the world was bound to be comfortable with going to some sort of psychiatric facility.
Master Mave II
James walked into the clinic and into the waiting room. There were other people there. James began scanning, but couldn't hear anything. Strange James thought. There's no doubt about it, These people are psychic just like me. James sat down and picked up up a magazine. Star Child
I walked down towards a strange hospital that I heard about in a dream just a few nights ago, and there it stood, just as it looked then. I walked up the rocky parking lot and noticed how it looked like a dump, well in my eyes anyway. When I got to the front door and entered a woman greeted me, but not to kindly. She had a bad attitude towards me and pointed to some open seats a few feet away, without even asking for my name. I went over to a couch and sat, staring at the people that were also there. SPA7X
About 50 yards away from the infamous ward of the great doctor, was a old city bus, tittering on the brink. Inside the bus were only 2 people: The buses driver, a greasy bald man with multiple stains on his already ugly plaid shirt; and a teenage boy with a hood over his head and a blue backpack on his... well, back. The bus slowed to a stop in front of a very plain building, rattling and squealing as it did. The bus driver looked at the boy though his rearview mirror. "End of the line, kid." The boy got up, gathered his things and paid the man before finally stepping off of the bus. He felt his feet make contact with the sidewalk and he looked up, staring at the strange Psychiatric ward. He felt a strange blend of fear, worry and anticipation bubbling up inside him. He knew deep down that if he was to ever find the answers he wanted, this would be were he would find them. He braced himself as he walked up to the door, removing his hood as he did. "(sigh) lets get this over with." The room he had entered was filled with other people, which was surpirsing considering the small appearence of the facillity. Apparently this doctor was as popular as he was rumored to be. He signed in at the registration desk, noting the surprized look at how one of the doctors patients had Actually come here of free will, then he sat in the closest chair and waited to be called. Hydra of Ages
Markus blinked as he looked at the growing crowd, and twitched his fingers restlessly. He blinked at the kid who called himself Heikichi. "Erm, mine's Markus." He said after a moment, a little wary. For some reason, his "gift" wasn't working in the tan-walled room. He glanced around in various places, trying not to look at anyone- he eventually settled by staring at a picture on the wall. He wasn't sure, but it seemed to be a Van Gogh. He tried to ignore them, but he found his attention drawn to each one almost magnetically. Aside from the red-haired kid that was trying to make conversation with him, there was a thin, blond-haired girl with purple spectacles about his age. A black-haired guy looking a little older than him, sat silently a few chairs away. Another dark-haired man, this one looking around 20, sat near the table containing the magazines and began reading a particularly decrepit-looking one. A particularly head-turning boy, looking younger than Markus but with a strange head of white and black hair, sat on a nearby couch, blatantly staring at the other ESPers. Markus found himself shift in his seat a little. The newest arrival came in. It was another dark-haired guy, this one looking about Markus' own age. After a short exchange with the secretary, he sat in the nearest seat. Markus shifted a little in his seat, wondering when the Doctor was going to arrive. Just as he completed that thought, he stiffened as an older-looking man entered the room. He stroked his beard for a second in contemplation, evidently looking at the various Psychics each in turn, only sparing about three seconds on each one. He didn't say a word, but as Markus found he couldn't scan him, he figured he had to be the Doctor. He shifted a little in silence, hoping someone other than him would break it for him. Star Child
I looked up from the floor and saw Markus squirming around in his small chair, then looked at the middle-aged man with anger. I pointed a finger at him and stared, "you were in my dream, just as this place was. This cannot be a coincedince, tell me why I'm here, and how you gave me that dream. You, this hospital, and everything else in here were in it." I stood up without taking my eyes off of him for a second.
