Yes. It increases your hand-eye coordination' date=' your ability to solve problems[/b'], and makes you more creative, just to name a few.

Mostly the bolded.

If you play Pokemon competitively, it teaches you strategy and a bit of math is involved as well. In fact, my mental math (mostly multiplication and division) has gotten a lot faster after I started.

yeah but it also can change your personality make you more violent. Just a theory.

People who go out and shoot people are mentally unstable to begin with. If you look at the relation between crazed shooter and video games, you will see millions of gamers, with a total of....like, what, 4 shooters?

What happens if you play Brawl? o_O

"Son, why are you wearing that Meta Knight suit?"

"I need to go slash Kirby's face off while also making it dark by activating my Final Smash with the completion of obtaining a Smash Ball."

"Okay, but don't forget your B-Down!"

But Yet folks that is a valid point..

Say u have a little brother or what have you

(Lets say about 5 to 6yrs old)

If they PLay GTA, they can become more violent.

My brother is 5 & alrdy knows what a Gun is,

He likes to wrestle/fight

He knows when they cops are chasing me on GTA

He knows when i need to "Get The Guns" as he would say lol.

But point is that hes 5...

It could have an affect on him if we didnt raise him right. (He knows right from wrong very well. Very well behaned young man)

But if we dont, wouldnt you think that surronding him with violent video games could make him a violent person latr on.

OR

Maybe his imagination is juz going thru that stage that every 5 & 6 year old have.

Video games have been proven to help eyesight primarily through the ability to tell contrasts to a much greater distinction

About the violence cause by video games thing: video games do give the knowledge and, to a degree that isn't even comparable to real life, experience of certain things, the people who are actually violent "because" of video games have conditions that prevent them from fully understanding the differences between the real world and a game. Most people who play games are able to keep these distinctions very keenly at all times, but some do not have the psychological capacity to completely seperate these worlds.

Everything in these two posts happened to me. All of it. So I'd say it's good.

'125 - calories burned with playing Wii Sports-Boxing for 15 minutes.' ~Guinness World Records 2009: Gamer's Edition

nowai

That's actually freaking amazing. That's 500 calories for an hour of playing.

If you do that 4 times a week, you are burning 2000 calories a week.

8000 calories a month.

96000 calories a year! That is actually amazing for a damn video game.

I think Wii Tennis gets around 60 or 70 per 15 minutes, but I'll have to check up on that.

I should be a Nintendo advertiser. Like... BILLY MAYS!

All the math was done in my head. Who says Pokemon can't help anything?

I real Nintendo CEO said that? I just got more respect for Nintendo. ;D

Video Games don't turn people more violent. Maybe I can understand that learning different types of guns at age 15 is a bit too much, but it's not like you will kill people. That would mean you are crazy.

Also, I spit water at my sister because I tried to use Hydro Pump.
