Ok in this tutorial Im going to explain how to do this.. Probably most of you already know..

Requirements..

Gimp.

Any photo editing program.

A creative mind.

Ok there are two ways to edit the start up and those are.

1.any pic

2. custom image start up.

ok lets start with any pic

1. Open your web browser.

2.Go o goolge and search for the image you want to use.

3. save it in My computer > C: > Program files > Gimp > share > Gimp 2.X > Images and replace the Gimp splash.

Note: You may want to create a back up for the original image. If you are tired of the image you chose and you didn't create a backup.. Don't worry go to google and search Gimp Splash.

2. Custom pic.

1.Open Gimp splash from My computer > C: > Program files > Gimp > share > Gimp 2.X > Images.

2. Search for some renders or create your own.

3. paste them in the Gimp Splash.

and save.

Note: You may want to create a back up for the original image. If you are tired of the image you chose and you didn't create a backup.. Don't worry go to google and search Gimp Splash.

If you liked the tut. Rep is very much appreciated.

If you want to you can post your results here.

And as for your tutorial, it is pretty good, but maybe include a few pictures to allow the person a better and easier way of veiwing the steps :D
