Actually, I know someone who used a very successful Gaia-Dreadroot Deck ("Gaia Plate the Earth Giant" and "The Wicked Dreadroot"). He was good. I've never faced someone using the "Sacred Beasts".

Also, have written the next chapter of "Rise of Darkness", detailing the fourth new Dark Signer's birth (although she was the third to appear).
4. Envoy of Despair]

Jack awoke some time later. Before he’d looked around, a stabbing pain from his gut drew his attention. He saw his clothes soaked through and stained with his blood and at the same time his Mark of the Dragon was glowing.

“Oh, you’re awake.” The emotionless voice drew Jack’s eyes to his left, where a young woman, no more than 15, was sitting next to him. She was dressed in similar robes to Akira and on her right arm; the Dark Mark symbolic of Chacu Challua was glowing.

“What are you-“ Jack tried to start but was stopped by the flood of pain from his wounds.

“I’m alerting your friends.” She replied, again devoid of any emotion.

“Why?”

“Because…you shouldn’t have to lose loved ones senselessly; like I did…” She looked down, her eyes filling with tears.

“What happened?”

“What do you care? In your eyes, I’m a Dark Signer, an enemy.”

“I…Jack Atlas…need to repay you for giving Yusei and the others a beacon. “I’ll listen.”

“We lived in Satellite. My parents ran up debts with a vicious loan shark called Hikaru. One night, his thugs came and took my father away. It later transpired they had killed him in a back alley. My mother went insane with grief. Eventually, she ended her own life. My older sister tried to repay the debts. But when she couldn’t, she got involved with questionable deals and overdosed on illegal drugs. Then, when I thought it would be over, they came after me, still asking for money I didn’t have. So I ended it all by jumping off the Infinity Bridge. My heart was a dark void.”

“It was my last breath that called him forth. As my lungs filled with water, I saw purple lights in the blackness. They became Chacu Challua. It told me it could give me the power to hurt those who had hurt me. I couldn’t say no. With that, I gained the marks.” She turned to look at Jack, and pointed to the small vertical marks descending from her eyes, the second part of her Dark Mark. “I was told you fought a loan shark at some point.”

“Yes. He was…called Garome… I tore up the contracts when I won…” Jack struggled to complete the sentence.

“That’s very honourable. Perhaps my life would be different if you’d shown up. As it was, I became what I am and when I woke I was on the shore with a burning desire to destroy Hikaru and any of his associates.”

“I arrived at their building, and a pair of them, who had broken into our house numerous times approached, asking whether I had the money. When I said I hadn’t, they threatened me, but then the being inside my mind unleashed itself and swallowed them in flames.”

“You killed them?”

“Without hesitation. They died painful deaths, but it was hardly enough. The sorrow in my heart drove me further. I walked down the corridor and whenever I was confronted, I used the Immortal’s powers to inflict terrible punishment on them. Some burned, others drowned, and more still were thrown to the ground and crushed. I felt nothing, only a wish to kill the man who had killed my family. When I reached him, the full extent of my dark emotions was shown.

The door to Hikaru’s office was smashed down, the cause being one of his minions having been thrown into it with enough force to crush most of his bones, although unseen to the people inside the office. A young woman, dressed in the robes of a Dark Signer, walked in and towards Hikaru’s desk.

“Who are you?” asked the debt collector.

“You know full well who I am.” She replied, as she removed her hood.

“Gemma-chan. What are you doing here? Are you going to repay the money? You know I don’t like to be kept waiting.” He said in a patronising manner.

“I’m not here to give you money you don’t deserve.”

“Then why are you here? I am a busy man after all.”

“Yes. Busy killing honest men and women who you manipulate.” Gemma taunted, a hint of an angry tone showing.

“Okay. Enough games. Gemma, either pay the money or get out. I’ll send some people to see to you later.” Hikaru said, gesturing to one of his workers. “I should have known you’d be like your parents.” The line struck Gemma’s core, igniting her powers and causing her Dark Marks to flare.

“What do you mean by that?!” Her despair and grief had mutated into hatred.

“They never paid me back. Neither did your sister. I was fool to think someone honest would come out of that family.”

“You dishonourable b-“ Gemma was stopped by a hand over her mouth and two of Hikaru’s men restraining her.

“Get rid of her.” Hikaru commanded, turning. Gemma’s emotions overtook her. The hands of the men holding her burst into flames, burning with purple fire, quickly spreading to the rest of their bodies before consuming both and burning them to ash.

“What just happened?” Hikaru looked at the piles of dust; not wanting to accept what he thought was true.

“I killed them. Just like you killed my family.” The outburst had returned Gemma to her emotionless state, which disturbed Hikaru even more.

“So what do you want…?” Hikaru began to lose his nerve as he stared at the young woman whose eyes seemed to pierce through him.

“To do to you what you did to me. To take everything you’ve ever cared about.” As Gemma spoke, she picked up an arcane object on Hikaru’s desk.

“T-that’s an antique.” He stammered.

“I know.” The Dark Signer replied, before setting it on fire, burning it to nothing. “Tell me. How does it feel?”

“What?”

“To see what you love destroyed. For me, it was my family. For you, it is the material wealth you surround yourself with.” She pointed to a medieval bookcase standing to her left. The simple act caused it to spontaneously combust, causing noticeable distress to Hikaru. “Torture, isn’t it? To have no power to retain what you love. That’s what you did to me. And why I am now like this.”

“What are you?” Hikaru began to back away, putting his survival above his possessions.

“I am a Dark Signer. A person who died while drowning in dark emotions. The great being Chacu Challhua saw this and gave me the chance to inflict to you what you had to me. My despair is how I am here. And now you shall feel the utter power of the darkest of emotions.”

Hikaru turned to run, but Gemma raised her arm, conjuring a ring of violet flame around her and her opponent.

“It’s time for you to face the consequences for your actions.” Gemma’s arm was cloaked in dark energies, forming into a duel disk. “Show me your Deck of broken dreams.”

“What?”

“I’m sure your Deck is made up of the cards you stole from people like my parents. I wouldn’t think that you would ever get them yourself. Knowing you, they are rare, and you can’t resist having something that others do not.”

“Fine. But I am good. And when I win, the consequences for you will be severe.”

“Not as severe as your fate.” Gemma smiled slightly as the duel began.

“Duel!”

Tell me what you think.

@ Dark: One problem. I haven't actually made Gemma's Deck yet. It will be a Dark Umi Deck, based on DARK/WATER di-Attribute monsters, the "Ice Boundary" Synchros, the "Dark Ocean" Dark Synchros, and keeping "Chacu Challhua" in Defense Position. I've made the Dark Synchros, but the first 'Dark Umi' card I've made is thus:

fz21wz.jpg

Effect: This card is also treated as a WATER monster. You cannot Special Summon this card except while there are exactly 2 DARK monsters in your Graveyard. While "Umi" is face-up on the field, if this card would be destroyed by a Spell Card, destroy 1 Spell or Trap Card your opponent controls instead. Monsters your opponent controls cannot select this card as an attack target.

@ Shadow: I don't vote when Fake Types are involved. Sorry.

@ Dark: Why are you going insane?

I also need to shoehorn in the "Dark Ocean" Accel Dark Synchro at some point...

2d7dmz4.jpg

Effect: “Dark Ocean Sphere” + “Dark Ocean Bivalve”

This card can only be Summoned by Synchro Summon with the above Synchro Materials. If this card is Summoned ignoring the Summoning conditions, it is destroyed during the End Phase. This card is also treated as a DARK monster while face-up on the field. When this card is Synchro Summoned, destroy all cards on the field, except this card. During the End Phase of the turn this card was Synchro Summoned, you can remove from play the Synchro Material Monsters in your Graveyard to make this card un-targetable by Monster Card effects. As long as this card remains face-up on the field, your opponent cannot activate or Set Field Spell Cards. If you control no other face-up monsters, this card’s original ATK is 2000. Once per turn, you can skip your Battle Phase to inflict an amount of damage to your opponent equal to the number of WATER monsters in your Graveyard x 100. You can treat this card as 2 Tributes for the Tribute Summon of a DARK or WATER monster. If you do, when this card is Tributed, it is removed from play. When this card is destroyed and sent to the Graveyard, add 1 “Earthbound Immortal Chacu Challhua" to the top of your Deck.

(Will probably turn up when she duels the person who turns into the sixth Dark Signer...)

Eh, it was nice knowing it. This is the card I need a picture for.

Card Lore: As long as you control this card you may draw 2 cards during your Draw Phase. At the end of the turn you must discard 1 card. If this card would be destroyed by a card effect, you can send 1 Spell or Trap card you control to the Graveyard to negate the effect.

Strange idea Max, quite strange.

@Max Darkness: I see you've updated your profile. Also as for your card contest I'm not sure how to vote as I would most likely vote for an artistic and closeness to OCG categories. :D Will be sending a PM about Gemini Wolf.

@Shadow Zero: I have the same problem with your contest, except that you don't have Contest writen on your card twice (Like 'FusionXD') XD so...I'll think about voting.

@Both: Other than that you both have very convincing cards.
