The "Nuking the Card Pool Significantly" List

That doesn't really do anything though. If were not allowed to use 2000 beatsticks, we'll all use 1900 beatsticks. If we're not allowed 1900 beatsticks, we'll drop to 1800 ones. And so on, no matter what. <_

3/0 gone mad' date=' anyone?

Eh, it's not even a new idea; I think I first saw something like this with a list on Pojo made, if I recall correctly, T-Drag - except his attempt to axiomize 3/0 had more rules, but its rules were less extreme (i.e. banning attack doubling and attack boosts over a certain cap rather than outright banning all stat altering).

Incidentally, he abandoned the idea because it was terrible, and his attempt was way better than this one (and didn't lead to a rule that basically said "also this stuff is banned too because I didn't construct my axioms very well did I?"). So yeah.

This is actually a real thread this time.

Newly Banned

1) All cards with effects capable of modifying ATK or DEF.

2) All Spell or Trap Cards capable of subtracting a monster from your opponent's hand or field without costing any other cards than themselves.

3) All Spell or Trap Cards capable of adding an additional monster to your hand or field without costing any other cards than themselves.

4) All cards with ATK and/or DEF higher than (card's original Level*450.)

5) All cards capable of netting a +1 or greater amount of Card Advantage outside of battle.

6) All cards listing alternate win conditions in their effects.

7) All cards which involve skipping a phase or turn of your opponent's.

8) All multiple-attackers.

9) Cyber End Dragon' date=' Dark Strike Fighter, Exchange of the Spirit, Graceful Charity, Life Equalizer, Reversal Quiz, and Skill Drain.

[u']Newly Unlimited[/u]

Everything else.

What's wrong here? Other than nuking the card pool significantly.

Rule #9 is crap. Don't go naming specific cards, you adjust the rules to include them, but you don't name specific cards if you are doing it like this. You may end up banning cards you don't want to, but if you want them banned you can't just tack them on at the end.

Cyber Twin is a double attacker

Dark Strike somewhat falls under rule #5, since the more monster you have the more damage you do. So that = card advantage? O,o

......I'm too lazy to try and make excuses for the others.

Cytwin and Cyend are not the same card.

Dark Strike Fighter generates a -1 each time it uses its effect. -1 < +1.

I'd more see DSF under #6, he would have to loosen it a tad, but it is an alternate win condition by burn.

Btw, all Dark World cards would be banned as they give a + with any card that discards cards from you hand <<
