technically Avatar was made by a Korean company too but regardless.

 

Many people consider Korean animes/mangas still as animes/mangas because they are' date=' they don't need to be made in Japan. Anime is just animations.

bositige' date=' fox, i am ending the argument now with this statement. avatar is anime, just like code lyoko would be anime. however, most anime as we know it does come from japan, but there are contries that make their own type of anime. this said, not all anime are on the same level. for example, some of the plot lone of code lyoko might be interesting, but the drawings are far from what you would expect from what we all know as anime, whereas avatar is actually close enough to that to almost not matter. now taking this into account, all anime are cartoons, but not all cartoons are anime. tom and jerry is a cartoon, but it is not an anime. tom and jerry is a childrens cartoon show involving a cat, a mouse, and occasionally other animals. further more, anime actually have definable plots that develop throughout the series, which also tends to separate them from the other cartoons that are not necessarily anime. now, does this argument satisfy everyone? if not, then please post a valid reason as to why. otherwise, someone pick another topic.

It was influenced by anime style, but not really an anime as it was created by an American company IN AMERICA!

The only reason I want to get Tetsanuki (sp?) vs Capcom is because it is the only video game you can play as the totally pwnage Karas.

Anyway I'm still wondering when news about FFVersusXIII will be released...that game looks so amazing from it's few short teasers...
