Real Life Dueling

When you duel in real life, do you always use a calculator to keep track of your life points? And when you special summon a token, is there an actual token card that you can place on the field? If not, does that mean the token is invisble on the field? What if you forget it's there? I haven't duel in real life yet and have been wondering about this since the game does all this for you. I was thinking about buying the real cards.

You can use a note pad and a pen to keep track of life points. And you can use coins in place of tokens. I'm gonna take a calculator to the local card shop tourney tomorrow.

Token Cards have been printed, but you can use any sort of marker, as long as the ATK and DEF modes are clear

I usually do the math in my head, but if the match starts to go long I write down the Life Points. >_>

 

As for tokens, I have special Scapegoat tokens! Yay!

Otherwise, most people use Dice.

minus i only use the note pad for Trap dustshoot targets. i have actually 15+ pages of nothing but ppls hands

I write down lifepoints, and usually tear off little bits of paper for tokens.

It would be better to have the actual card like if your're gonna buy a Blue Thunder T-45, you'll get four Thunder Option Tokens along with it. But then again, people will have too many token cards.

I use Pen and Paper for my Life Points. For Tokens, I use the crap load of Token Cards from my crap load of 5D's Tins. :lol:

Why would they have a rule like that? So you get disqualified if you forget how many life points you have? That will be hard for people with short term memory like me to remember how much I have through out the whole duel. I sometimes even forget what card I just set on the field.

And I often forget what I have where.

 

If I put down my hand to go to the toilet when dueling friendlies, I occasionally forget I have one and continue without.

lol I could imagine that. I used my notepad for life points and I would always right down notes of what to side in because i have bad memory with that

I use both a notebloc and a calculator. I'm obligated to use the notebloc because my win condition is Final Countdown, and for really important matches, I use 2 recources, the second being dice.

Looks like real life dueling is harder than the game since you don't have a machines doing all the work. If there was a Yugioh game with all the cards, people will stop buying the real cards. That's if the game has no glitches.

That's only because Yugioh is a rich man's game. A lot of factors apply to rl dueling that don't online. You could: not find the packs you want or need, not have enough money for the cards, etc. etc.

I'm pretty sure that YVD/DMU have all of the cards currently, and the only 'glitch' I possibly know of is your internet disconnecting, WC09 also has almost all of the cards that were available when it was released.

when i bought a tin at the bottom there were token cards you could use those and when i do a real life duel i just use a pen and paper.
