Kurevin
lets say i have on my side of the feild:4 random spellcaster-type monsters(whose effects are not important), Defender the magical knight w/ 1spellcounter.My opponent has Volcanic doomfire Defender, the Magical KnightEffect:When this card is Normal Summoned, place 1 Spell Counter on it (max. 1). Once per a turn, if a face-up Spellcaster-Type monster(s) on the feild would be destroyed, you can remove 1 Spell Counter from a cardyou control for each of those monsters instead. Volcanic DoomfireEffect:This card cannot be Normal Summoned or Set. This card cannot be Special Summoned except by sending a face-up "Tri-Blaze Accelerator" on your field to the Graveyard. During your opponent's Battle Phase, all Attack Position monsters on your opponent's side of the field must attack this card. If this card destroys an opponent's monster in battle and sends it to the Graveyard, destroy all monsters on your opponent's side of the field, and inflict 500 points of damage to your opponent for each monster destroyed by this effect. now lets say volcanic doomfire attacks a spellcaster i control wouldA: i remove a spellcounter and nothing happens, orB: i remove a spellcounter and all of my monsters are destroyed i say A but my brother is convinced that me removing from play a spell counter is the same as him destroying a monster and sending it to the graveyard keep in mind that defender states that you can remove a counter INSTEAD that means the monster never went to the graveyard
Manjoume Thunder
Loosing a counter =/= Destroying >.< And next time use the Q&A thread that's stickied. AND LOLVOLCANICDOOMFIRE :D
Flame Dragon
Because it's better to have more then one person give an answer. The answer is no. Why, no monster was destroyed and it didn't enter the grave.
pencil001
hello evreybodyi think A should be right
UltimateOTK7
I'd have to say A because no monster would be sent to the grave if you used Defender's Effect. But you can only use it once so if he had TWO Volcanic Doomfire's, you'd be screwed. lol
4tutoralcom
if you removed a counter after the card is destroyed to protect the destruction of all you other monsters it wouldn't work. By using it to protect the monster that was attacked. it would not have been destroyed, witch means the effect of Volcanic Doomfire would not activate because the monster wasn't sent to the Graveyard.
