shadowferret
I recently got a new laptop, and I've been wanting to download an online dueling game thingamajigger. So, I need to know which one is (in your opinion), better? YVD or DMU? Which one should I download? By the way, sorry if this is in the wrong forum, but I dunno where a question like this would actually go. Guest Chaos Pudding
YVD.
-Griffin
Both, I use DMU for most dueling, but some people have only YVD, YVD also supports customs.
Felix
This should be in Video Games or Polls. Get YVD.
Manjoume Thunder
Get both. YVD is better, but it's harder to find an opponent on it.
Silas Angel
YVD is the best ;)
burnpsy
Get both. On YVD' date=' it's harder to find an opponent.[/quote'] This.
-Griffin
Get both. On YVD' date=' it's harder to find an opponent.[/quote'] This. Very much so, I also dislike trying to get YVD working right, a lot of my friends have had problems connecting and DMU's deck editor was always nicer to me. There are pros and cons to each, there's no reason for sticking to one.
Azuh
DMU for testing out Decks against noobs and sheet YVD for experienced players
JG.
DMU is for Deck Testing, because it takes like 5 seconds to find an opponent. YVD just plain sucks IMO.
Dark_Armed_Zombie
DMU is good for just testing consistency issues for a deck as it's easier to find an opponent, but you need to use YVD if you actually want to test it vs. tournament decks as almost noone actually uses non-anime decks on DMU, or if they do, it's some off the wall deck. While I will admit all of this, ever since YVD players wouldn't even considering dueling me because I was trying to test my Vayu build, I haven't returned. YVD, while for the most part has better players, still had noobs, so you have to be vigilent on who and how you ask people to duel.
Guest Chaos Pudding
Jesus, you guys must just suck at finding opponents on YVD. I never have a problem.
shadowferret
Okay, so I tried downloading YVD offa their site, but....Keeps saying"The cabinet file 'disk1.cab' required for this installation is corrupt and cannot be used. This could indicate a network error, an error readinf from the CD-ROM, or a problem with the package." Does anyone know the solution to this problem, or should I just download DMU? -Griffin
Go for DMU for now, you can always try YVD again later.Once more - there is no reason to stick to only one, they're different. While I prefer DMU generally, many YCM tourneys/ect are prefered to be on YVD.
