Lord Ursus
Hmm... That is interesting. May I ask which cards?
Limited Edition KING
@ King Matrix: What's with the cynical approach to the referral part of the app? I was stating that I was not referred by anyone to join the NDL and couldn't think of a better way to make it noticable than by saying it in the way that I said it. Also I found it difficult answering it as I wasn't reffered by anyone to join so I just went ahead and said it the way I said it.
Max Darkness
@ King Matrix: Or put N/A. Accepted. @ Ursus: Of course. (Sorry for the wait, had to re-upload them)
Greed, Acedia and Despair]
Envy and Lust]http://i47.tinypic.com/20a5r2d.jpg' alt='20a5r2d.jpg'> http://i47.tinypic.com/14adax0.jpg' alt='14adax0.jpg'> Effect: This card can only be Ritual Summoned with the Ritual Spell Card “Dark Malevolence” by Tributing 2 or more monsters. Monsters your opponent controls can only attack this face-up card. When this card destroys a monster by battle and inflicts Battle Damage to your opponent, put 1 Sins Counter on it. (Max. 2) Once per turn, during your Main Phase, you can remove 1 Sins Counter on this card. If you do, this card can attack twice during your Battle Phase and this card’s effect is negated, until the end of the Battle Phase. .
Headmaster Monokuma
I remember them Max. We all know that Konami is no were near as complictated when they make cards as you .
Max Darkness
But even I went overboard when I made the higher-Level "Seven Sins" monsters. Compare the two versions of "Pride". The one on the left is the original, the right-hand one is the effect once two Traps worth of effects were removed.
Headmaster Monokuma
Yeah, you did... Wow, I struggle with coming up with half of that. I think I may stick with my SMW Hacking studies.
Limited Edition KING
Thank you for accepting me ^_^ And Shadow Konami says: Screw your staples, we have the ban list >:3 Lord: Is it some sort of script or fan fiction?
Max Darkness
Yes, the banlist that in some places, makes absolutely no sense whatsoever... Dark, if you want the details (since you can't read them on the card), it's first and last effects became: http://i48.tinypic.com/1554gad.jpg' alt='1554gad.jpg'> Effect: Activate only when a Ritual monster you control is destroyed. Select and activate the appropriate effect, based on the Level of the destroyed monster: * Level 5 or lower: Remove from play the destroyed monster in your Graveyard to add 1 Ritual Spell Card and Level 4 or lower Ritual monster from your Graveyard to your Deck. * Level 6 or higher: Remove from play the destroyed monster in your Graveyard to Special Summon 1 Level 3 or lower monster in your hand, ignoring the Summoning conditions. Headmaster Monokuma
So those came from the monster you posted.... Wow, that's just insane. How do you come up with effects like that?
Max Darkness
Mainly, it comes from a desire to make monsters that are difficult/expensive to Summon to be completely self-sufficient and powerful. As in, to justify summoning them. So when making a very powerful monster, it usually goes like this: [summoning Conditions] [Effect that activates upon Summoning] [On-Field Effect(s) (Protection/Attack Redirection/Opponent destruction/Deck or Hand Regeneration)] [battle Effect(s) (Usually)] [Effect(s) that activate upon destruction.] So once you've gone through all those, the effect can become very long indeed. Headmaster Monokuma
Yeah, I guess it could get quite long. I remember when you tried to make short card effects. THat sure didn't last long, or are you still working on that?
Max Darkness
I can make short effects. I just choose not to since I find them dull/unimaginative. For example: http://i50.tinypic.com/j8jocn.jpg' alt='j8jocn.jpg'> Effect: Pay 400 Life Points during each of your End Phases. If you do not, destroy this card. This card cannot be Normal Summoned or Set. When this card is Special Summoned, select 1 of your Deck, Graveyard or Removed from Play Zone and activate the appropriate effect: * Deck: Cards cannot be added to or removed from your Deck, except by drawing. * Graveyard: Cards cannot be sent from your hand or Deck to the Graveyard and cards cannot be returned to your hand or Deck from the Graveyard. * Removed from Play Zone: Cards cannot be Removed from Play from your hand or Deck and removed from play cards cannot be returned to the hand or Deck. I simply prefer "Card Paladin"'s effect since it does a lot, although I am proud of both these cards, especially "Soul Paladin". Like a monster version of "Spirit Barrier". Headmaster Monokuma
I see what you mean. I wish I could come up with effects like that. The "Card Paladin" seems like it could be stuck in a RFP deck to keep your cards out of the RFP Zone, while just send opponent's cards there.
Max Darkness
Perhaps, but RFP Decks need to get their Spells and Traps back, so while their monsters can happily wallow in the Different Dimension (since two of them return to the field at the End Phase), cards like "Dark Core", "Lightning Vortex" and "Karma Cut" need to be returned to the Deck. So while "Macro Cosmos" is face-up, this card would act rather like an RFP version of "Necrovalley". But that will cause a problem for an RFP duelist since they'll run out of good cards quickly or they'll be forced to ration their actions. And since "Burial from a Different Dimension" is Limited, it's almost a once only effect. You will be able to get back any cards that were sent to the Graveyard before "Macro Cosmos" activated, but other than that, it's a lock-down for both players. It's a double-edged sword that costs 400 LP a turn.
