Sin' date=' just to bring you up to date, HIM isn't Gothic Rock, they're just Love Metal <_<

Yes, Love Metal. The term exists. Strangely.

And Country Metal O_o?

[/quote']

Love Metal is a genre invented by HIM from the roots of Gothic Rock.

And country metal is usually white supremacy music... Well a majority of the time... Others that can be considered country metal could be bands like Pantera.

I hate to further burst your bubble, but Cradle of Filth isn't even remotely close to death metal. They're closer to black metal, even though I see them more as Gothic Metal.

Cradle of Filth is NOT Black Metal. They are Melodic Gothic Death Metal or something like that.

Death Metal: Cradle Of Filth

Techno Metal: Rammstein

Melodic Death Metal: Amon Amarth and Destinity

Power Metal: Kamelot

They started out as death metal on their demos, then their first 2 or 3 albums were a sort of gothic metal with A LOT of black metal influences (listen to The Principle of Evil Made Flesh and Dusk And Her Embrace), then they started moving more toward straight gothic/symphonic metal.

Oh, and if you want to get technical, Amon Amarth is actually viking metal. :-p

Okay, my turn.

They're Gothic Black Metal Band.

They have some Symphonic Black Metal songs, and some that are not.

They aren't Death Metal. Not even close to that.

Of course there latest Album's started to go downhill, because they are starting to become a bit money maker side, and not caring. But I just hope that they just make a comeback, returning to their brutality from way back then.

And isn't Iron Maiden Black Metal? I know it's Metal, but which kind I don't know. They said they were, or Dani said, that they were influenced by them.

Either way:

COF =/= Death Metal.

You're right, I think I meant to put that up. I meant to put up both genres. Sorry, I was tired when I wrote this.

NOT. EVEN. CLOSE. They're more... Traditional heavy metal I guess? Or NWOBHM (New Wave of British Heavy Metal). I've even heard them considered power metal which kinda makes sense, because a lot of their material sounds like power metal...

That's why I said, "I know it's Metal, but which kind I don't know."

I just knew that they were Metal. I though that they maybe considered Black Metal since COF, who is Black Metal, Gothic Black Metal, that area, and that they were influenced by Iron Maiden.

Then again, I never heard 1 Iron Maiden song, cause Youtube is being gay to me. :S
