Astro Dude
Well, where to start? Ok, I'm checked out some anime's that the 4kids va's were in and a few from Crispin Freeman (Whom I may consider the Mel Blanc of Anime) and I was reacquainted with Gungrave. Had to pull some all nighters too. Here are some anime's I checked out: Animation Runner Kuromi, Gungrave, Hecksing, Samurai Deeper Kyo (Which I call the dark side of 4kids cause their va's were in it and everything 4kids is, this anime is NOT!), His and Her Circumstances, The Melancoly of Haruhi Suzuyama, The World of Narue, Mouse and I'm checking out The Wallflower. The reason is I was doing research for the wikipedia article of Lisa Ortiz, possibly one of the greatest va's in history, and I noticed some stuff was left out while some stuff was wrong. Anyway, I had to pull an all nighter for Gungrave. After watching all 26 episodes I thought: "All that bloodshed, what if it happened to me?" I couldn't sleep after that. I was so afraid after watching each episode one after another. Needed some comedy to look on the bright side of this, so enter the Melancoly of Haruhi Suzuyama. Funny stuff. Oh btw, to the guy who posted TMOHS pics on my Layer thread, thanks. Hecksing had Crispin Freeman as Alucard (Think about this for a while). They dropped some Fudge bombs there, didn't mind though. My favorite episodes of H&H were 1, 2, 10, 11, and 13. Fave character, Tsubasa. She's so funny, and Lisa Ortiz portrays the part quite well. Samurai Deeper Kyo proves that, although already proven, even the 4kids va's have a nasty streak. Not as much bloodshed as Gungrave but still. I also saw Revolutionary Girl Utena. I was trying to look for Grims Fairy Tales, an anime I saw when I was a kid, and then this popped up. Favorite episode, Number 17, where we are re-introduced to Juri's X-factor, Shiori Takatsuki (Another character portrayed by Ortiz). Seemed Gloomy I can still remember when she was driven: "IT'S NOT ENOUGH! IT'S NOT ENOUGH! WHY DO YOU LOOK AT ME LIKE THAT?! WHY?! WHY WONT YOU TELL ME HOW YOU REALLY FEEL?!" Whoa, and I thought Akiza had issues. Mouse, though short, was kinda cool. Favorite episodes: 7 and 8. Yayoi was hot, but who'd thought she would have a fear of men? She was like a caterpillar in a cocoon. Also, I saw Shamanic Princess. Tara Jayne (Now known as Tara Sands), played the part of Tiara quite well. Another great Anime I saw was Grenadier. Kinda cool, a hot babe pacifist with a 38 revolver. That's something. And also I'm currently on episode 3 going to 4 on The World of Narue. Even so, I'll stick to the 4kids animes and any comedy animes. I wanna be the guy who dosen't have to look at the harshness of reality. Though in my Return of the Mobius Bloodline Grenade Man Saga Fanfics I'd like to use the following Characters: Yuya Shiina, Rushuna Tendo, Mika Asagi, Mouse and his three female helpers, and Princess Tiara. But I should discuss this in a different thread. Anyway, that's all. Tell me what you think.
Skuldur
Why are you watching the dubbed versions?
Astro Dude
Why are you watching the dubbed versions? I like the voices. Plus it's easier to understand when it's in English. Oh by the way, I saw both episodes of the Fire Emblem OVA. I was kinda shocked to learn about it. I thought it was just a videogame. I never would've imagined there'd be an anime about it. Update: Saw all of Fruits Basket. It was great, up till the end.Update 2: Saw Najica Blitz Tactics. Good up til the end. It ended the same way Gungrave did.Shocking: I'm not sure if I should put this but Tara Jayne was involved in Fencer of Minerva and Mystery of the Necronominon, both of which are, how shall I put it, mature anime's.
