Most of the Yu-Gi-Oh games are jokes. They try to make it more than it is, with puzzles and parts that fly in the face of the anime, manga and banlist. For example, in the Story Mode (WC09), I would expect them to go by the anime canon. ie. "Ancient Gear" monsters are incredibly rare, the Forbidden cards practically don't exist, and the "Evil Hero" archetype no longer exists.

Also, people in Satellite are supposed to be poor, so shouldn't have a wide range of monsters. Yet recently, I faced an "A Legendary Ocean" Deck with at least 2 "Levia-Serpent Daedalus"s in it. "L-S D" is hard to find anyway, much more in a slum I would think. Another opponent used the only-recently released "Naturia" archetype...how could they have gotten hold of that when they live in a run-down shanty town? Coupled with the fact that the developers clearly don't watch the anime: everyone in Satellite has a 5Ds Duel Disk, despite every duelist in the anime from Satellite using a Battle City one.

I thought the beginning of a game was supposed to be easy, so the first few days of playing it are interesting, as well as possibly fun. Not so this. It's stupidly hard. Why does Konami even bother making these games when your opponent's Decks are near-perfect while yours is a horrible mess; and they don't even obey the Banlist? Put it this way. One opponent had "Mausoleum of the Emperor", "Doomkaiser Knight" (incredibly rare) and "Ancient Gear Golem" in their opening hand! Questionable much?

As for the 'World Championship' part of the game, it's pathetic. I thought it would be an alternate Story Mode, in which you climb rankings before competing in tournaments, possibly winning cards and the like for your Story Mode. Nope. So far, I've faced "Ojama Yellow", "Skull Servant" and "Winged Kuriboh", beaten them all, and got nothing for it. There doesn't seem to be any way to advance.

Also, in WC10 (and possibly in WC09), certain duelists have 'special' rules when you face them. For example, when you face Kiryu, who seems to have defeated Yusei (somehow, and Yusei hasn't been killed, which is the outcome of a loss in a Shadow Duel) he insists you have to start with an empty hand, so he has a complete advantage. (Plus, Kiryu wasn't like that in the anime. He was evil, but honourable)

And there's more (incredibly)! On top of all that, the packs avaliable don't link together at all. Two are basic cards, so are quite useful. The next two don't seem to have any purpose. The fifth pack has a few useable cards, but seems to focus on WIND monsters, while the previous four mainly had LIGHT and DARK monsters.

The sixth has a picture of "Horus LV8" on it, so I thought it would be a LV monster pack. I've found two in 20 packs... And the seventh (the one I'm up to) has "Sacred Phoenix of Nepthis" but nothing else of notice. How am I supposed to defeat purpose-built Decks when I have that to work with? Alongside that is the Turbo Deck. I have no Speed Spells. Fair huh?

So, because of all this, the great deity Action Replay will answer my prayers to deliver my perfect RFP Deck.

Wow Max, way to go on the rant I saw coming. I love rants. Anywho, I have seen a few of the duels in which there are special rules, and they aren't to prohibting yet. I have had to draw two cards each phase, start with only 4000 LP, and duel in a match. Those weren't a problem. Themonkeys in the game are harder then the freakin humans! How much sadder could it get?

That's it! Wave Motion Cannon. I like using the card' date=' but that guy blew the thing out of proportion. He had three of them on the field at once.

[/quote']

"*hands you a package. you open the package and go* WHAT HE FU- BOOOOOOOOOM!!! *laughs evilly*"

Also, Imagine summoning two of those at the same time, then two turns later you use them to Special Summon Anteatereatingant while still getting the 2K LP damage from each.

Have they run out of ideas?

Of course. Check the facts:

- For the new anime, they chose Dragons as the new trump cards.

- After the E.I. arc, they came up with filler and a generic tournament.

- Almost all the new archetypes being released are in some way overpowered. (Like the "Elec" monsters. Can attack directly and have effects that activate when they do. Not what I would call balanced...)

- Also, in the "Lightsworn" archetype (don't get me started), they once again chose Dragons as the top cards.

Their only hint of creativity came with the "Earthbound Immortals". A bizarre back-story, but a brilliant idea...that was quickly killed off...

EDIT: Bought about 14 boosters of a pack called "Cybernetic Revolution"...and got about the same number of Machine-Type monsters out of them. In fact, I got loads of "Ebon Magician Curren" for some reason. How can I build a Deck if the packs don't match what they're called?!

- The 5Ds 'cover cards' are the four dragon monsters, "Stardust Dragon", "Red Demon's Dragon", "Ancient Fairy Dragon" and "Black Rose Dragon".

- Earthbound Immortal arc.

- Almost all the new monsters being released aren't very balanced, IMO.

- Lightsworns are broken as hell.

- Earthbound Immortals were the second arc of 5Ds.

EDIT: Just faced an opponent with 2 "Plaguespreader Zombie" cards, and I had "Monster Reborn" in the temporary Deck.

I haven't played in a while, but I think 2 PSZs and a Monster Reborn are illegal O_o

That's the point. "Stardust Accelerator" cheats.

I see. If I were still into Yugioh, I'd ask you for the code.

You misunderstand. I'm not referring to cheats for the game. The game itself cheats. It doesn't abide by the banlist.

And now, "Stardust Accelerator" has stopped being a YGO game and has become an RPG. I have to get past guards without being seen, sometimes with a time limit. Oh, and since I was arrested by security, I haven't been able to use my Deck for quite a while.

If you're interested, I'm doing what Yusei did in the 5Ds anime, including dueling the Prison Chief and Lenny (in Satellite), now attempting to get my deck and D-Wheel back. It would have been nice if they had come up with an original story...
